Until it is said that the grounds are me, that is, one's own mind. Thus, Maya, that is, the mind is like a mirror, naturally completely pure, and is merely self-awareness. In an instant, it is changed by the colors of conceptual thought, and appears as this and that, but whatever is seen and heard, etc., will perish. It is like images appearing in a clear mirror, good and bad, happiness and suffering, afflictions and near afflictions, all free from the temporary stains of the grasped and the grasper, and realizing that it is merely the appearance of one's own mind, that is the meaning. It is also said: All these dharmas are empty, showing the nature of dependent origination. It is also said that what I hear and see, etc., and the six senses are not objects and object-possessors, and all of these are false like a Gandharva city, that is the meaning. Or, Evam, that is, all of these are made and fabricated by oneself, therefore naturally completely pure.
