May the precious jewel of enlightenment virtues be perfectly fulfilled! Through the power of confession in the Noble Golden Light Sutra, may my merit be fully manifest! May my enlightenment light be completely pure, and may the supreme light of stainless wisdom illuminate my body! In order to make the light of merit even more abundant, may I become especially supreme in the three realms! May I always possess the power of merit! May I be liberated from the ocean of suffering, and through the ocean of all happiness, may I practice enlightenment in future kalpas. In the three realms, however many Buddhas have passed away in the past and future, whatever the immeasurable and extraordinary qualities of all the Victorious Ones in those fields, may my field become like that in the future! From the Noble Golden Light Sutra, the chapter on the Lotus Birth, which praises all the Tathagatas who have appeared in the past, future, and present, is the fifth chapter. Then, the Bhagavan spoke these verses at that time: In other, inconceivable sutras, the teachings of emptiness are extensively explained. Therefore, in this supreme and noble sutra, the teachings of emptiness are explained only briefly. Because sentient beings have small minds and cannot fully understand all phenomena, therefore, in this supreme and noble sutra, the teachings of emptiness are explained only briefly. In order that all sentient beings may understand, and for the sake of benefiting sentient beings, through the power of compassion, with skillful means, methods, and other causes, this supreme root sutra is taught. This body is like an empty village, the senses are like armies and thieves. They all dwell in one village, but they do not know each other. The eye sense runs after forms, the ear sense indulges in sounds, the nose sense steals various smells, the tongue sense always runs after tastes, the body sense runs after tactile sensations, and the mind sense indulges in phenomena. These six senses each operate in their own domain. The mind is as fickle as an illusion, and the six senses operate in their respective domains, just as

Like a person running to an empty village, Like dwelling with armies and thieves. As the mind abides in the six realms, It also fully knows the objects of the senses. Thus, the mind abides in the six realms, And also fully knows the objects of the senses. Form, sound, and likewise smells, Taste, touch, and likewise objects of the senses, Dharma. The mind, in all six senses, Moves like a bird perched on a branch. In whichever sense and wherever it abides, That sense becomes the nature of awareness. The body is without movement and without action, Without essence, it arises from conditions. Not truly, it arises from complete conceptualization, It exists like an illusion wheel of karma in an empty village. The elements of earth, fire, water, and wind, Dwell separately, in different directions and places. Like a venomous snake dwelling in one place, They are not always in harmony with each other. The four elemental snakes also, Two go upwards, two go downwards. In the directions and intermediate points, two by two, Those elemental snakes will all perish. The earth snake and the water snake, These two will be exhausted and destroyed below. The fire snake and the wind snake, These two go upwards into the sky. As by the karmas previously done, The mind and consciousness dwell and enter into. Gods, humans, and the three lower realms, Thus, according to the karma done, they are born into existence. If phlegm, wind, and bile are exhausted, The body is filled with urine and vomit. Extremely unpleasant, it becomes a heap of worms, Scattered in the charnel grounds like wood. O goddess, look at these dharmas, In this sentient being, likewise, the individual, All these dharmas are empty, They arise from the condition of ignorance. These great elements are not great arising, They arise from the unborn and do not arise, Why is it that the arising does not arise? Therefore, I say that arising is great. It is not existent, nor has it ever existed, It arises from the condition of ignorance. This ignorance is not existent, Therefore, I will explain this ignorance. Volitional formations, consciousness, name and form, and The sense bases

Touch and feeling and sensation, craving and grasping and likewise existence, birth and old age, death, sorrow, harm, etc., the suffering of samsara is inconceivable. How does the wheel of samsara exist? From the unarisen to the arisen and the unarisen, and by improper attention, analyze with the mind, cut off what has become the view of self. With the sword of wisdom, liberate the demoness of afflictions, look at the place of the aggregates becoming emptiness. Touch the vast qualities of enlightenment, I have opened the gate of the city of nectar, and also fully shown the vessel of nectar juice. I enter the realm of the city of nectar, I satisfy myself with the juice of nectar. I have struck the sacred great drum of Dharma, I have also blown the supreme conch of Dharma, I have lit the supreme lamp of Dharma, I have rained down the sacred rain of Dharma. I have conquered all the supreme enemies of afflictions, I have raised the sacred banner of Dharma, I have liberated beings from the ocean of existence. I have blocked the paths of the three lower realms, beings burned by the fire of afflictions, becoming helpless and without refuge, after pacifying the suffering of beings burned by the fire of afflictions, I have satisfied them with the cool juice of nectar. Because in the past, for countless eons, I have offered to countless guides, in order to fully seek the Dharmakaya, I practiced for enlightenment with steadfast asceticism, hands and eyes and feet, supreme limbs and beloved sons and daughters, wealth, treasures, mani jewels, pearl ornaments and gold, as well as beryl and various jewels were given away. All the trees in the three thousand worlds and, all the grass and grasses, forests and lands, all that is born is cut off and severed, all of them are ground into powder, becoming extremely fine dust. In the boundless expanse of the sky, a mountain of powder piled up, it is possible to divide it into three parts. All the dust on the earth, all of the three thousand worlds, the inconceivable realm of dust, whatever is the consciousness of all beings, that becomes one being, if that consciousness counts the powder of dust, then those who are superior to all beings, people with supreme wisdom, are able to count everything.
