And so forth, all roots of non-virtue will also arise, and even if life is exhausted, it can be extended, and all auspiciousness and perfect goodness will be accomplished. After saying this, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva, who completely eliminates all obscurations, requested the Bhagavan: "Bhagavan, Bhagavan, please protect the lives of all sentient beings, and in order to eliminate all karmic obscurations, Bhagavan, please bestow the tantric ritual of this complete retinue." After making this request, the Bhagavan agreed. A great light of rays arose from the crown of the Bhagavan's head, illuminating all the realms of the three thousand great thousand worlds, and also making all the Tathagatas aware. Those rays then gathered again and dissolved into the crown of the Bhagavan's head. At that time, reciting the secret mantra and writing the letters should also be done after bathing, wearing clean clothes, anointing the body with incense, and eating clean food, and offering flowers and incense. Also offer the seven precious substances as offerings, or offer whatever you can according to your ability, so that the mind is satisfied. Respect the Dharma.

For the sake of increase, the mandala and the painting should be enlarged. Also, the letters of the secret mantra should be regarded as rare and precious, and seventy-seven stupas of whatever size one can afford should be erected. The secret mantra should be placed inside each of them. If one makes great offerings with one-pointed mind, life will be prolonged instead of being exhausted. The obscurations of past karma, all the sins of countless lifetimes, will be purified, and one will never again be born in the realms of hell, animals, and hungry ghosts. In whatever place one is born, one will remember one's previous lives. All that one thinks in one's mind will be accomplished in the same way. One will generate roots of virtue for seventy-seven hundred thousand million tathagatas. One will be liberated from all sickness and suffering. If someone is afflicted with a serious illness and is about to die, a square mandala should be made, and a painting should be drawn on it with five colors. In the central part, a wheel, a vajra, a conch shell, a trident, a swastika, and lotuses should be drawn. Also, a lotus should be drawn in each of the four corners, and a vase filled with scented water should be placed on top of each of them. A container filled with various incenses, emitting fragrance, should also be placed. In containers of five colors, various foods, three white foods, and food mixed with rice should be placed. Also, containers of scented water, flowers, rice, or grain should be poured, each container filled. Also, a torma made of various mixed foods should be mixed with a vase full of scented water and placed on the mandala. Near the torma and the rice, a figure of the Lord of Assemblies should be drawn, and a butter lamp should be placed on top of its head. Then the sick person should be placed on the west side of the mandala, facing the inside of the mandala, and offerings should be placed in front of the sick person for him to consume. Then, the mantra practitioner should perform a thorough cleansing and bless the sick person with seventy-seven secret mantras. If this ritual is performed in this way, even if the sick person's life is about to end and he is about to die, and after seven days he will lose his memory and become confused, his life will be prolonged and he will become long-lived.
