and lions, monks and Dharma wheels, and vajras should be displayed. Then, from the very essence of that great jewel, the bindu of light arises, and in the center of those eight symbols is the symbol of the Bhagavan, and the rest are emanated in the directions and intermediate directions, and displayed as before. Those displayed things merge into a variety of forms, and from the surface of the sky, the circle of light spreads, and in the heart, the sun rises upwards, and in the center of the precious particles, the seat of the Bhagavan is completely gathered, and one should meditate on it for a long time. By meditating in this way, the qualities and attainments of the mantra previously spoken by the yogi will manifest. These are the instructions from the glorious Heruka's instructions on the practice of combining various aspects, the nineteenth chapter. The twentieth chapter, the ritual of meditating on purity. Then, the mantra practitioner who has attained samadhi should sit on a comfortable seat and meditate on taking mind with mind. There is not even a little bit of the object of the mind outside of the mind, because it is separate from the nature of one and many. Because there is no object to be taken, there is also no mind that takes it. Therefore, one should meditate on non-duality, separated from things and non-things, aiming at various non-dualities, emptiness possessing all the supreme characteristics, mind-only as the cause, the nature of Hevajra. Then, one should meditate on that very thing, whether it is blue or yellow, etc., that appearance does not exist in external or internal things, because it is separate from the nature of one and many, as before. From beginningless time, agitated by the power of the habitual tendencies of ignorance, children perceive only that ignorant state. Taking that state as the cause and the object, all the dualistic discriminations and dualistic grasping of worldly people enter into a meaningless cause. As long as this appearance manifests, the ultimate truth is not seen, just as those with cataracts see empty things like hair and flies, etc. One should think of them as empty like hair, etc., and completely abandon all names and signs. Then, focusing on all dharmas, it is inexpressible and appears

Dwelling in the samadhi of no object, from the power of the habitual imprints of past practice, spontaneously accomplished, without any fabrication, all elaborations extinguished, without conceptualization, without appearance, it is the sole nature of seeing the emptiness of all dharmas, boundless like the autumn sun and sky. The wisdom that transcends the world, the bodhicitta possessing ultimate truth, is the nature of the path that is the antidote to all obscurations, great wisdom and great compassion are of one taste, one should generate the nature of glorious Heruka. That antidote exhausts the habitual imprints of the seeds of all defilements that exist in the alaya-vijnana, thereby stopping the consciousness that appears as place, body, and enjoyment. Then, having completely abandoned that alaya-vijnana, the nature of the unpolluted realm becomes the fruit of the self-nature of dharma, thereby manifesting glorious Heruka, and by its power, the sambhogakaya and nirmanakaya are also manifested. Furthermore, if one strives to meditate on this meditation, which is the nature of purifying all meditations, one will quickly attain the supreme bliss of enlightenment. If one quickly attains the supreme bliss of perfect and complete enlightenment through this meditation, then what is the use of other Herukas, as well as the mandala and signs of the yoginis, and seeds, as well as half-moons and sounds, and so on, which are characteristics of perversion? There is a need, it is like this: if one is to meditate only on consciousness, then one will only attain worldly samadhi, like the sphere of infinite consciousness. Then, if one is to meditate extensively on emptiness, then it is only nirvana, and not perfect and complete enlightenment, because there are no limbs of the Buddha's dharma. Then, again, one should meditate on the nature of the deity and mantra, as well as the seed, bindu, and sound. By that alone, one is not a Buddha, because it lacks limbs. Then, again, if one is to meditate on the suchness of the deities, it is not the deity, and so on; likewise, one will attain Buddhahood after many countless eons, not quickly. Therefore, if one meditates on both, it is because it is extremely beautiful, and
