It is said that the lineage of the Tathagata is unbroken. The name Tathagata means one who has gone to reality, and reality is the suchness of all dharmas, as firm as a vajra. Because he has attained its essence, he is called "gone." Or, knowing that, or not having gone, is also called that. It is also said: "The glorious one who has gone to reality, and who comes again to reality, is therefore called the Tathagata." Lineage means bone. "Unbroken" means never changing. "The family and lineage of the Bodhisattva Mahasattva greatly increase" means that bodhi is as firm as the vajra previously mentioned. Thus, one should believe and accept what one has heard, understand it, generate the mind of enlightenment, and cause all sentient beings to abide in that place, which is called a Bodhisattva and a Mahasattva. Family means bone. "And" means a collection of various names. Lineage means seed, what was previously said, born from that, is holding the cause of its own nature. "Increase" means the meaning of many. What else does it do? It is said to cut off all the arguments of the outsiders. Those outsiders are different from one's own school. Argument means a Bodhisattva who seeks faults and wants to argue. "Cut off" means to make them without such power. He also does so because of his own ancestors, the essence of vajra, and non-action. Who is that arguer? It is said to subdue all the heretics. Because they hold onto the eternal and annihilationist extremes with inverted wisdom, they are called heretics. The sound of "all" means those who are ignorant and hold onto evil views. "Subdue" means a fierce sound, like killing an elephant and wearing its skin, it is also called that. The chapter on cutting off. Furthermore, it is said to subdue the armies of the four maras. The four maras are easy to understand. Army means a collection of troops. Multitude means the branches of darkness. All of that, like an image in a mirror, with a fierce body, and the activity of the Tathagata, tames the trainable with fierceness.

Just as clothes are not stained by dust, like form. The powerful sound of speech dispels illusions, hence it is the vanquisher. After such punishment, what should be benefited? It is said, "Perfectly gathering all sentient beings," because it is both sentient beings and all, so all sentient beings are born in their respective destinations and birthplaces due to their respective karmas, just like hair growing from the head. Perfectly gathering means gathering without inversion, gathering realization into the mind, and gathering with the four objects of gathering, which is perfectly gathering. That is like braiding the hair into one braid. Therefore, although things appear in various ways, the mind does not waver, and although the actions of Buddhas and Bodhisattvas are different, they do not deviate from benefiting sentient beings, that is its meaning. Furthermore, what else did they do? It is said, "All the noble paths of definite emergence are fully matured," from which, emergence is the result, the path refers to the path of practice, all refers to the Shravakas and so on, the noble path refers to the path of emergence from the three realms, such as the path of accumulation, fully refers to the supreme, and maturation refers to obtaining the ultimate result. It is said, "The samadhi of those who abide in the four Brahma-viharas," among which, Brahma himself is the perfectly complete Buddha. It has also been said, "Brahma Nirvana is the Buddha." The four abodes are loving-kindness, compassion, joy, and equanimity. "La" is a respectful term. "Those who abide" refers to the Mahayana practitioners, because other Shravakas and so on do not have such abodes. Samadhi refers to placing the mind equally on all dharmas, in reality it refers to mirror-like wisdom. It is said, "The meditation of those whose minds are one-pointed," meaning those whose minds abide in one-pointedness, those who follow the objects of the mind's consciousness and are distracted, thinking that they cannot abide equally, then focus their minds inwardly, with the wisdom of investigation and analysis, the joy and

Those are the objects arising from the heavens. Dhyana also refers to that. If it is said that it is only focusing on the mind, and not others, then, therefore it is said that those who strive to tame body, speech, and mind are yogis. Body means abandoning the evil deeds of the body and its places. Speech means abandoning the faults of speech and the evil deeds of speech. Mind means abandoning the afflictions and the evil deeds of the mind. That is, conduct that is grasped by mindfulness and awareness, abandoning fruitless activities, and constantly abiding in caution is called taming. Diligence means constantly rejoicing in that meaning. Yoga means causing body, speech, and mind to enter the yoga of tranquility and insight. Thus, after showing the actions of punishment and benefit, now in order to show being free from all faults, it shows "being separated from all pervasive actions," etc. Among them, pervasive actions are various harms such as poison, fire, weapons, enemies, etc. Separation means making it unbearable. Abandoning all afflictions and near afflictions means that all afflictions are the six such as desire. Near afflictions are the twenty such as deceit. The word "all" also includes universal afflictions, etc. Abandoning means making them separate. "All obscurations are completely pacified" means that it does not clarify the true meaning, it is the meaning of suddenly obscuring. All means the obscuration of afflictions, the obscuration of knowledge, the obscuration of karma, and the obscuration of birth. Pacified means purified. Being liberated from all fears means that fear is the mind connected with suffering. All means all the fears of this life and the next. Liberation means the mind is free from fear and attains happiness. Being liberated from all aggregates means that it is both aggregates and all, so all aggregates are all the aggregates of appropriation. These are said to be the nature of suffering. In short, it is the five aggregates of appropriation.
