I take refuge in those who can dispel the fears of all sentient beings until I attain enlightenment. I also offer this body without difference to the mandala of Buddhas and Bodhisattvas for the benefit of all sentient beings. Afterwards, I will become a fully enlightened Buddha and benefit all sentient beings. Therefore, the yogi who knows the faults of attachment to conditioned phenomena and the benefits of non-attachment should abandon these three things without clinging: things to be enjoyed, such as external and internal activities; good things, such as past things; and one's own things of extreme poverty, abandoning them for the benefit of sentient beings. This is the determination to enter the accumulation of merit, the third. Fourth, the determination to meditate on the four immeasurables. ༄། །Then, in order not to degenerate from the supreme vehicle, one should also be fond of acting for the benefit of sentient beings. As it is said: "Great love is immeasurable in nature, great compassion is the supreme of minds." It means that because it acts for the benefit of all sentient realms that are immeasurable and beyond measure, it is immeasurable. Because great love is immeasurable, it is the nature of great love. Moreover, from beginningless time, wandering in samsara, just like the parents and so on established here, it is always like that. Therefore, all sentient beings ༄། །are relatives and friends. As it is said, one should love all sentient beings as one loves one's own beloved child. If a beloved child is pierced on a bright stake, how can parents have peace of mind? Only loving thoughts arise in the mind, and no other thoughts arise, and one spends day and night thinking only of the child. Similarly, those who possess supreme wisdom also abide in sentient beings with great compassion. Again, a skillful person goes to the presence of miserable parents and says: Friends, do not grieve like this. Give me whatever you have, and with whatever ability I have, I will reunite you with your child. They also agree to give. Then, the skillful person releases the child from the bright stake, restores him like a treatment, and gives him to his parents, making them very happy. Similarly,

If a superior person gives away all the roots of virtue they possess for the sake of liberating all sentient beings from the suffering of samsara, then the joy of sentient beings being free from suffering is incomparable to any worldly joy. At that time, due to the power of the joy of being with their child, they will not think of or count the previous suffering and possessions, but will remain in equanimity. Similarly, having seen the benefit of sentient beings, they will remain in equanimity without expecting any return for giving away the objects of merit. Therefore, one should pray to deliver those sentient beings who are shipwrecked in the ocean of existence, who have fallen into a precipice, and who are drowning in filth. This is the fourth certainty of meditating on the four immeasurables. Fifth, the certainty of entering the Vajra realm of Bodhicitta. Now, the ultimate Bodhicitta should be remembered, that is, the Bhagavan Buddha, the perfect Buddha, arises from A (Tibetan, Devanagari: अ, Romanized Sanskrit: a, literal Chinese meaning: A). A (Tibetan, Devanagari: अ, Romanized Sanskrit: a, literal Chinese meaning: A) is the most excellent of all letters, it is a sacred letter of great meaning. "ākāro mukhaṃ sarva dharmāṇām ādyanutpannatvāt" (Tibetan, Devanagari: अकारोमुखंसर्वधर्माणामाद्यनुत्पन्नत्वात्, Romanized Sanskrit: ākāro mukhaṃ sarva dharmāṇām ādyanutpannatvāt, literal Chinese meaning: A is the beginning of all dharmas, because it is unproduced). Now, the non-dual Bodhicitta should be remembered, arising from emptiness, without birth or death, abandoning words, it is the best cause of all words, making all words clear. "ārya sarva dharmāḥ sva bhāva ātmako'haṃ" (Tibetan, Devanagari: आर्यसर्वधर्माःस्वभावआत्माकोऽहं, Romanized Sanskrit: ārya sarva dharmāḥ sva bhāva ātmako'haṃ, literal Chinese meaning: Noble one, all dharmas, self-nature, I). For example, the fortunate one accumulates the accumulation of merit, the wise one accumulates excellent wisdom, the wise one knows existence and non-existence, the one who accumulates the two accumulations. Thus, by means of great compassion, the accumulation of merit is accumulated, and by means of the wisdom of emptiness, the accumulation of wisdom is accumulated, and doing the benefit of beings is Bodhicitta, and the two accumulations becoming one taste is its characteristic. That itself is A (Tibetan, Devanagari: अ, Romanized Sanskrit: a, literal Chinese meaning: A), thus all perfect Buddhas arise. Therefore, the Buddha arises from all letters, that is the most excellent. Therefore, even with diligence in vows, the mind should be developed into A (Tibetan, Devanagari: अ, Romanized Sanskrit: a, literal Chinese meaning: A). If asked whether A (Tibetan, Devanagari: अ, Romanized Sanskrit: a, literal Chinese meaning: A) is conventional truth, it is a sacred letter of great meaning. It is both meaning and great, therefore it is of great meaning, because if one can realize it, then one can accomplish the benefit of oneself and others. Therefore, it is called sacred and excellent.
