Do not rely on alcohol. Furthermore, listen as I explain the conduct of students and the truth of actions. Do not respect those who are angry and argumentative. Do not hide from the young, Nor from genuine monks, And those bound by attachment and craving, Do not speak of priceless jewels. Do not speak to them. To those who are without arrogance, Without deceit, not clinging to self, And who have steadfast faith in the Dharma, Mantra instructions should be given. Otherwise, one will fall. The secrets of the guru, The union with the yogini, The conduct of divine vows, The secret unions such as with tormas, And whatever is done in curses, With all fears, One will swiftly fall into the Avici hell. The guru's mattress, The deity, umbrella, and robes, etc., All close enjoyments, Do not step on the shadow, Nor argue. If done, at all times, One will be tormented, Far from wealth and glory. One will be tormented by demons and hatred, Equal to the sin of destroying a stupa, Therefore, do not even step on the shadow. Whoever slanders the guru, Will not have accomplishments even in dreams. Take the guru's qualities, Never take the faults. The union of mantra and mudra, etc., Will be accomplished through his path. The order of mandala rituals, etc., Should be taught beforehand. Things are without inherent existence, Seeing is the order of enlightenment, The dharmas of pure nature, Are truly seen in non-inherent existence. The actions of the body are threefold, Speech has four aspects, Mind has three aspects, Thus divided into ten. From white, it becomes white, Black similarly produces black fruit. Therefore, these should be avoided, Harsh words to sentient beings, And meaningless chatter should be avoided. With a compassionate heart, Avoid harm and injury. I would rather die, Than kill living beings. Because it is like a blazing fire, Do not touch the property of others. The yogi should guard against lies, And carry out all the guru's commands. The yogi of yogis, And all who speak falsely, Will harm all sentient beings.

Enjoying the Lord of Joy, and at times such as with tormas, keeping vows should also be done with moderation in eating and drinking, etc. Those who desire yoga siddhi, siddhi arises from pleasing sentient beings. To that end, first, the student should drape the upper garment over one shoulder, place the right knee on the ground, join the palms of both hands, and say these words: I always take refuge in the Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha. Yogic secrets, such as dakinis, all three vehicles, heroes, heroines, and powerful goddesses, great self-existing mothers, and especially the teacher, I always take refuge. Then, the true words should be spoken, the supreme vows of discipline. First, the guru's vows, obtaining cause and effect arise. The teachings and likewise the certain teachings should be shown. It is the nature of body, speech, and mind, the teachings are enjoyment, the certain teachings extinguish suffering. Eating excrement and urine, etc., lineage and non-lineage, likewise others, with the secret instructions of mantras, empower names, etc., according to the ritual. The student, having meditated on the object, should show the extinguishing of suffering. You should kill living beings, and also speak falsely, you should take what is not given, you should attend to other women, you should not do it from the stupa, and you should not read the scriptures either. You should not bind hand gestures, and you should not recite the letters of mantras. The scriptures are easy to obtain.
