It means that it is "taught by...". "Teacher" is an abbreviation of the words "teacher" and "petitioner". Now, for the sake of relying on a lama, (the following explains) "First" etc. as stated in the second chapter of "Perfect Examination of the Vajra Master". Here, for the practice of mantra, disciples who desire worldly and transcendental achievements should first rely on a lama, that is, they should truly and completely examine the assembly of "Perfect Examination of the Vajra Master" as it is said. Otherwise, if one relies on a lama who does not have the characteristics of perfect examination, the disciples' Dharma will be reversed, and because the Dharma is reversed, they will fall into hell. Therefore, it is said: "First, one should rely on a virtuous lama." Here, there are two kinds of vows, namely external and internal, which will be explained to be realized by indirect and direct meanings. Because he has this vow, he is a lama with vows. First, one should serve him truthfully, and also please him with sons and wives, etc. The so-called "abiding in the Vajrayana" means that the Vajrayana mentioned here is the vehicle of perfect and complete enlightenment, because it is not shaken by the vehicles of heretics, Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas, so it is Vajra, because one goes to liberation through this vehicle, so it is Vajrayana. Abiding in it means abiding in the Vajrayana. The so-called "meditating on it", the "it" mentioned here is of two kinds, namely accomplishing worldly achievements and accomplishing perfect and complete enlightenment, which will be explained in the fifth chapter, the chapter of wisdom, to attain the supreme and unchanging wisdom. It should be narrated from there. The so-called "meditating on it" means that this is the conduct of this (lama). The so-called "non-attachment" means that there is no attachment to everything such as sons and wives, and even to one's own body. The so-called "free from defilements" means that defilements are greed, hatred, ignorance, arrogance, jealousy and stinginess, etc. Being able to get rid of these in many ways is to be free from defilements. The so-called "conduct of patience" means that patience is to enter completely (into patience) by nature without expecting results.

Entering the path means the path of the perfectly complete Buddha, possessing the state of entering that path. If one relies on that lama, then for the disciples, the path is the giver, it will snatch away the destruction of hell. From that, possessing pure conduct means obtaining the supreme unchanging bliss. For the maras, meaning the skandha mara, klesha mara, death mara, and the son of the gods, for these four maras, like a vajra scepter, it is a vajra scepter. That is also widely known as Vajrasattva on the basis of the lotus-born, that is to say, in terms of the emanation body, this is the certainty of relying on the vajra master. Now, in order to fully examine the faults of a wicked master, it is explained by the three verses beginning with "possessing pride" and so on. Here, according to the rules of mantra, any lama who possesses faults such as pride, even if regarded as a lama, is like hell, and wise disciples, that is, those with wisdom, should abandon him, because he will not become the cause of perfect enlightenment. Because this person has pride, he possesses pride. Pride is also of many kinds, such as being conceited with erudition, being conceited with wealth and power, and being conceited with fully understanding those ten things, and being conceited with the path and appearance, etc., whoever possesses these should be abandoned. If one looks at lower beings, one will become proud, and if one looks at higher beings, one will become without pride. Therefore, those who understand the true path should abandon those who are proud and lack compassion, and likewise, they should abandon those who are conquered by anger. Separated from vows means that because one openly practices secret vows that are condemned by the world, one will become separated from vows, and this should also be abandoned. Greed for wealth is also, enjoying the heavy wealth of the sangha and stupas, etc., and the wealth of the lama, is greed for wealth. Similarly, accumulating wealth, etc., for the sake of samsaric enjoyment. Not having learning means ignorance, that is, being separated from the oral instructions of the holy path. Likewise, deceiving the holy disciples, seeking profit, that is, a liar, should also be abandoned. From the place of supreme bliss
