In order to attain benefit and the bliss of the Buddha, one should examine whether the nature of the mind exists or not, and realize it like the moon in water. As long as there is the arising of the blindness of conceptual thought, it will be accompanied by endless suffering results. When one knows the emptiness of the mind and abandons conceptual thought, then the non-conceptual bliss that pleases the noble ones will arise. Having exhausted the grasping and the grasped of conceptual thought, seeing the emptiness of one's own mind, one will also see the emptiness of all dharmas extensively and clearly. As it is said in the Four Seats, "With the signless mind, one will realize all that is to be signified." Thus, having shown the characteristics of the combination of pith instructions, now the characteristics of the means of the main practice of meditation are explained. As it is said, "Thus that yogi, having committed faults in yoga." In the Mahamudra it says, "Having ascertained emptiness, one should meditate." Then by what means? It is then said, "Afterwards, one should make up for one's own broken vows," that is, on the basis of keeping the vows, one should meditate after the guru has granted the pith instructions. As it is said in the Samputa Tantra, "The secret of secrets is the great secret, the secret of consciousness and wisdom, one should abandon wrong teachings and so on, one should also know the characteristics of the object, the characteristic of what is to be signified is that itself, it will be obtained through the path of the guru." Having explained the characteristics of the means, the characteristics of transformation are: "The arising of common accomplishments." From this point, with one verse, the fabricated meditation, recitation, mantra, and mudra are briefly shown. As the teacher Nagarjuna said, "If one has found the elephant, why seek the elephant's footprints?" Then what does it symbolize? "With the union of the deity of one's own desire, reaching the ultimate with the Buddha himself, the characteristic of what is to be signified is actually done." That is, in the generation stage, one meditates on the deity of one's own desire, in the completion stage, one clearly symbolizes with the mudra of the deity of one's own desire, thereby realizing the characteristics of samsara and nirvana that reach the ultimate with the Buddha himself, and seeing the three realms as like the sky.

Therefore, one will realize. What is it cultivated through? It is focusing on the supreme master. It is through becoming accustomed to self-awareness manifestly, day and night. Having explained the characteristics of uncontrived meditation in this way, now I will explain the characteristics of the place. From "mountain peaks and peaceful places" to "the one who knows mantras, then cultivates the place," the characteristics of the place are shown. Then, what should one cultivate? It is said, "Cultivate with bliss." It means to cultivate with the bliss of contaminated pleasures, such as joy and supreme joy. What is the method for that bliss of emptiness? "Without wisdom and means, one will not attain Buddhahood." This means that without cultivating emptiness in relation to the four mudras, one will not attain non-conceptual wisdom. Having explained the meditation that possesses a place in this way, now I will show the conclusion. "Therefore, in this way, perfect enlightenment," it is said. The perfect enlightenment of the result, if there is no manifest path of abandoning the four self-natured mudras and uniting equally with them, then one will not attain accomplishment through emptiness alone or self-awareness alone. Having explained the method of gradually entering emptiness in this way, now I will explain the third method of union. "Because wisdom arises from this, it should be combined with the four mudras." This means that just as the waxing moon, the bliss of vipashyana arises from the bliss of shamatha, which depends on the objects of the four mudras. Having shown it concisely in this way with half a verse, now I will explain the characteristics of the mudras in detail. "Ignorance is the samaya mudra," which means that the yogi who believes in Vairochana, generates the Buddha eye from a woman of the Brahmin caste, and then enters into samadhi. From the nature of the three joys, he seals it with the bliss of emptiness. This is the samaya mudra, which is like cultivating emptiness like a mirror. "Hatred is always the great mudra," which means that the person who believes in the Vajra family, generates a woman of the Kshatriya caste as Mamaki, and seals it with emptiness at the end of co-emergent joy. This is the great mudra, which is the dharmata of equality. After jealousy
