སོད་ཅིང་པགས་པ་བཤུ་བ་དག་མཐོང་ནས་འདི་དག་ཅི་བྱེད་ཅེས་དྲིས་སོ། །སྨྲས་པ་འདི་དག་ནི་གསོད་པའི་ལས་བྱེད་དེ། ཤ་འཚོང་ཞིང་བགོ་བ་དང་བཟའ་བའི་སྤོགས་བྱེད་དོ། །དེས་སྲོག་འཚོ་བར་བྱེད་དོ། །རྒྱལ་བུས་དེ་སྐད་ཅེས་ཐོས་ནས། བ་སྤུ་དང་ལུས་ཀྱི་ཤ་ཀུན་འགུལ་ཏེ། ཀྱི་ཧུད་ཀྱི་ཧུད་གསོད་པ་ལ་སྙིང་མི་བཟོད་དོ། །གཅིག་གིས་གཅིག་གི་ཉིང་ཤ་ཉིང་ཟ་ཞིང་བསྐལ་པ་བགྲངས་པའི་བར་དུ་གཅིག་ལ་གཅིག་གསོད་པའི་ལས་བྱེད་དོ། །དེ་ནས་ཡང་སོང་སོང་བ་ལས་མི་ མཆིས་པོ་དག་ཅིག་ཉ་རྒྱ་དང་བྱ་རྒྱ་ཐོགས་ཤིང་བྱ་དང་། ཉ་གསོད་དེ། གཅིག་ལ་གཅིག་ཉིད་ཤ་ཟ་བར་མཐོང་ངོ་། །དེ་ནས་འདི་ཅི་བྱེད་ཅེས་དྲིས་སོ། །གསོལ་པ། འདི་དག་ནི་བྱ་དང་ཉ་ཤོར་བ་ཡིན་ཏེ། གསོད་པའི་ལས་འདི་ལྟ་བུ་བྱེད་ཅིང་བགོ་བ་དང་ཟས་ཚོལ་ལོ། །རྒྱལ་བུ་དགེ་དོན་གྱིས་དེ་སྐད་ཅེས་སྨྲས་པའི་ཚིག་དེ་ཐོས་ནས་མིག་མཆི་མས་གང་སྟེ། འཇིག་རྟེན་གྱི་སེམས་ཅན་འདི་དག་ནི་སྡིག་པ་མི་དགེ་བར་འགྱུར་བའི་ལས་བྱེད་དེ། སྡུག་བསྔལ་ལས་ནམ་དུ་ཡང་མི་ཐར་རོ་སྙམ་ནས་མི་དགའ་ཞིང་མྱ་ངན་གྱིས་ནོན་ཏེ་ཕྱིར་ཕོ་བྲང་དུ་འོངས་སོ། །ཡབ་རྒྱལ་པོས་རྒྱལ་བུ་མི་དགའ་ཞིང་མྱ་ངན་བྱེད་པའི་ཚུལ་གྱིས་ཕྱིར་འོངས་པ་མཐོང་ནས་རྒྱལ་བུ་ལ་ཅི་ཞིག་གིས་མི་དགའ་ཞེས་དྲིས་པ་དང་། རྒྱལ་བུས་ཀྱང་ཇི་ལྟར་མཐོང་བའི་དངོས་པོ་དེ་དག་ཡབ་རྒྱལ་པོ་ལ་ཞིབ་ཏུ་གསོལ་ཏོ། །རྒྱལ་པོས་རྒྱལ་བུ་ལ་སྨྲས་པ། འདི་ལྟ་བུའི་དངོས་པོ་ནི་ཡོངས་ཀྱི་ཡོད་ཅིང་སྲིད་པ་ཡིན་ན་མྱ་ངན་བྱར་ཡང་ཅི་ཞིག་ཡོད། རྒྱལ་བུས་གསོལ་པ། བདག་རྒྱལ་པོ་ལ་འདོད་པ་གཅིག་ཅིག་གསོལ་ན་རྒྱལ་པོས་གནང་ངམ། རྒྱལ་པོས་སྨྲས་པ། ང་ལ་བུ་ཁྱོད་གཅིག་པུར་ཟད་དེ་བྱམས་ཤིང་སྡུག་པས་ཁྱོད་ཀྱི་ཡིད་དང་འགལ་བར་མི་བྱེད་དོ། །རྒྱལ་བུས་གསོལ་པ། བདག་ནི་ཡབ་རྒྱལ་པོའི་བང་མཛོད་ན་ནོར་དང་། རིན་པོ་ཆེ་དང་། བཟའ་བ་དང་། བཏུང་བ་ཅི་མངའ་བ་ཐམས་ཅད་སེམས་ཅན་ཐམས་ཅད་ལ་སྦྱིན་པར་བགྱིའོ་ཞེས་གསོལ་པ་དང་། རྒྱལ་པོས་ཀྱང་ཁྱོད་ཀྱི་ཡིད་དང་འགལ་བར་མི་བྱེད་ཀྱིས་ཅི་དགའ་མགུར་སྦྱིན་པ་གྱིས་ཤིག་ཅེས་བཀའ་སྩལ་ཏོ། །དེ་ནས་རྒྱལ་བུ་དགེ་དོན་གྱིས་བློན་པོ་བཀུག་ནས་རྒྱལ་པོའི་བང་མཛོད་ཕྱེ་ནས་བལ་གྱི་གླང་པོ་ཆེ་ལྔ་བརྒྱ་ལ་ནོར་དང་རིན་པོ་ཆེ་བཀལ་ཏེ་གྲོང་ཁྱེར་གྱི་སྒོ་བཞིར་སྤུངས་ནས་འགྲོ་བ་མང་པོ་དག་བགོ་བ་འདོད་དམ། བཟའ་བ་དང་བཏུང་བ་འདོད་དམ། ཅི་འདོད་པ་ཡིད་བཞིན་དུ་ལོང་ལ་ཁྱེར་ཅིག་ཅེས་ཕྱོགས་བཞིར་བསྒྲགས་སོ། །དེ་ལྟར་རྒྱལ་བུ་དགེ་དོན་གྱི་སྙན་པ་ཕྱོགས་སུ་བསྒྲགས་པས་ཐམས་ཅད་འདུས་ནས་ཅི་འདོད་པ་ཡིད་བཞིན་དུ་ཁྱེར་རོ། །རིང་པོ་མ་ལོན་པར་རྒྱལ་ པོའི་བང་མཛོད་སུམ་ཆ་ཞིག་ཟད་ནས། བློན་པོ་རྣམས་ཀྱིས་རྒྱལ་པོ་ལ་དཀོར་མཛོད་སུམ་ཆ་གཅིག་བས་ཏེ། རྒྱལ་བུས་མ་མཆིས་པར་བགྱིས་ཀྱིས་རྒྱལ་པོ་དགོངས་ཤིག་ཅེས་གསོལ་པ་དང་། རྒྱལ་པོས་ང་ནི་རྒྱལ་བུའི་ཡིད་དང་འགལ་བར་བྱེད་མི་ནུས་སོ་ཞེས་བཀའ་སྩལ་ཏོ། །ད་ནི་རྒྱལ་པོའི་བང་མཛོད་སུམ་ཆ་གཉིས་བས་ཀྱི་རྒྱལ་པོ་དགོངས་ཤིག་བཀའ་སྩལ་པ། ང་ནི་རྒྱལ་བུའི་ཡིད་དང་འགལ་བར་བྱེད་མི་ནུས་སོ། །ཁྱོད་ཀྱིས་ཐབས་ཅི་ལེགས་སུ་ཅུང་ཟད་བཀག་སྟེ་ཡིད་དང་མི་འགལ་བར་གྱིས་ཤིག་པར་བཀའ་སྩལ་ཏོ། །དེ་ནས་ཡང་རྒྱལ་བུ་དགེ་དོན་བང་མཛོད་འབྱེད་དུ་སོང་བ་ལས། བང་མཛོད་ལ་དབང་བའི་བློན་པོ་དོན་གཉེར་དུ་སོང་ནས་རིང་ཞིག་མ་ཁུགས་ཏེ་འཕྱིས་པར་གྱུར་པས་རྒྱལ་བུ་དགེ་དོན་འདི་སྐད་དུ། བང་མཛོད་བསྲུང་བའི་བློན་པོ་ཆུང་ངུ་ན་བདག་གི་ཡིད་དང་འགལ་བར་བྱེད་པའི་ཐུགས་མི་ཐུབ་སྟེ། འདི་ནི་རྒྱལ་པོ་ཡབ་ཀྱི་བཀའ་ཡིན་དུ་ངེས་པས་བུ་སྲི་ཞུ་ཅན་ཞེས་བྱ་བ་ཕའི་བང་མཛོད་སྟོངས་པར་བྱ་བར་མི་རིགས་ཀྱིས་ད་བདག་ཉིད་ཀྱིས་ནོར་དང་རིན་པོ་ཆེ་བཙལ་ལ་སེམས་ཅན་ཐམས་ཅད་ཚིམ་པར་བྱའོ། །གལ་ཏེ་བདག་གིས་སེམས་ཅན་ཐམས་ཅད་ལ་བགོ་བ་དང་། བཟའ་བ་དང་། བཏུང་བ་ཡིད་བཞིན་དུ་ཆོག་པར་སྦྱིན་མི་ནུས་ན་རྒྱལ་པོ་ཆེན་པོའི་སྲས་སུ་ཇི་སྐད་གདགས་ཞེས་སྨྲས་ནས་བློན་པོ་ཆེན་པོ་དང་། བློན་པོ་ཕྲ་མོ་ཡན་ཆད་བསྡུས་ཏེ། ནོར་དང་། ཁེ་སྤོགས་ཚོལ་བ་དག་ཅིའི་སྒོ་ནས་བསྒྲུབས་ན་མཆོག་ཏུ་འགྱུར་ཞེས་བགྲོས་སོ། །དེ་ལ་བློན་པོ་ཆེན་པོ་གཅིག་གིས་སྨྲས་པ། དེ་ལྟར་སྤོགས་ཤིག་བྱ་ན་ཞིང་རྨོ་བ་ལས་འདའ་བ་མེད་དེ་གཅིག་ལ་ཁྲིར་འགྱུར་རོ། །ཡང་བློན་པོ་ཆེན་པོ་གཅིག་གིས་སྨྲས་པ། འཇིག་རྟེན་ན་ཁེ་སྤོགས་བྱ་བའི་ནང་ན་རྐང་འགྲོས་ལས་ཁྱུ་བཙུགས་ལ་འབྲོག་བཟང་པོར་བཞག་ན་མང་དུ་འཕེལ་ཏེ་སྤོགས་དེ་ལས་ཆེ་བ་མེད་དོ། །ཡང་བློན་པོ་གཅིག་གིས་སྨྲས་པ། འཇིག་རྟེན་ན་ཁེ་སྤོགས་ཤིག་བྱ་ན་རྒྱ་མཚོར་ཞུགས་ལ་ནོར་བུ་རིན་པོ་ཆེ་བཙལ་བ་ལས་འདའ་བ་མེད་དོ། ། གལ་ཏེ་ཡིད་བཞིན་གྱི་ནོར་བུ་རིན་པོ་ཆེ་རྙེད་ན་ཡིད་བཞིན་དུ་སེམས་ཅན་ཐམས་ཅད་ལ་ཚིམ་པར་སྦྱིན་པར་འགྱུར་རོ། །དགེ་དོན་གྱིས་སྨྲས་པ། འདི་ནི་བདག་གི་ཡིད་ལ་བབ་སྟེ་རུང་ངོ་ཞེས་ཕོ་བྲང་དུ་སོང་སྟེ།

看到那些宰杀剥皮的人，（王子）问道：“这些人做什么？”（他们）回答说：“这些人做宰杀的活计，卖肉、分肉，做食物的储备。他们以此为生。”王子听到这话，汗毛和身上的肉都竖了起来。“哎呀！哎呀！宰杀太让人无法忍受了！一个吃一个的肉，互相残杀，直到无数劫！”然后又往前走，看到一些人拿着渔网和鸟网，杀鸟和鱼，互相吃肉。然后（王子）问道：“这些人做什么？”（他们）回答说：“这些人捕鸟和鱼，做这种宰杀的活计，分肉和寻找食物。”王子善财听到这些话，眼泪盈眶，心想：“这些世间的众生，做着变成罪恶不善的行径，永远无法从痛苦中解脱。”于是闷闷不乐，被忧愁压抑，回到了王宫。父王看到王子闷闷不乐，忧愁满面地回来，便问王子：“什么事让你不高兴？”王子也把所见所闻详细地告诉了父王。国王对王子说：“这种事情到处都有，既然是存在的事实，又有什么可忧愁的呢？”王子说道：“我有一个愿望想向父王您请求，国王您能答应吗？”国王说：“我只有你这一个儿子，疼爱还来不及，怎么会违背你的意愿呢？”王子说道：“我想把父王您宝库里的财物、珍宝、食物和饮料，全部布施给一切众生。”国王也说：“我不会违背你的意愿，随你高兴地布施吧。”于是王子善财召集大臣，打开国王的宝库，用五百头毛驴驮上财物和珍宝，堆放在城市的四个门口，（并宣告）：“众多百姓们，想要分肉吗？想要食物和饮料吗？想要什么就随意拿去吧！”

Seeing those who were slaughtering and skinning animals, (the prince) asked, "What are these people doing?" (They) replied, "These people are doing the work of slaughtering, selling meat, dividing meat, and making food provisions. They make a living by this." When the prince heard this, the hair on his body stood on end. "Alas! Alas! Slaughtering is unbearable! One eats the flesh of another, killing each other for countless eons!" Then, going further, he saw some people holding fishing nets and bird nets, killing birds and fish, eating each other's flesh. Then (the prince) asked, "What are these people doing?" (They) replied, "These people catch birds and fish, doing this kind of slaughtering work, dividing meat and seeking food." When Prince Sudhana heard these words, his eyes filled with tears, and he thought, "These sentient beings of the world are doing deeds that turn into evil and unwholesome actions, and they will never be liberated from suffering." So he was unhappy and oppressed by sorrow, and returned to the palace. The father king saw the prince returning unhappy and sorrowful, and asked the prince, "What makes you unhappy?" The prince also told the father king in detail about what he had seen and heard. The king said to the prince, "Such things are everywhere, and since it is an existing fact, what is there to be sad about?" The prince said, "I have a wish to ask of you, my king, will you grant it?" The king said, "I only have you as my son, and I love you dearly, so I will not go against your wishes." The prince said, "I want to give away all the wealth, jewels, food, and drink in your treasury to all sentient beings." The king also said, "I will not go against your wishes, give as you please." Then Prince Sudhana summoned the ministers, opened the king's treasury, loaded five hundred yaks with wealth and jewels, piled them at the four gates of the city, and (announced): "Many people, do you want to divide meat? Do you want food and drink? Take whatever you want as you wish!"

便向四方宣告。如此一来，由于善财王子的美名远扬，所有人都聚集起来，如愿以偿地拿走自己想要的东西。没过多久，国王的宝库就用去了三分之一。大臣们禀告国王说：“国库已经用去了三分之一，王子殿下毫无节制，请国王明鉴！”国王说：“我不能违背王子的意愿。”大臣们又禀告说：“现在国库已经用去了三分之二，请国王明鉴！”国王说：“我不能违背王子的意愿。你们想个好办法，稍微限制一下，但又不能违背他的意愿。”于是，善财王子又去开启宝库，掌管宝库的大臣因为有事外出了，很久没有回来，耽搁了时间。善财王子这样说道：“守护宝库的小臣都不能忍受违背我的意愿，这一定是父王的旨意。作为孝顺的儿子，不应该让父亲的宝库空虚。现在我应该自己去寻找财宝和珍宝，让所有众生都感到满足。如果我不能让所有众生都得到分配、食物和饮料，如他们所愿地充分施舍，又怎能被称为伟大的国王之子呢？”说完，他召集了所有大臣，包括大大小小的官员，商议说：“寻找财富和利润，用什么方法才能最好地实现呢？”其中一位大臣说：“如果要做生意，没有比耕田更好的了，一份投入可以变成一千份收益。”另一位大臣说：“世间一切生意中，没有比放牧更好的了，建立畜群，放在好的牧场上，就能大量繁殖，没有比这更大的利润了。”又有一位大臣说：“世间一切生意中，没有比下海寻找珍宝更好的了。如果能找到如意宝珠，就能如愿以偿地让所有众生都得到满足。”善财说：“这个主意我很喜欢，可以。”说完，便回到了王宫。

Then it was proclaimed in all four directions. Thus, as Prince Geden's fame spread, everyone gathered and took whatever they desired to their heart's content. Before long, one-third of the king's treasury was depleted. The ministers reported to the king, "One-third of the treasury has been used up, and the prince is acting without restraint. Please, Your Majesty, consider this!" The king said, "I cannot go against the prince's wishes." The ministers then reported, "Now two-thirds of the king's treasury have been used up. Please, Your Majesty, consider this!" The king said, "I cannot go against the prince's wishes. Find a good way to restrain him slightly without going against his wishes." Then, Prince Geden went again to open the treasury. The minister in charge of the treasury had gone out on business and was delayed for a long time. Prince Geden said, "Even the small minister guarding the treasury cannot bear to go against my wishes. This must be my father's decree. As a filial son, I should not allow my father's treasury to be emptied. Now I should seek wealth and jewels myself and satisfy all beings. If I cannot provide all beings with distribution, food, and drink, and give them enough as they wish, how can I be called the son of a great king?" Having said this, he gathered all the ministers, including the great and small officials, and discussed, "What is the best way to seek wealth and profit?" One of the great ministers said, "If one wants to do business, there is nothing better than plowing the fields, for one investment can become a thousand." Another great minister said, "Among all businesses in the world, there is nothing better than herding. Establishing herds and placing them on good pastures will allow them to multiply greatly, and there is no greater profit than that." Yet another minister said, "Among all businesses in the world, there is nothing better than going to sea to seek jewels. If one can find a wish-fulfilling jewel, one can satisfy all beings as they wish." Geden said, "This idea pleases me, it is good." Having said this, he returned to the palace.
