In the liberation bindu, the supreme unchanging bliss is where meditation abides. Its limit is the complete fulfillment of bliss at the peak, which is the limit of meditation, because of holding it. As it is said, "Holding the peak of the four meditations." Now, regarding the six-limbed yoga, the meaning here is: The Sutra is realized by other Sutras. Thus, the certainty of the Tathagata. Thus, as it is said in other Sutras, this six-limbed yoga should be practiced, namely: withdrawal, meditation, breath control, retention, recollection, and samadhi. Yoga is considered to have six limbs. Here, withdrawal means that the eye consciousness and so forth of the senses such as the eye do not enter into external objects such as forms, while the divine eye consciousness and so forth of the senses such as the divine eye enter into internal objects. That is, focusing on emptiness within, seeing all things without discrimination, emptiness appearing distinctly, appearing subtly, like a young woman seeing in a mirror. This is called the limb of withdrawal. Therefore, one can see the Buddha's images of the three realms separately. Then, meditation refers to all phenomena that are empty and visible, with wisdom as the foremost, the mind entering into them, and conception, which is holding the object of the mind, and action, which is distinguishing objects separately, and joy, which is attending to all objects, and unwavering bliss, which is truly experiencing bliss in all objects. These are considered the five limbs of meditation. Then, breath control refers to the blocking of the right and left channels, with the life-force constantly entering the central channel, Avadhuti (Sanskrit: Avadhūti). It is done through the combination of exhaling, filling, and vase breath, which is called the limb of breath control. Then, retention refers to the great life-force and the mandalas of water, fire, and wind, entering into the navel, heart, throat, and forehead, not going outward, but causing the life-force to enter the bindu, which is called the limb of retention. Then, recollection refers to self

For the desired deity, seeing it as an image without discrimination. From that, the essence of radiating immeasurable light is the mandala of light. From that, the essence of radiating various forms is what delights the three realms, which should be called the limb of mindfulness. Thereafter, what is called samadhi is to arise attachment to the desired deity, thereby obtaining unchanging bliss. From this, making the mind focused on one point, the mind being held, and being separated from clinging, this should be called the limb of the Tathagatas' samadhi. Here, the six-limbed yoga is briefly spoken. The extensive explanation is like the Ornament of Clear Realization or the Supreme First Buddha, yogis should realize from the oral instructions of the lama for the sake of the accomplishment of Mahamudra. The auspicious First Buddha also said: Separately holding, the yogi is separated from objects and appearances, all mantras are blessed. The five superknowledges will be obtained, the lord of men is purified by the combination of meditation. Purified by the effort of life, separated from the moon and sun, the Bodhisattvas offer. Demons and afflictions, etc., will enter the ten powers and other qualities, by the power of holding. If mindfulness is well purified, the mandalas of stainless light also arise from wisdom vision. Thereafter, if purified by samadhi, within a few days, the wisdom body will be accomplished. As the Bhagavan said: One should know for oneself, etc., the extensive explanation of this word. Auspicious What is said in Stainless Light: If children say this, if the Tathagata's wisdom is self-knowing, then how does the Tathagata say that all dharmas are without self-nature? To this it should be said: Here, the Tathagata's wisdom is to realize that all dharmas are without self-nature, not that all things are without nature, but it is an extremely sleepy mind. Auspiciously, it is also said in the Prajnaparamita Sutra: Subhuti, what is the mind that has a mind, that mind is not a mind, that is, self-nature is luminous. Auspiciously, the name is truly spoken.
