Now, if it is thought that this agrees with what Jey Gya Ray and Götsangpa said, it is because they intended it to be the ultimate state of freedom from elaboration (Tibetan: སྤྲོས་བྲལ་). There, all clinging to experiences such as clinging to emptiness are purified, and the realization of union and equality of taste (Tibetan: ཟུང་འཇུག་རོ་མཉམ་) arises, so it must be established as one taste (Tibetan: རོ་གཅིག་) (748). If we now place the small and medium freedom from elaboration, which explains the categories, on the path of seeing, I think it will be difficult to match its experience and level. Here, some say: 'One-pointedness, freedom from elaboration, one taste, and no meditation, four. One-pointedness is the path of seeing, freedom from elaboration is the seventh ground, one taste is the three pure grounds, no meditation is the Buddha,' some say. After saying such things, it will ultimately contradict all sutras and tantras. Although this is a well-known prohibition, I have not seen the famous lineage masters say it in this way. Even if it may exist, since there are many kinds of four yogas, there is no fault in combining the four yogas that realize emptiness in this way in accordance with the Dharma, because it is not said in all sutras and tantras that it is not permissible to combine them in this way. The way of expressing it is also not beautiful in today's terminology (749), because not all sutras and tantras are like that. Again, some say: 'For those who generate the path of seeing in this life, the qualities that arise after death are the lies of fools.' They explain that if the first twelve hundred qualities from attaining the path of seeing are not obtained in this life, then saying that they will appear in the next life is the lie of fools. This seems to be just wanting to speak arbitrarily, because it is not said that immediately after attaining the path of seeing, those qualities are obtained without transmigrating. Moreover, the characteristic of its birth is mostly said to be birth as a universal monarch, which also explains that it is obtained in the next life, etc., and not that it is obtained in this life. For example, even if one attains the path of seeing in a female body, the body does not transform into a universal monarch without transmigrating (750). If all the explanations of the initial qualities from attaining the path of seeing must be shown manifestly, then what need is there to mention the Indian and Tibetan pandits and siddhas? Even the bodhisattvas in the retinue of the Teacher must be said not to have attained the grounds of the path of seeing, etc., so it is not appropriate in that case.

Furthermore, in the *Ten Bhumi Sutra*, it is said that those who attain the first bhumi mostly take rebirth as a Chakravartin king, and if they renounce their home, become ordained, and dwell in the forest, they will attain twelve hundred qualities, including a hundred samadhis. Because it is said "mostly," it shows that not all are certain, etc., because it seems that discernment has not been applied, and throwing the *Ten Bhumi Sutra* into the realm of a fool's lies would also become a fault. Also, in *Ga Zhik*, using the example of a Garuda chick not yet hatched from its egg, even if one thoroughly realizes that one's own mind is the Dharmakaya (chos sku), the qualities of a Buddha will not appear in this life, because the key is that one has not been liberated from the three bonds, such as the shell of the body. And, when explaining that at the time of death, clear light manifests and the illusory body arises as the Sambhogakaya, etc., some say, "It is strange that the sun rises today, but the rays appear tomorrow," which is completely unreasonable. Because in that case, all the ways in which death transforms into Dharmakaya and the bardo transforms into Sambhogakaya, as taught in the Mantrayana path, would be demeaned. In the *Guhyasamaja Four Goddesses Question Sutra*, it says, "When the body of karma is destroyed, at that time, by its own power, it transforms into such a body, with which it pervades movement and non-movement. Like the equality of space, know that it abides therein." And, in the *Samhita*, it says, "When the body of karma is destroyed, in that way, one becomes a deity." etc., these statements would also become unreasonable. Considering these meanings, Je Zhang said, "The very moment one realizes the non-duality of the two graspers, suffering is not pacified, and qualities and abilities are not produced, but who would say that this is not the path of seeing? Just as when the sun rises the next day, the hail cannot melt, and the earth and stones do not warm up, but who would say that this is not the sun?" These words are to the point. For example, the moon on the first day, even if it is not full, is still the moon, a small child, even if it does not have the full abilities of a human, is still a human, and a lion cub, even if it does not have the full abilities, must be a lion. To this, Je Gyare said, "There are two kinds of Shravakas, adorned and unadorned, two kinds of Bodhisattvas, famous and unknown, two kinds of Mantras, secret practice and assembly practice, two kinds of qualities, those that are spoken of and those that can be shown, the qualities of the bhumis and paths, those with and without ideas, and great meditators with great and small diligence and strength."
