Abiding in the manner of the earth, after fully beholding the mandala of the wheel that possesses all, Vajra Irresistible Wrathful Cholpa, whose body is adorned with a girdle of snakes, entered into the samadhi called "Making Joyful." As soon as he entered into samadhi, Wrathful Cholpa himself saw hundreds of thousands of billions of obstacles trembling and being tormented. Those obstacles, wailing from their words and abandoning their lives, thinking it was like the fire at the end of an eon, weeping with pitiful cries, went to the Bodhisattva Vajrapani, and supplicated: "Blessed One, please protect us! Bodhisattva, please protect us! Blessed One, we are tormented and intoxicated by the Blessed One's Wrathful Cholpa, and impoverished to the point of not even caring for our lives!" Then, the Bodhisattva, the great-hearted Vajrapani, arose from that samadhi and spoke to all the mandalas of demons: "How amazing! This great Wrathful One has great miraculous power! He has great strength!" They said thus: "Blessed One, it is just so! How amazing! This great Wrathful One has great miraculous power! He has great strength!" Then, the Blessed One, the Bodhisattva, the great-hearted Vajrapani, looking with the gaze of a lion, spoke to the lord of the bhutas with the secret mandala of Wrathful Cholpa: Oṃ Vajrakrodha Mahābala Hana Hana Paca Matha Vidhāna Saya Jaṭilambodara Ucchuṣma Krodha Hūṃ Phaṭ. And also from yakshas, rakshasas, pretas, flesh-eating ghosts, stiff-bodied ghosts, dakinis, forgetters, practitioners, snake-holders, etc., from all fears they will be liberated. They will be liberated from all untimely deaths. They will be liberated from all killings and bindings. They will be liberated from all cuttings. They will be liberated from all fears of fainting, stiffness, confusion, etc. They will be liberated from all fears of dragons. They will be liberated from all inauspiciousness. Any poor sentient being, if at any time, upholds, or recites, or remembers, or recollects this Dharma category, then they will be liberated from all the sufferings of poverty.
