Therefore, it should be practiced. The qualities of the Tathagata (Thus-Gone One) are immeasurable. Similarly, the qualities of the unerroneous Suchness (Tathata), the non-different Suchness, Dharmata (the nature of reality), Dharmadhatu (the realm of reality), Dharmasthita (the abiding nature of reality), Dharmaniyama (the fixed nature of reality), Bhutakoti (the ultimate limit of reality), and the inconceivable realm are immeasurable.' and so on. In the *Garland of Jewels*, it is also stated many times in accordance with this. In the *Uttaratantra* (Treatise on the Sublime Continuum): 'Light and non-light are without difference, possessing the Ganges' sands of those who enter, the Buddha who has transcended dust, is complete with all qualities.' and so on. In the *Garland of Glory*, it is also taught in accordance with this. In the *Finger Garland Sutra*, it is also said: 'All sentient beings have the Tathagatagarbha (Buddha-nature), adorned with immeasurable excellent marks and signs.' and so on, there are countless such statements. In the *Cloud of Jewels Sutra*, it is also said: 'This is called Suchness, also called the Ultimate Reality, also called Omniscience, also called All-Knowingness.' and so on, it explains that Suchness and the self-nature of All-Knowing Wisdom have many names. In the *Distinguishing the Middle from the Extremes*, it is also said: 'The Dharmadhatu is the Buddha, the Buddha is the Ultimate Reality.' and so on. In the *Seven Hundred Prajnaparamita Sutra*, it is also said: 'Therefore, the Dharmadhatu itself is the Bhagavan (Blessed One).' It also says: 'The Dharmadhatu itself is Bodhi (Enlightenment).' These are all said to be of the same meaning. In the *Dense Array Sutra*, it is also said: 'The Tathagata is permanent, steadfast, enduring, and indestructible, it is the object of those yogis who cultivate the mindfulness of the Buddha, it is the Tathagatagarbha.' The proclaimed realm of Nirvana, indestructible like space, the sound of Nirvana, with the words of the Dharmadhatu, is taught by the Buddhas, the Blessed Ones, of the past, present, and future, whether the Tathagatas appear or not, the Dharmata of phenomena, the abiding nature of phenomena, the Dharmadhatu, the faultless Dharma, this is the Tathagata.' and so on. 'The wise realize individually, truth and the ultimate truth, transcending the realm of words, the reality of the Buddha is invisible, the sound of the Buddha is Nirvana, Nirvana is also the Buddha, free from conceptualization and thought, therefore it cannot be taught. Without cause and without effect, abandoning the distinctions of existence and non-existence, it is peaceful.' --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

For example, when sesame is ground into powder, gold is not visible, but through the process of refinement, gold becomes visible. And so on. Also in the Mother Tantra: 'Kausika! Just as the Dharmadhatu and the Prajnaparamita are non-dual, they are indivisible.' And so on. Furthermore, there are many supremely excellent scriptures that extensively explain the nature of Prajnaparamita, Suchness, the unchanging Perfected Reality, etc., that these are of one meaning, and their indivisible, all-pervading qualities, that these are inseparably, of one taste, and uncompoundedly merged together, may I see and realize these! Furthermore, since it is said that 'the Dharmadhatu is primordially free from defilements,' does this refer to the defilements of imputation? If it is said that it has not been separated from other defilements, then please give an answer to this. In response to this, it is necessary to examine and differentiate: Does 'imputation' refer to one of the two divisions of all phenomena, imputation and Perfected Reality? Does it refer to one of the three divisions of nature? Does it refer to one of the two divisions of what is to be abandoned, imputation and co-emergence? Or is it none of the above, and there exists a defilement of imputation? If it is the first case, then because there are no defilements that are not included in it. Therefore, there is no fault in saying 'the Dharmadhatu is free from defilements,' and it would also contradict your own words. If it is the second case, in the 'Stainless Light' it says: 'At all times, free from all obscurations.' And 'the three existences' refers to: 'At all times, all of the aggregates, etc., are pure, because all obscurations have been exhausted.' This is the definitive statement of the Bhagavan. And so on. In praising the Dharmadhatu, it says: 'The Dharmadhatu is unborn, and will never cease, at all times there are no afflictions, without beginning, middle, or end, free from defilements.' And elsewhere it says: 'Completely abandon all conceptual thoughts, pervading all things.' And so on. And 'Abandon all conceptual thoughts, the non-conceptual Dharmadhatu is inexhaustible.' And 'Transcended the nature of consciousness.' And 'Definitely liberated from all obscurations.' And 'Afflictions, near afflictions, all afflictions, and habitual tendencies are completely abandoned.' And so on. And 'Because the nature is completely sovereign, therefore afflictions are exhausted from the beginning.' And 'Exhaustion is not exhaustion through antidotes, but because it was originally exhausted, therefore it is said to be exhausted.' --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
