. The term "inner" is a term of truth. The term "outer" refers to giving food to those who desire food, drink to those who desire drink, and likewise to male servants, female servants, laborers, those who live on leftovers, elephants, horses, chariots, land, heads, hands, feet, eyes, flesh, blood, shanks, fat, and bones. Moreover, it is taken entirely by the perfection of means, without expecting the maturation of the complete dedication, being abundant and vast, making it one's own reliance, giving all kinds to all sentient beings, this is the outer. The inner is the giving of Dharma. It is also of two kinds: truly engaging in dependent origination, and the speech of giving, the speech of ethics, the speech of patience, diligence, meditation, wisdom, means, power, aspiration, and the speech of wisdom, being completely taken by compassion, the perfection of means is truly assembled. Furthermore, the inner giving is that which completely abandons the grasping of extremes, the arising and ceasing that are completely conceptualized, discrimination, knowledge, and objects of knowledge, being completely taken by joy, the perfection of power is truly assembled, this is the giving of Dharma. Moreover, in this very body, speech, and mind, there is no agitation, no arrogance, the body is not distracted, the speech is not distracted, the mind is not distracted, being completely taken by the perfection of wisdom, abiding solely without affliction, being completely taken by equanimity, the perfection of means is truly assembled, this is the perfection of ethics. Furthermore, in this very thing, without regard for one's own body and life, abandoning merit and non-merit, Dharma and non-Dharma, truth and non-truth, moving and non-moving things, being completely taken by loving-kindness, the perfection of wisdom is truly assembled, this is the perfection of patience here. What is giving, ethics, patience, and the mind rejoicing in order to attain samadhi,
