Then one should begin what needs to be done. By uttering this, everything will be accomplished. This will eliminate all the sins of beings. It will exhaust all those sins, And completely liberate from all suffering. The Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, Will give prophecies, without doubt. Whoever previously committed, Many sinful deeds will be destroyed. Those who hold the supreme vidyā, They will quickly attain Buddhahood. For the supreme wheel of Dharma, Enlightenment is easy to realize, Like the sands of the Ganges, Immeasurable merit will be obtained. This is the chapter on expanding the vidyā mantra, the second ritual. Then the ritual of the mandala will be explained. First, the land should be thoroughly examined, and then the work should begin from the outside. A four-doored mandala should be drawn with powders of five colors poured into a clean vessel of fragrance. Then the center of the mandala should be anointed with sandalwood and offered with saffron. The measurement of the central mandala is two cubits. The outer mandala is square, possessing the nature of corners (or edges). In the center of the mandala's heart, there is an immeasurable palace made of seven precious jewels, and a splendidly gathered lotus seat of the Buddha.
