If asked, it is said, "It is not so." The generation stage, or any of the body images, etc., are entirely artificial because they are established, and because they need to be accomplished by external means. Aggregation is the nature of decay, like a vase, etc. Therefore, what should those who practice falsehood and deception, or the yogis, do?" Thinking thus. If so, how did the Bhagavan teach it? If in doubt, he said, "Artificial actions," etc. When any of the artificial actions, such as the mandalas mentioned earlier, exist, they are taught in order to realize and understand the very nature of the siddhi of the mandalas, etc., but that itself is not the nature of the fruit. The very nature or essence of these is the co-emergent siddhi, and the mandalas, etc., that are being explained are entirely external artifices based on that yoga. Certainly, the mandala should be meditated upon in the body. It is also thought in this way. Those who have faith in the mandala, etc., are skillfully guided to meditate on them for a while, and later, through that itself, there is the accomplishment of the nature of siddhi, and it is also necessary to show that they abandon attachment to those external objects and enter into the inner self. How those who seek the other shore, etc., are explained by metaphors, such as those who seek to reach the other shore of the ocean, etc., rely on the effort of riding in a boat and using oars, etc.

Saying that it is doing one's best and not being artificial is a special characteristic. Such a person is difficult to find, just as sandalwood and the like are difficult to believe in the completion stage. One should understand its kind through the differences in characteristics, just as one knows there is fire from smoke, and one knows there is water from water birds. The lineage of a Bodhisattva, a wise person knows through characteristics. Because it is said in the sutra. Here, for the time being, only fully understanding one's own nature is Bodhi. Even if there is nothing being practiced, it will become clear. It is said to dispel the doubt that clarity and non-clarity will become the cause of Bodhi. Mandala and so on, and so on. For a yogi with false thoughts, it is first stated that he has mandala and so on, that is, writing or contemplation. All of these, whether good or bad, are being practiced, and for the time being, they will become clear, but it cannot be said that that is the reality, this is the remaining part. Adorned with braids and possessing light, with white animal skin on the shoulders, holding a water pot, and smeared with ashes in the form of a Rakshasa. Here, whatever, whatever the ignorant ones practice, will appear in front of that person. Because it is said in the sutra. Will various activities also become not the reality like mandala and so on? To dispel this doubt, it is said that it includes various activities and so on, that is, the Blessed One, for those practitioners who are troubled by various things, has taught the tantra with various activities, but that is not the reality. Its intention is to correctly recognize and experience the supreme co-emergent thing, because when one begins to practice in order to accomplish various activities, it will manifest and destroy it only through that door. The co-emergent thing that has the nature of self-nature accomplishment Dharma, and has the image of supreme space. Having this intention, therefore, teaching such a tantra is not meaningless. In order to understand sound and so on, it is illustrated by examples, just like the non-Buddhist hermits.

Those, in order to merely understand sounds, create treatises on sounds; however, in doing so, not everyone will realize that very truth. Similarly, following after karma, when enumerating colors and shapes that correspond to it, they act like musicians and singers, etc. Because they lack lineage, virtuous friends, accumulated merit from the past, and correct aspirations, those people will not attain freedom from elaboration. Only those who possess lineage, etc., will make it manifest. It is also said: The vast Dharma is hearing, relying on virtuous friends, and also entering from lineage; from this, one will act without regret. So it is. It is not merely that one will not attain that very truth, but as long as the body is engaged in the activities of afflictions, and one's own mind is still engaged in the meditation of discrimination, that is artificial and will not be attained either. Therefore, because both decline, practice will result in obtaining ignorance and even greater ignorance. A mind endowed with bliss will become samadhi, and a mind that is equally placed will become wisdom that understands reality as it is. So it is said. In the glorious Guhyasamaja Tantra also: With the excellent union of the mantra's body, there is no enlightenment and no meditation. Thus, having briefly analyzed, in the forms of body, speech, and mind, when meditating on the union of enlightenment, samadhi is regarded as mantra. And so on. In order to explain this meaning, effort causes afflictions to arise. And so on, it is easy to understand. Some say: When one realizes the non-conceptual samadhi, one will realize Buddhahood itself, like meditating on emptiness. Because in that, there are no all-encompassing afflictions and discriminating thoughts, therefore Buddhahood itself is also of that nature. It should be said: Buddhahood itself arises from non-conceptuality, and emptiness is like that, it is the nature of appearance. The aspects of form and cessation, abandoning both aspects is Buddhahood itself, this is contradictory.
