DKG099 0025.A Great Summary of the Characteristics for Accomplishing Teachers and All Activities..g2.0f

English

It is the meaning of knowing. It is a combination of the words for teacher and petitioner. Now, for the sake of relying on the guru, it starts with "first" etc., as stated in the second chapter of the Vajra Acarya Thorough Examination. Here, according to the principle of mantra, disciples who desire worldly and transcendental accomplishments should first rely on a guru, and that should be thoroughly examined according to the ritual of the spoken Vajra Acarya Thorough Examination. Otherwise, relying on a guru who does not conform to the characteristics of thorough examination will cause the disciples' Dharma to be reversed, and due to the reversal of the Dharma, it will lead to falling into hell. Therefore, it is said, "First, one should rely on a virtuous guru," here, "with vows" refers to two kinds of vows, namely external and internal, which will be explained to be realized by indirect and direct meanings. Because he has this vow, he is a guru with vows. First, one should serve him truthfully, and also please him with children and wives, etc., that is the meaning. "Especially abiding in the Vajrayana" means that the Vajrayana here is the vehicle of perfect complete enlightenment, because it is not broken by the vehicles of heretics, Shravakas, and Pratyekabuddhas, so it is Vajra, and one enters liberation through it, so it is Vajrayana. Especially abiding in it is especially abiding in the Vajrayana. "Meditating on that" means that "that" here refers to the two types of accomplishing worldly siddhis and accomplishing perfect complete enlightenment, and in the fifth chapter, the Wisdom Chapter, it will be explained to achieve the supreme and unchanging wisdom, and it should be declared from there. Meditating on that is the meaning of its nature. "Non-attachment" means that there is no attachment to everything such as children and wives, and even to one's own body. "Free from all defilements" means that defilements are the collection of desire, hatred, ignorance, pride, jealousy, and stinginess, and one who is free from many such defilements is free from all defilements. "The nature of patience" means that patience does not depend on the result, and enters excellently by its own nature. "Entering the path

The so-called path is the path to perfectly complete Buddhahood, which is the state of entering this path. If you rely on that lama, then the lama will bestow the path to the disciples and take away the fear of hell. From there, "having pure conduct" means obtaining the happiness that will not become inferior. The so-called demons refer to the aggregates, afflictions, the Lord of Death, and the sons of the gods. For these four demons, it is like a vajra scepter, a vajra scepter. That is also the well-known Vajrasattva on the basis of the earth, and the so-called incarnation refers to the determination to rely on the Vajra Master. Now, in order to fully observe the faults of the evil teacher, it is said in the third verse, such as "having arrogance." Here, in terms of the rules of mantra, no matter which lama has faults such as arrogance, even if he is regarded as a lama, like hell, the wise disciples, that is, those with wisdom, should abandon him, because he will become an obstacle to perfect enlightenment. Because this person has arrogance, he is arrogant. There are also many kinds of arrogance, showing pride to the wise, showing pride to wealth and power, and fully knowing those ten kinds, showing pride to the path and appearance, etc., whoever has these should be abandoned. If you look at the lower and lower beings, you will become arrogant, and if you look at the higher and higher beings, you will become without arrogance, so the wise who understand the true path should abandon those who are arrogant and without compassion. Similarly, those who are suppressed by anger should also be abandoned. The so-called being separated from vows refers to the secret vows despised by the people of the world, because they are practiced openly, so they will become separated from vows. That should also be abandoned. Greed for wealth is also the enjoyment of the heavy wealth of the Sangha and stupas, as well as the wealth of the guru, which is greed for wealth. Similarly, accumulating wealth for the enjoyment of samsara. The so-called not even hearing refers to ignorance, that is, being far away from the oral instructions of the holy path. Similarly, deceiving the holy disciples, that is, liars who aim to deceive, should also be abandoned. The mind retreats from the place of supreme bliss, power

“Not conferred” means that those who explain the tantras without empowerment should be abandoned. “All attachments to enjoyments” means that one is completely attached to the enjoyments of external samsara, in all aspects. “Reckless” means that one's mind is not calm due to drinking alcohol, which should be abandoned. “Greedy for the sake of sensual desires” means that one should also abandon greed for the sake of the pleasure of the two senses, which is the definitive statement of the Tathagata. The rule of mantra is said as follows: The teacher's virtues should be taken, Faults are never to be had. By taking virtues, accomplishments will be achieved, By speaking of faults, there is no accomplishment. Similarly, Whoever has obtained the supreme empowerment of Vajra, For the teacher is the Tathagata. All who dwell in the ten directions of the world, The Buddhas of the three times come to pay homage. Is this not what the Tathagata said? Therefore, the virtues of the teacher should be taken, which is what some who have gone astray will say, so it must be said. Here, in the future, some immature people who have gone astray will say: The teacher's virtues should be taken, Faults are never to be had. Whatever is said like that is not right. Why? Because in order to rely on a guru, the Tathagata has said to fully examine the faults and virtues of the teacher, for example: Without compassion and wrathful, Arrogant and attached to bondage, A self-praising guru, A wise disciple should not do. Therefore, even if one has made a guru, doing what should not be done is what a disciple who seeks liberation should abandon. Similarly, in the First Buddha it is said: Whoever lives in a house, Servants, farmers, merchants, etc., The ignorant who sell the true Dharma, He is not a Vajradhara on earth. And so on. Three kinds of gurus, it is said in the complete examination of the teacher: Those ten are all completely known, Among the three, the bhikshu is superior, The middle one is called shramanera, The householder is inferior to that. Similarly, A householder who has not attained the ground, The king should not be a guru, Hearing about this is completely known, Whatever is the affair of the one with signs, One who has not attained the ground
