Indeed it is so. The four distinctions are: clearly revealing the meaning, so as not to be confused; having many methods, such as the binding of actions; even having committed the five heinous crimes, one can achieve one's desires in this very life, without having to endure the hardships of countless eons; and those who are fortunate and have sharp faculties. By virtue of these four distinctions, the mantra vehicle becomes particularly distinguished. Because the meaning of reality itself is one, there is no distinction from that point of view. This is what was said above. Therefore, these one hundred and sixty-two verses of the *Namasangiti* reveal the definitive meaning of all vehicles—the *Tathagatagarbha* (如来藏, tathāgatagarbha, tathāgatagarbha, Buddha-nature), the great wisdom that pervades all things like space, the *dharmadhatu* (法界, dharmadhātu, dharmadhātu, the realm of phenomena), the inexhaustible *mandala* (坛城, mandala, mandala, sacred enclosure), vast and boundless, the *dharmakaya* (法身, dharmakāya, dharmakāya, the body of dharma), the *jnanakaya* (智慧身, jñānakāya, jñānakāya, the body of wisdom), and *Prajnaparamita* (般若波罗蜜多, prajñāpāramitā, prajñāpāramitā, perfection of wisdom) of all the Buddhas, the non-dual wisdom, which is the basis, support, and place of all conventionalities, the *dharmata* (法性, dharmatā, dharmatā, the nature of reality), *tathata* (真如, tathatā, tathatā, suchness), the ultimate *dharma* (法, dharma, dharma, the law) itself. Only these are spoken of, and not even a particle of conventional *dharmas* (法, dharma, dharma, the law) such as the generation stage is mixed in. In the presence of the *Bhagavan* (薄伽梵, bhagavan, bhagavan, blessed one), the protector of the world, it was said: 'Through these one hundred and sixty-two verses, having extracted the essence from all vehicles, namely the essence of the *Bhagavan* (薄伽梵, bhagavan, bhagavan, blessed one) *Vajradhara* (金刚持, vajradhara, vajradhara, the diamond holder), the supreme, unchanging great bliss of *Samantabhadra* (普贤, samantabhadra, samantabhadra, universal goodness), reaching the limit of the *dhatus* (界, dhātu, dhātu, element) of space, illuminating everything, accumulating the collection of pure wisdom, holding a profound and vast form, the self-luminous nature, without beginning or end, free from the defilement of conceptual thoughts such as grasping at 'I' and 'mine', always unpolluted, knowing the nature of all *dharmas* (法, dharma, dharma, the law), liberated from the habits of *samsara* (轮回, saṃsāra, saṃsāra, cyclic existence), free from coming and going, the nature of non-proliferation, the *samadhi* (三摩地, samādhi, samādhi, concentration) that arises and grows spontaneously, and the support of various *dharanis* (陀罗尼, dhāraṇī, dhāraṇī, incantation), like a precious vase, a wish-fulfilling tree, and a wish-fulfilling jewel, fulfilling all the thoughts of all sentient beings, not the object of enjoyment even for the great *Thubpas* (能仁, thubpa, muni, capable one), making the great mass of sentient beings supremely peaceful, like an illusion, like a dream, like an image, like an echo, worshiped by the three realms, the self-aware wisdom of the *yogi* (瑜伽士, yogi, yogi, practitioner of yoga), is supremely unchanging.' --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This very bliss of transformation, the yogi should not abandon. 'This is the definitive statement of the Tathāgata.' Thus it is said. The meaning of the four empowerments is also the same; if that is not understood, all empowerments are meaningless. The Bhagavan, protector of the world, has said: 'If the fourth empowerment is not understood, all empowerments will become meaningless.' Thus it is said. Therefore, trusting paṇḍitas and gurus, etc., who do not know the meaning of the fourth empowerment is foolish excessive faith, and therefore should be abandoned. Because they lead to dharmatā from the path of speculation. As Ārya Dignāga said: 'Whoever leads to dharmatā from the path of speculation, that is a great degradation of the teaching of the Śākyamuni.' Thus it is said. Therefore, consciousness is the contradictory aspect of the truth of the path. Therefore, the Buddhas and the lords of the ten bhūmis, and the six ornaments and eight supreme ones, etc., those exceptional individuals prophesied by the Tathāgata are reliable, are trustworthy, and are worthy of being places of faith. But ordinary paṇḍitas and so on below that are not so, because they will certainly deceive those who do not engage in speculation. If paṇḍitas, wise ones like dharma-mitras, tamper with the Buddha's words, like reversing the order of the middle and later scriptures, without correcting, emending, and revising them, and even find fault with the Tathāgata, abandoning the inappropriate parts and teaching the good parts to those who seek liberation, therefore these wise ones are more reliable than the Buddhas, while the Buddhas and the bodhisattvas of the ten bhūmis are unfathomable, and it is not so, if that is thought, that is not reasonable. Because it is a perverted perception, a perverted mind, and a perverted view, therefore that is very inappropriate. As the Bhagavan Maitreya-nātha said: 'There is no one in this world more wise than the Victorious One, he knows everything completely and as it is, not known by others. Therefore, do not tamper with the sūtras established by the Sage himself, because destroying the Victorious One's way will also harm the true dharma.' Thus it is said. Then, is this Ajita also a liar? Please, wise ones, consider. Because there is no need, it is impossible.
