One open Mixed with butter, and after mixing with ghee and honey, make pills. With this mother's dharani, for these three signs, namely warmth, smoke, and the appearance of light, consecrate with mantra in between. After obtaining these signs, like an umbrella, take seven pills of medicine each time and apply them to the heart. If you do this for a hundred days, you will gain unobstructed courage. In order to protect your own body, each time you raise an umbrella, recite this mother's dharani one hundred and eight times, and perform twelve mudras. The first of these is the mudra of the Bodhisattva with a thousand eyes, which gathers the body everywhere. The method is: first stand up straight, keep the body upright, put your feet together, and bend your right foot slightly. Previously, extend the left hand downwards, bend the middle finger and ring finger, and place them in the palm. Extend the little finger, index finger, and thumb upwards, open the palm and face it upwards. When the Blessed One Shakyamuni Buddha was about to attain perfect enlightenment, the King of Demons sought an opportunity, and by making this mudra of the Dharani of Samantabhadra, he attained extremely blissful samadhi and meditative absorption. The third is the liberation of the Thousand-Eyed Bodhisattva, and the mudra of samadhi and meditative absorption is as follows: Again, drape the upper garment over one shoulder, kneel with the right knee on the ground, join the palms at the crown of the head, bend the two index fingers so that the tips touch, and press the two thumbs on the second joint of the index fingers. This dharma mudra is called the mudra of liberation, meditative absorption, and samadhi. All the Tathagatas of the past also attained meditative absorption, samadhi, and liberation by practicing this dharma. The mantra is the same as before. If anyone makes this mudra like an umbrella and makes offerings, they will quickly see the Buddhas of the ten directions. The fourth is the mudra of the Thousand-Eyed Bodhisattva, which is as follows: Stand up straight, with the two feet together, first with the middle finger, ring finger, and little finger back to back, straighten the two index fingers so that the tips touch, and press the two thumbs on the second joint of the index fingers. Separate the two hands by about five colors and place them at the brow. This is called the mudra of the Thousand-Eyed Bodhisattva. If you perform this dharma gate of the mudra, you will see hundreds of thousands of billions of pure Buddha-field worlds, and in each Buddha-field, one hundred and four thousand Bodhisattvas will become companions of that yogi.
