And the very nature of things like pa, etc., does not exist, but abides in a state of non-attachment. It is thought that in this way one attains complete and perfect enlightenment. This verse is the fifth. These are the tenth chapter on empowerment from the explanation of Hevajra. Chapter Eleven: Explaining the Ways of Looking In order to explain the ways of looking briefly mentioned in the first chapter, the eleventh chapter is taught. Regarding "Equanimity," etc., equanimity is a distinction of the rigid way of looking. The way of looking that causes one to fall is taught. "Unruly" means through the door of fierce actions. "Having a forehead" refers to the two doors of the distinction of place. Causing to fall means causing to fall in that way. Falling is also a nominal term from the perspective of action. Empowerment is taught. "Empowerment," etc., two are the eyeballs, and expressing it as "two" means that both eyeballs are turned to the left. This is to be understood for the subsequent ones as well. Summoning is taught. "Summoning," etc., combining summoning with the way of looking means that both eyeballs should also be compared. Therefore, one should also turn and look with the two eyeballs on the right side. From above, the two eyeballs are also joined together, which means that, like the way of looking with fallen eyeballs, they should be joined to the forehead. Therefore, the forehead itself is mentioned. Explaining rigidity is "Madhyama," etc., being free from pointing to the left, etc., is equanimity, therefore it is Madhyama. "The end of the two noses" means that the two eyeballs abide in the Madhyama of the two nostrils, which is to be understood as a state of equanimity. In empowerment, one should look at the red हो (Tibetan, Devanagari ho, Romanized ho, Literal meaning: हो), or हि (Tibetan, Devanagari hi, Romanized hi, Literal meaning: हि) syllable. In the way of looking for summoning, one should look at the red हुं (Tibetan, Devanagari hūṃ, Romanized hūṃ, Literal meaning: 吽) syllable or ज (Tibetan, Devanagari ja, Romanized ja, Literal meaning: जा) syllable. For rigidity, it is the yellow लं (Tibetan, Devanagari laṃ, Romanized laṃ, Literal meaning: 朗) syllable or हुं (Tibetan, Devanagari hūṃ, Romanized hūṃ, Literal meaning: 吽) syllable. For falling, it is the black फट् (Tibetan, Devanagari phaṭ, Romanized phaṭ, Literal meaning: 啪) syllable. Through the combination of the elements of earth, water, fire, and wind, one should become accustomed to falling, etc., therefore it is said, "Through the elements themselves, one causes to fall," etc., which is easy to understand. "Vajra wood" refers to oily woods. "With movement" means having movement and agitation.

Moreover, like this, by constantly and continuously familiarizing oneself with reverence for a long time, the yogi's view becomes excellent and is accomplished. Therefore, it is said, for example, with "six months" and so on. "Do not be confused about this" means that here, like this, being confused with conceptual thought, that is, being confused with conceptual thought about cause and effect, action and function, is not done now. From where is it said? Saying "inconceivable," it means that the view is used to accomplish, and what is to be accomplished is the blessing. "Do not think" means that the nature of what is to be accomplished and the accomplisher is also produced from views that contradict scriptural and logical proofs, such as not thinking about accomplishing freedom and so on. It means that one should become accustomed to faultless views. What is that? Saying "Buddha," it means that having the wisdom to know all things and their co-emergent dharmas is the Buddha, that is, the previous yogi. What does his blessing mean? Saying "miraculous power," it means that those are enjoyed by accomplished yogis. Moreover, doing it with the idea of needing to enjoy dancing and so on, there is nothing for those who are clever and intelligent. However, this is the idea of guiding sentient beings, it is the word of the ninth letter. It can also be added, "Sentient beings enter their own doctrine." Then, how do sentient beings enter? Is it by falling and so on, by death itself? In order to refute this, it is said, "Here, killing is not an action." It means that action refers to harming and deceiving, etc., these should not be done. However, it is not very desirable to manifest, so it is said. "Vows" and so on, it means that the vows of the Buddhas are to surely and completely accomplish the benefit of sentient beings. Its violation is only non-abiding. It means seeing the power of falling and so on from wood and so on, and for the purpose of guiding untamed sentient beings, and also the remaining freedom and so on. "Having abandoned deceiving sentient beings, all non-actions are permissible," it means that all non-actions refer to any characteristic of the ten non-virtuous actions, which are permissible. However, it is abandoning the act of deceiving sentient beings.
