Attachment to deterioration is a sin, because hatred arises from extreme displeasure. From hatred arises ignorance, and from this, one's own vajra falls, and the mind is constantly deluded. One becomes extremely attached to all non-supreme things such as food and drink, and other objects. Due to this, happiness is diminished by doubts disturbing the mind, and one revolves in the six realms of existence. For those who seek the meaning of the path to omniscience, there is no great distinction between sound and non-sound. Even various bad local languages constantly lead great beings to the path. Due to the minds of sentient beings each having their own preferences, the speech of the omniscient one is different. For the prophesiers, the sounds created by gods and nagas, etc., are other than those who seek disputes. Even from local languages and corrupt sounds, The yogi grasps the meaning, Just as when milk is mixed with water, One extracts and drinks it with faith. The ultimate meaning is always present in the object, The great ones do not rely on pure words. One understands the meaning through the names of objects, What use are the pure sounds of scriptures? Whatever is expressed through corrupt sounds and sounds, That speech is not wisdom, Whatever is temporary for beings, That is not the speech of the omniscient one. The fourth, which is supremely unchanging, Is the wisdom of the Buddhas, Whatever that is, again in this way, The Victorious One said is one's own Great Seal. From the company of wisdom, whose white essence drips, How will his happiness increase? If flowers do not bloom in the company of spring, How will the fruit of the fallen mango arise? Whoever has not obtained the unchanging, is suffering, He seeks happiness with change. The chātaka bird seeks water everywhere, Even when thirsty, it does not stay on the ground. The happiness of samsara is impermanent, Even though it cannot be obtained, one seeks it with great ignorance. Even having obtained the happiness of a true kingdom, The wise abandon it for the sake of liberation. Just as at the crossroads at the end of the year, Wild animals seek the happiness of intercourse with food. With the powder of stones as food, Pigeons constantly do this, Because semen drips again and again, Neither of them has supreme happiness. Likewise, for the ascetic and the desirous, Because of emission from waking dreams. Just as there are snakes even in sleep.
