Seeing the attainment of liberation as empty, seeing the attainment of the wisdom of selflessness as empty, and seeing the complete cessation of knowledge as empty. These are the eight aspects of pure liberation. Liberation means attaining happiness by completely abandoning all faults, and it is for the sake of ceasing the wisdom of completely realizing oneself and others, which is great bliss. The mudras are the sixteen emptinesses. Namely, inner emptiness, outer emptiness, inner-outer emptiness, emptiness of emptiness, great emptiness, ultimate emptiness, conditioned emptiness, unconditioned emptiness, emptiness beyond limit, emptiness of beginninglessness and endlessness, emptiness of own-nature, emptiness of non-own-nature, emptiness of all dharmas, emptiness of non-things, emptiness of own-being, and emptiness of the nature of non-things. These are the sixteen emptinesses. Now, the meaning of emptiness will be explained: The emptiness within all dharmas is inner emptiness. The outer aspects of all dharmas being suchness is outer emptiness. The union of emptiness and compassion being inseparable is from the guru's instructions, and thus it is inner-outer emptiness. That which arises from inseparable union is manifestly called great emptiness. That which is empty from great union is called emptiness of emptiness. Therefore, ultimate reality is supreme from supreme, and the most excellent is ultimate emptiness. These are the six emptinesses. Unifying everything with all aspects of manifest conditioning is conditioned emptiness. Unconditioned means that there is no action and all arising is unified. Possessing the excellence of all aspects is called emptiness beyond limit. Emptiness of beginninglessness and endlessness means that it is inseparable from it. Emptiness of no own-nature means that it arises from the aspect of the nature deity. The five aspects refer to the emptiness of aspects, which is emptiness of own-nature. The own-nature of no own-nature is own-
