Upon the lotus petals, abides the wheel of great bliss. It is said to be the simultaneous arising of hearing, to be distinguished by dividing into two. The yoga of the conventional deity is, indeed, the aspect of the generation stage. That which has the form of stainless bliss, is the meditation of the completion stage. The Dharma taught by the Buddhas, truly relies on the two truths. Thus, also from other places, the aspect of the generation stage and, the very nature of the completion stage, relying on the two stages, Vajradhara teaches. As it is said, thus I have heard at one time. This is the explanation previously shown, there, in the assembly, the Bhagavan spoke. What kind of distinction is that? The essence of all the Tathagatas' body, speech, and mind, becomes the essential deity. Therefore, the secret of all the Tathagatas is Vajradhara. Even more secret than that is the loving Vajra, which is not to be taught to the Shravakas and others. This is something difficult to obtain, thus, knowing with faith, generating joy for the joyful assembly, the Bhagavan spoke, saying, "Emaho Vajra Essence," and so on. "Listen," means to connect with hearing. What does Vajra Essence request? He requests to ask about three meanings. The Bhagavan spoke, saying, "It is called indestructible Vajra." Saying this, because it is indivisible, it is indestructible, because it cannot be overcome by the opponents of self and others. What is that? It is the emptiness of all dharmas. Thus, in the presence of the noble Deva, because of speaking of emptiness, the one who stops the debate, stops everything. Because it is the same as what is to be established. Thus it is said, and the Bhagavan also said in the Vajra Pinnacle: "The essence is firm and the inside is not empty, it has the nature of indestructible Dharma, it is indestructible and does not decay. Emptiness is called Vajra." Thus it is said. The hero, the three existences are one, as it is said, the existence of existence is the hero, the condition

This nature is the very act of doing good, which is the nature of the five aggregates. The Blessed One said, "All that is called Brahmin is the five aggregates." These are the three existences: body, speech, and mind. When these become one, there is no reality of duality, because it has become the ultimate of clarity. "This wisdom and reasoning" refers to the Perfection of Wisdom and the investigation of the Middle Way. "It is called Vajrasattva" refers to the Dharmakaya. In "the taste of great wisdom" and so on, great wisdom is the supreme Dharma of the Great Vehicle. Its taste is experience, which fills it. It will be taught as follows: In a palace adorned with various supremely blazing jewels, a body adorned with perfectly pure marks and signs, gathered together with a multitude of countless yoginis, satisfied with the taste of great bliss by the nature of playful display, and unchanging until the end of samsara, is the meaning of permanence. Such a great being is called the Sambhogakaya of the Buddha. Because it pervades everywhere with the connection of "always" and so on, it is a samaya. Because it appears in various ways in the three realms for various beings to be tamed by whatever means are appropriate, it is a samaya. Because it always enters, it is a Bodhisattva. The immeasurable lineage of the Nirmanakaya of the Buddhas is expressed by the name Samayasattva. What is the meaning of "Vajra Heart's question"? It is asking about the meaning represented by the name of the cause of the Vajradhara nature of loving Vajra, such as the abbreviated name "Hevajra." In "the nature of skillful means and wisdom" and so on, Tantra means continuity. It is also of three types: the continuity of cause, the continuity of effect, and the continuity of skillful means. Here, the cause is a sentient being of the Vajra family. The form of the fully complete Hevajra is the effect.

The method is the path with characteristics to be explained in the future, including actions. That is what Vajradhara, the lord of speech, indicated with the words "Thus have I heard." Because he intends to explain those separately, he uses "Listen" to connect hearing with it. If it is just to show those? The answer is, he said "drawing the gaze" and so on. The so-called "as appropriate" means according to the order of inferior, intermediate, and superior as stated in the chapter on deities. Generation is about essence and color, and so on. The place is the support. The action is the moon, the sun, the seed, and the mudra. The power is what arises from the ultimate recitation and meditation. Wisdom is about descending and so on. Consciousness is the work of the master. The deities are Hevajra and so on. How to generate is how to generate properly and truly. In "first" and so on, why is it called "first"? Because in this Mahayana tantra, in order to allow the first karmic beings to enter first, the meditation on the deity's body is taught. As it is said: For sentient beings with initial karma, the deity's body is indeed the meditation. In order to accomplish all actions, it is taught as the very first in the tantra. That is what is said. The second is in relation to the completion stage to be explained in the future, and in order to show that, it is called "one." The so-called "cause" is the great skillful means. In "by the nature of things" and so on, it appears as the nature of things and becomes the nature of the practitioner, that is, the body with the characteristics of the five aggregates. By that itself, one will be liberated. Vajra heart, great compassion. This is calling out. Some say that in the realm of nirvana without the remainder of the aggregates, there is liberation with the characteristic of no aggregates, and they understand it like this: If one can be liberated by the nature of things, then what is the bondage here? Therefore, it is said, "By things, it becomes bondage." Because of clinging to things as real and appearing as true, that is, the meaning of appearing as true and abiding and prevailing. If so, how will one be liberated? The answer is, by fully understanding that.
