The tantra called "Supreme Bliss of Dakini Illusion," the great yoga tantra called "Subduing Accomplishes Meaningfully," the great yoga tantra called "Glorious Guhyasamaja," and the great yoga tantra called "Definite Utterance of the Lama," and so forth, were all taught. Thus, countless liberations of secret mantras were taught. Among them, the Glorious Guhyasamaja and others are tantras of means, while the Chandra Guhya Bindu Tantra and the Vajra Net Tantra and others are tantras of wisdom, which are extremely hidden. The Teacher also did not teach them to everyone at all times, but spoke of them as being extremely secret, revealing them as the domain of those with extremely great wisdom, and concealing the meaning of the secret while teaching them. Why was it that even when the great sage Dipamkara Buddha manifested perfect complete enlightenment, he did not teach or reveal them? Similarly, when Vipashyin and Ushnishachakra and others manifested perfect complete enlightenment, they did not teach the liberation of secret mantras. When the great sage Dipamkara Buddha manifested perfect complete enlightenment, he did not teach the secret tantras. Near the end of the final five hundred years, the Sugata Shakyamuni, in order to enable beings such as gods and humans who have karmic connections and fortune to attain great accomplishments with little effort in lifetimes such as seven, manifested as the Buddha himself and as Brahma and others in the form realm to encourage them. In the desire realm, he manifested as the great Ishvara and others, and in order to subdue asuras and demons, he manifested the great body of the glorious Heruka with nine dances and subdued them. For most of the gods and nagas of the desire realm, he manifested as the glorious Vajrapani, Samantabhadra, Manjushri, and Vajrasattva, and guided them to enlightenment through the liberation of secret mantras. Also, in Jambudvipa and elsewhere, in order to subdue people, he manifested as the Buddha himself and in the guise of a universal monarch. In order to subdue heretics, he manifested in the guise of heretical teachers, with five faces and five topknots, five side-locks, and naked with ashes.

Having subdued by manifesting in forms such as the earth deity, and similarly, to subdue each of the six realms of beings, manifesting in forms, and thus establishing them in enlightenment. This tantra is even more secret than secrets, it is taught as the very last of all tantras. The necessity of mentioning the name of this glorious Hevajra Tantra at the beginning is so that the beings who hear it will not turn into a cause of regression, therefore the name is mentioned at the beginning. Furthermore, it is taught that it possesses the four limbs of necessity and connection at the beginning, namely: the subject matter, the need, the connection, and the need of the need. Among these, the subject matter is taught from "Thus I have heard, at one time" up to "Free from faults, bestowing liberation and peace, you are the father, the self-master." The need is to enter the mandala according to this itself and the text, receive empowerment and take vows, obtain the oral instructions, and accomplish through the mandala and fire puja, as well as offerings, recitations, and one-pointed samadhi, this is the need. From that, obtaining the siddhi of the great mudra, acting for the benefit of beings until samsara is empty, like the twelve examples of illusion, this is the need of the need. The connection is that entering the mandala and taking vows, etc., are the cause, and obtaining the siddhi of the great mudra is the result, and these two are connected in the manner of cause and effect, therefore it is the connection. The first examination of the cause of this is taught as thirty-two, and it is said that these are the two examinations that the teacher extracted separately. Some say that the first examination is the first cause of what is called the Vajra Net Tantra, and the first of the two divisions here is the subsequent tantra, and the second is the subsequent's subsequent. Because it is not biased. This is a brief explanation of the meaning of the words from the commentary composed by the teacher Vajra Chandra. "Thus I have heard, at one time," regarding this, the compiler Vajrapani said that it was not only heard and transmitted from the teacher, but that it means that this tantra was heard manifestly at one time. Some think that the compiler of this tantra
