From the seeds themselves, each produces those things. Likewise, all living beings partake of the substance of Rasayana. It becomes nourishment for the six realms of beings. The gate of nectar is fully opened. The Protector of the World thus declared. Then, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva Manjushri, in concise words, said: To the gods, nagas, sages, and the great Dharma protectors among humans, the Licchavis and others renowned for their purity, these Nectar Rasayana Tanna Jhaya were taught. Firstly, the place and location for practice is: a place called Uhusitipaca, also called Vatri, at the summit of the golden-colored Mount Meru, the Horse-Ear Mountain, called Rasayana, practiced by the sages. Among them, some are accomplished in an instant, some require a day and night to accomplish, some require seven days to accomplish, and the longest requires twenty-one days to accomplish. Accomplishment is achieved without any doubt. The characteristics of all these are: roots, stems, branches, leaves, flowers, bark, fruits, and essence are all present, and taste, power, color, and function are all present. One root has eight branches, and eight branches produce a thousand virtues. The virtues of all these can also cure four hundred and four diseases, and will certainly destroy the four maras. The king of medicines, the essence of nectar, the Bhagavan thus declared. All these great sages will possess the five clairvoyances and will know the eighteen fields of knowledge. Then, begin to practice the medicine. On a platform one cubit high, smear with a clean mandala. In its center, place the best medicine, three kinds of nectar copper, and one bag of filtered milk squeezed from a yellow cow. Mixed with the powder of Ashokananda, put it in a pot and boil it. Pour it into an iron container and place it in the center of the platform. Recite these mantras of blessing, reciting a thousand times, a hundred times, or one hundred and eight times. Om Vajra Amrita Palaliga Pelaliga Chandaliga Svaha) This is the mantra for obtaining accomplishment. Amrita Sindhi Biicu Rnaya Svaha) Puza Laha Kana. Bless and eat, eat at noon.
