Etc., contemplating the eight-petaled lotus in sequence, the moon and sun are formed from the complete transformation of Āli and Kālī. In its center is the seed syllable. The nature of oneness is the wisdom of accomplishing activities. The ultimate perfection of form is the perfectly pure wisdom of the Dharmadhātu, which encompasses all. There, in the center, is "my family." "I" am the vidyā, the vidyā is the great mudrā. "Together with you" refers to understanding from the very nature of union yoga. As it is said: Being stained by great desire, from the nature of joy free from joy, as the cause of the nature of co-emergent joy, from the wisdom of accomplishing activities arises the nature of perfect form. Eight faces and four legs, adorned with sixteen hands, equally suppressing the four māras, causing fear even to the fearful, wearing a garland of heads as a necklace, dwelling in the sun, accompanied by music, holding a variegated vajra on the crown of the head, black in color, is the terrifying one. It is said that the mandala of wisdom and the mandala of samaya are one and the same. As mentioned above, "Sixteen hands and eight faces," etc., what is said is the nature of the wisdom mandala, which is expressed as the essence of wrathful vajra. Now, beginning with "eight faces," etc., it is inseparable from the samaya mandala. Vajradhara is the nature of both mandalas. Eight faces means two sets of four. Four legs means each one. "Adorned with sixteen hands," because each set of four has the nature of four. "Equally suppressing the four māras," means the four joys are equal in one taste. "Causing fear even to the fearful," means abandoning all objects of focus. "Wearing a garland of heads as a necklace," means the two garlands of Āli and Kālī nāda are inseparable. "Dwelling in the sun, accompanied by music," means wisdom is the nature of expansion and contraction. "Holding a variegated vajra on the crown of the head," means the very nature of expansion. "Black in color," means the very nature of contraction. "The terrifying one,"

Both are inseparable, meaning that both possess the same nature. This means that the samaya wheel and the wisdom wheel are inseparable, hence the eight-faced nature of the Wrathful Vajra is proclaimed. To make it manifest, the syllable Hūṃ arises from that face. (Tibetan: ཧཱུཾ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanized: hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: 吽). Covering the body with ashes, with joy, two by two, entering into union, uniting with the Mother of No-Self, obtaining the bliss free from waves, possessing the nature free from waves. Therefore, from the nature of the eight faces of the Bhagavan, the syllable Hūṃ arises. What is the difference? Covering the body with ashes, ashes are fine dust. Thus, covering the body, what does it become the body of? That syllable Hūṃ, like the shape of a sesame seed, arises and does not even appear in the realm of space. What else is the difference? With joy, two by two, entering into union, joy is supreme bliss. Its two by two are the wisdom of both. Entering into union with it means being united. Therefore, uniting with the Mother of No-Self, truly uniting together, is the nature of non-duality. Thus it is thought. That is the Mother of No-Self, uniting because the Mother of No-Self is that. Obtaining the bliss free from waves, waves are like waves, the nature of manifestation, the conventional truth. Because being separate from it and relying on it is being free from waves, the nature of the conventional truth, the essence of the ultimate truth. The bliss that is thus attained is wisdom. Obtaining that is its nature. Thus it is thought. That wisdom also possesses the nature free from waves, the syllable Hūṃ that is thus attained possesses the nature free from waves. The colors of the eight faces are proclaimed. The root face is great black, the right face is like a blue lotus, the left face is red and extremely terrifying, the upper face is lustrous. As the meaning of the words is clear, other meanings should also be spoken. The first face is the root, that is also great black, the nature of clear light, spoken in the heart. The right face is like a blue lotus, the nature of Kālī, the essence of skillful means, spoken in the body. The left face is red,
