They say, "It makes and liberates." Likewise, the naked ones say, "It is life." Likewise, those who speak of sentient beings say, "It is sentient being." Those who speak of time say, "These beings are gathered by time." Some who speak of persons say, "The person is filled with karma and causes them to flow into samsara." The term "all things" is known in the world and established by scripture. Its nature is that it truly exists by its own nature and exists conventionally, appearing as such due to the distinctions of conceptual thought. Because it transforms into various forms in the manner of illusion. Then, how should equanimity be made the object of practice for students? Therefore, it is said, "The first" and so on. "Just joy" means joy without distinction. The second number is the number two. "Particular joy" means joy that has become particular. Thus, in order to make it the object of practice for students, that innate joy is equanimity and so on. When the sound indicates with certainty the distinction of the characteristics of an instant, how do the retinue transform by it? Therefore, it is said, "Vajra heart" and so on. Wonder is doubt. Falling is having fallen. When thinking about how it arises, therefore it is said, "The first" and so on. The form of the goer is what is known by the goer. It should be added to "supreme joy itself." The word "itself" is for certainty. The three joys themselves are known successively by the goer, and there is no higher joy than that. "There is no simultaneous arising of the three" means that those three do not arise simultaneously, nor is there true knowledge, because the natures are not the same. "Think" is a concluding word, meaning that doubt has arisen in this way. The verses such as "Bhagavan" are also concluding words. The one body of all Buddhas is the one body that arises simultaneously, the nature of non-duality. Because it cuts off, it is elimination. Good means excellent. For the sake of being realized.

It is called so for the purpose of ascertaining. What is it? It is the absence of desire, and so on. Desire is extreme joy, it is the very desire to produce fruit. Moreover, it is not directed towards the very nature of perfect enlightenment. Detachment is a special joy, it is the very destruction of fruit. Therefore, it is not directed towards the nature of enlightenment either. The middle way is the joy of the first stage of bliss. As stated in the eighth chapter, the middle way is just joy. How is this the middle way? Because it is inferior. In the world, whatever is inferior is called intermediate, just as one says intermediate family and intermediate body. That joy is also not directed towards the very nature of perfect enlightenment. Thus, desire and detachment are only enlightenment, they take fruit as their object. However, it is not perfect enlightenment. The middle way is not even enlightenment, because it takes touch as its object. Similarly, in the sixteenth chapter, it says: There is no beginning, no end, no middle. It will be explained that the meaning of no beginning, no end, and no middle is that having abandoned those three moments, one should fully understand that other than those, it is co-emergent joy. That itself becomes the nature of fruit, and is called co-emergent enlightenment. Because it is to be known by oneself, that wisdom itself is also called fruit. Because the enlightenment of the fruit of true bliss manifestly inclines, it is called enlightenment. How can this be fully understood? Because extreme joy is the desire to produce fruit, and the characteristic of the destruction of fruit is special joy. What abides between them is this supreme wisdom, and its characteristics have been well explained by the very words such as co-emergent. Furthermore, it is said to abandon the three, this is unreasonable, because the Dharmakaya of perfect enlightenment, which has no beginning and no end, is itself co-emergent, so how can one think that it is not present in the three joys? Therefore, it is said "or" and so on. "Or" and "any" are synonyms. That all
