Countless billions of umbrellas adorned with jewels and vajra handles shade and protect it. Residing in a vast expanse adorned with many wish-fulfilling trees, it shines with glory like a golden mountain. The circle of light, surpassing a thousand suns, makes the earth beautiful. Like a full moon, it is pleasing to see for all beings in the world. Like a great wish-fulfilling tree, it teaches the Dharma, causing the Buddha's teachings to fully flourish. The pure conduct is good in the beginning, good in the middle, and good in the end. The meaning is good, the words are good, unmixed, completely perfect, completely pure, completely white, and truly taught. Then, from the urna hair between the crown of the head of the Bhagavan, a great net of light called "Universally Illuminating All Buddha-fields" arose. That net of light illuminated this three-thousand-great-thousand world system with light. All those Buddha-fields, as numerous as the sands of the Ganges River, also appeared illuminated by that light. In those Buddha-fields, all the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, who reside there, are teaching the Dharma in palaces with tiered buildings adorned with many lion thrones. Together with those great Shravakas and Bodhisattva Mahasattvas. Together with monks, nuns, laymen, laywomen, gods, nagas, yakshas, gandharvas, asuras, garudas, kinnaras, and mahoragas. All of them are completely teaching the true dharani of the tiered buildings on the summit of the great Vajra Sumeru Mountain. All of them are universally illuminating. In that instant, all those sentient beings were satisfied with all happiness. The deaf heard sounds. The blind gained sight. The insane regained their memory. The sick were healed.

Then, all those beings obtained the joy of the wondrous and rare Dharma, and having been satisfied by supreme bliss, they looked around and saw the Tathagata, Arhat, Perfectly Complete Buddha. They saw that one who blazed with glory like a golden banner, who was manifestly superior by his own splendor, and they took refuge in him. As soon as they took refuge, they all realized that they had arrived in that very mandala of the Tathagata's retinue. That light illuminated, blazed, utterly blazed, completely spread and blazed throughout the entire abode of Mara, and everything appeared as a single flame. Those gods of the Mara realm also cried out in despair at that moment, and scattered in terror. The sinful Mara also became distorted in his face, his body sweating, and he said to all the sons of the gods of the Mara realm: Friends, the entire abode of Mara is blazing, utterly blazing, completely spreading and blazing, becoming a single flame. Look at that Shramana Gautama who is teaching the Dharma in the pavilion on the summit of Mount Meru. He is destroying us. We are finished! There is no place to hide in any direction. Go quickly, to that Shramana Gautama, and destroy him before this place of Mara is reduced to ashes! Having said these words, all the sons of the gods of the Mara realm said: We shall follow your command. Then they each returned to their own abodes, holding various weapons in their hands, wearing various armors, with various ornaments and jewels, transforming their teeth into a fearsome and terrifying appearance, their eyes, faces, and hair blazing and utterly blazing.
