The noble men, together with their sons, together with their ministers, together with their retinues, together with their messengers, together with their envoys, together with their servants and attendants, those of noble hue, arrived at midnight and agreed to go to the great charnel ground of the Cool Grove. With the light of their own nature and power, they illuminated the area with great light, and went to where the Blessed One was, and having arrived, they bowed their heads to the two feet of the Blessed One, circumambulated him three times, joined their palms, and bowed only to the Blessed One, and sat down on one side. Having sat down on one side, the Four Great Kings praised the Blessed One with verses: Worldly wise, perfect Buddha, To you, great hero, I prostrate. Whatever you know, Gautama, The gods do not know. Having said this, the Blessed One said to the Four Great Kings: O Great Kings, I have everything. The land is at peace, life is prosperous, the body is well, and there is no ill.
