A protection cord should be tied for all diseases. For all diseases, ghee, black ghee, or water can be recited and given. For diseases that spread throughout the body, cut with a weapon and also apply a protection cord. For stomach pain, it can be alleviated with salt water, clay, or water. For eye diseases, a white thread should be tied to the ear. For tooth diseases, brush teeth with a toothbrush made of Karavira wood. To create a boundary, recite over a five-colored thread twenty-one times, then tie it to four Seng-ldeng (Acacia catechu) pegs and plant them in the four directions, thus creating a boundary. In all cases, use a protection cord, water, or ashes. For all planets, use a five-colored thread. For all epidemics, use a white thread. For snakes, insects, caterpillars, woodlice, swelling, and throat obstruction, use a mixture of honey and long pepper. For eye diseases, use fragrant water, turmeric water, honey, or licorice. During all disputes, for arguments and unpleasant speech, recite over water and wash the face. To counter the harm from a foreign king, place a full vase properly around the country, then a clean person should wear clean clothes, make great offerings, and recite, which will bring great peace. Also, sprinkle with that water, thus protecting all beings. All nearby harms and epidemics will be pacified. The drop of the Chandana hand seal, recited twenty-one times, will exhaust all the uninterrupted karmas. If recited regularly, it will protect the household. The lotus homa is the protection of all sentient beings. The Chandana homa protects from all planets, spirits, and constellations. Victorious one, completely victorious one, invincible one, Naguli, fragrant Naguli, Dharani, fearless hand, powerful hand, fragrant Priyangu, Takara, wheel, great wheel, complete suppressor, Somaraji, and that which is called Sunatta, whichever of these, recite one hundred and eight times, make it like a jewel, and tie it to the head and shoulders. If one holds the non-existent in their bosom, they will become supremely fortunate. Lack of fortune will diminish, and it will also grant a son. By holding this jewel, one will be protected in all ways. Poison and fire cannot penetrate it. Harm caused by poison will not be reborn. Diseases will not arise, and they will quickly subside. The planets will be completely pacified. Wind, clouds, and hail will be frozen by water. With a Karavira twig, all tasks can be accomplished. Even without accomplishment, these tasks can be accomplished by this supremely accomplished essence of the noble Avalokiteśvara. If one wishes to accomplish it, the ritual for the Thangka is to paint an image of the Buddha with all colors of paint, making it identical to the Buddha's form. The noble Avalokiteśvara, wearing a crown of matted hair, with the lower body covered with deer skin, possessing the attire of a herdsman, and adorned with all ornaments. The artist should draw the picture with the virtue of fasting. Then, the practitioner should make a mandala in front of the image with cow dung and spread white flowers. Place eight vases filled with fragrant water. Prepare eight items for near use and sixty-four items for near need, as well as bloodless torma and meat. Burn agarwood incense and recite eight thousand vidyas. Alternatively, fast for one day and one night, or eat three white foods, and after bathing in three periods and wearing clean clothes, recite. Then, look at the image of yourself painted in front of the image, and seeing it will bring joy. Until the noble Avalokiteśvara arrives, all wishes will be completely fulfilled. By reciting over calamus or eye medicine and applying it to the eyes, one will become invisible and will be able to walk in the sky. One will also attain the samadhi called "Assembly of True Non-Confusion." Whatever the practitioner desires, he will do it with this. Thus spoke the Bhagavan. And the Bodhisattva Mahasattva noble Avalokiteśvara, and those monks, and those bodhisattvas, and those sons of the pure abode gods, and gods and humans.
