Abandoning the sinful view of mistaking definitive meaning for provisional meaning in the teachings. (Therefore, do so) To advise abandoning the faults of disbelief, there are two parts: advising to abandon many faults, and advising to take reverence as the method. (This is also mentioned in the Nirvana Sutra) To advise taking the benefits of faith, there are two parts: to cause the attainment of great benefits, and to advise to strive as the method. (Thus, the Tathagatagarbha) To abandon various kinds of wrong conceptions, there are three parts: abandoning the fault of assuming that all sentient beings possess complete abandonment and realization, abandoning the fault of assuming that all sentient beings have accumulated the two accumulations, and abandoning the wrong conceptions of mistaking what is to be purified, what purifies, etc. (If what is to be purified) This is the chapter on the basis. (In the basis) To rely on the supreme profound path that can attain it, there are three parts: generally explaining the nature of the Mahayana path, particularly explaining the uncommon view, and summarizing the meaning of the explanation, advising and making aspirations. (Therefore, the correct) The first part has ten aspects: explaining the reason why a pure path is needed, explaining the pure view of realizing self-emptiness, explaining the pure meditation of non-conceptual, free from elaboration, explaining the need for profound key points of instruction, separately explaining the two common types of meditation and conduct, clearly distinguishing between existence and non-existence, etc., and introducing them, explaining the need to understand the meaning of the three turnings of the wheel and mantras, using metaphors to illustrate how the three turnings of the wheel gradually purify the three defilements, clearly distinguishing the differences between the three turnings of the wheel and determining them, and eliminating many wrong misconceptions about them. (Here, some) Particularly explaining the uncommon view has two parts: vowing to explain, and the actual meaning of the explanation. This part has five aspects: explaining that because emptiness and non-emptiness, existence and non-existence, etc., are taught, the profound emptiness that surpasses self-emptiness is established; explaining that because many synonyms of emptiness are taught, the nature of reality that surpasses self-emptiness is established; explaining that from the form of pure nature of reality to omniscience, the ultimate truth that surpasses self-emptiness is established; eliminating various wrong misconceptions about them and determining the meaning as it is; and the excellence of realizing it as it is. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

How to abandon all inverted views? (Thus, correctly) First, it is divided into two parts: briefly presenting the various classifications of emptiness; determining their truth by explaining the meaning of these classifications in detail. The first part is divided into four aspects: distinguishing whether Dharma and Dharmata are empty or non-empty in their own nature. (For example, the Udumbara tree) It explains how it is said to be the emptiness of emptiness or the emptiness of non-emptiness. (Furthermore, all) It also explains how it is said to be the emptiness of adventitious defilements and the Tathagatagarbha. (Also, that Sutra) From these emptinesses, the great emptiness of profound secret mantras is particularly identified. (Similarly, glorious) Determining their truth by explaining these meanings in detail is divided into nine aspects: determining what is empty by emptiness and what is the basis of emptiness. (Thus, self-empty) It explains the meaning of whether it exists or does not exist in its own nature. (Furthermore, again) Thus, realizing this transcends existence and non-existence, permanence and annihilation, superimposition and denigration. (Here, not existing) It shows that the meaning of emptiness is the intention of the Mother of the Conquerors (Prajnaparamita). (The Hundred Thousand Verses, vast) It explains that the meaning of emptiness is without negation or establishment, and the meaning of emptiness and non-emptiness. (Uttaratantra root) It explains that the meaning of emptiness is existence and non-existence in reality, and the meaning of abandonment and realization, etc. (The Great Nirvana) It refutes the false notion that the basis of emptiness is other-emptiness and cites scriptures to refute this wrong view. (Here, if) It explains that the basis of emptiness is said to be the great emptiness of profound reality. (Furthermore, ultimate) Thus, abandoning superimposition and denigration of the scriptures that explain it. Here are ten points: pointing out that considering the Third Turning of the Wheel to be Mind-Only has no basis and is harmful. (If the teachings) It explains that the explanations of its profound intentions are also consistent with this. (The intentions of these) In particular, it points out that considering Madhyamaka to be Mind-Only also has the same fault. (Similarly, Madhyamaka) It points out that some people are confused because they do not understand the distinction between the two truths in Mind-Only. (Similarly, Lankavatara) It explains that the ultimate Mind-Only has also been explained in the profound secret mantras. (And after that) It explains the intention of the conventional Mind-Only that is spoken of in some places. (Again, if this) It refutes the fault of slandering other scriptures such as the Abhidharma. (Similarly, the Dharma Verses) If Mind-Only is temporarily explained, it becomes its own doctrine, which is too extreme. (If temporarily) If the Tantras are also considered to be Mind-Only, it shows that its intention is not understood. (Similarly, Kalachakra) Therefore, it explains the benefits and drawbacks of having or not having the key to discernment. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
