Those born from wind are born from eggs, inside are lice. Those born from water are born from heat and moisture, inside are worms. Those born from fire are born from seeds, inside are the seeds themselves. Those born from the sky are born miraculously, inside are subtle minds. Outside, the first day and so on for five days are named joy, goodness, victory, emptiness, and fullness. Inside, they are in the aspect of white and black sides, such as the middle of the spring month, males, etc. The fifteen, three each from the tip of the left little finger joint, etc., are the white side, which is the order of sky, etc. The order of earth, etc., from the base joint of the right thumb, etc., is the black side. Thus, the days of the second month are the joints of the toes. Likewise, and so on, the wheel turns six times a year. In the heart, the eastern petal is the sun. Fire is the moon. South is Mars. The measure of six periods of a day is three hundred and sixty finger-widths. The enjoyment of one mandala in the nostrils is three hundred and sixty breaths. Each nostril runs through five mandalas, that is, five finger-widths. Below the two nostrils is the earth mandala, to the left is the water, to the right is the fire, above is the wind, and in the center is the space mandala. Equal movement comes from both. Each mandala has three hundred and sixty breaths, of which finally eleven and a quarter run equally in the center.
