Falling into evil destinies, being harmed by various causes, and producing similar karma or karmic imprints are called sins. They are established by the characteristic of definitive words. Non-virtues are the inverted nature of bodily misconduct and so on, which are all afflictions. Those who desire liberation should abandon them, but because they hold their own characteristics, they are dharmas. Generating aspiration means engaging in diligence like wearing armor. Exertion is the diligence of application. Initiating diligence is the diligence without discouragement. Focusing the mind and abiding correctly is the diligence of means. Therefore, when the mind is timid, one should focus and elevate it. For a distracted mind, one should abide correctly, that is, gather it in. Virtues are the mind of enlightenment and the perfection of generosity, etc., along with their retinues, which are to be cultivated by those who desire to benefit themselves and others. Therefore, they are dharmas to be embraced. In order to maintain the arisen virtues, it is in the path of accumulation. Meditating through methods such as immeasurable meditation, formless meditation, and immeasurable meditation is to observe how it will arise again in the path of application. Completing it in the path of seeing is to observe how it will increase in order. Completing what is not complete is to meditate on the path of cultivation on the stainless, etc., and to observe how it will become vast in order. Again, arising, increasing, and becoming vast, in short, refer to the differences in actions such as generating aspiration. Miraculous power is perfection, referring to transcendental dharmas such as clairvoyance, mastery, power, and fearlessness. The four causes of miraculous power are the miraculous feet. These four are: the samadhi of aspiration, the samadhi of diligence, the samadhi of mind, and the samadhi of contemplation. Therefore, some people can achieve great things by just having a strong desire.

Here, by those who abandon the antidotes, abiding in the mind, with the nature of one-pointedness of mind, respectfully practicing samadhi, is diligence, born from strength. Also, with the diligence of right abandonment, they greatly practice abandoning unwholesome things and generating wholesome things. Also, with quiescence and superior insight and equanimity, they purify all minds with reason. Also, what subtle unwholesome deeds have I done? What should I contemplate? Thus, they abide in right mindfulness. In them are the samadhis of desire and so on. When these arise, dullness and sleep, and agitation and regret, and jealousy and stinginess, and shamelessness and lack of embarrassment, and anger and concealing the nature of concealing sins, said to be the ten pervasive entanglements, in the adornment of the victorious antidotes, distinguishing all dharmas, if they have been long gone. Desire and hatred and pride and ignorance and doubt and the view of the aggregates, the view of extremes and wrong views and the view of holding views as supreme and the view of holding vows and observances as supreme, said to be the ten latent tendencies, in the adornment of the victorious antidotes, distinguishing all dharmas, for the sake of abandoning them, with right abandonment, only the samadhi of diligent effort, all the faults of laziness and forgetting the object and sinking and agitation and non-attention and attention, said to be the six antidotes, one should cultivate the eight actions of abandonment, namely faith and desire and effort and extreme pliancy and mindfulness and awareness and attention and equanimity. Among them, the first four are the antidotes to laziness, thus in the qualities of samadhi and so on, the nature of having, the nature of having qualities, and the nature of having power, the faith of manifesting deep belief, from this yogis and others manifest the arising of desire, from this arises diligence, from this the ability of body and mind, from this laziness is dispelled. Mindfulness is the antidote to forgetting the object. Awareness is the antidote to sinking and agitation and so on, because it can closely grasp them. Among them, there are two causes of sinking of the mind:

E! Because the body and mind become heavy, when the mind realizes the object of focus, the characteristic of being incapable is called lethargy. Moreover, the cause of the five consciousnesses arising in opposition, and the consciousness also becoming foolish, possessing such characteristics, is called sleep. The food for lethargy and sleep are the five: ignorance, displeasure, yawning, not knowing moderation in food, and discouragement. Agitation is indicated by regret. The food for these are the four: thoughts of relatives, thoughts of country, thoughts of immortality, and memories of enjoying the eighth and affection. Their function is to prevent the mind from being pacified. When there is sinking, agitation, and lack of pacification, the fault is lack of effort. As an antidote to this, one should cultivate mindfulness. When sinking and agitation become pacified, when the mind arises spontaneously, there is the fault of effort. At that time, one should cultivate equanimity as an antidote. These eight causes of abandonment make samadhi capable, and through this, one can perfect qualities such as miraculous powers. This is also the sequence of calm abiding here. First, the bodhisattva inwardly places the mind on the object of samadhi. Then, by preventing it from going elsewhere, one causes it to arise continuously. Because the nature of the mind is to be agitated, if the mind wanders elsewhere in any way, one should realize this and quickly gather it back. By making it more and more subtle, one causes the mind to abide on that (object). One should rejoice in samadhi. And one should see the qualities of samadhi, which are all the extraordinary qualities up to the Tathagata. One should pacify displeasure, by seeing the faults of distraction, which are all the sufferings up to the uninterrupted hell. One should pacify the arising of greed and displeasure, like displeasure. Thus, with seven aspects, one can cause the mind free from faults to arise spontaneously. After entering spontaneously, from one's own effort
