Because they have already enjoyed it, they do not know kindness and do not remember kindness. The retinue of the Shramana Gautama has no distinction between good and bad, and the five hundred disciples each say, "I am the most excellent." Because the abbot has no precepts, the disciples have no precepts or conduct. Even the lowly bhikshu who spreads the mat at a young age says, "I am the most excellent of all." Shariputra, who is upright in mind, vast in wisdom, and sharp in intellect, is also there. The foolish and dull bhikshu Panthika, who has no knowledge, also joins there. The bhikshuni Gunamati, who has little desire at a young age, also joins there. When in Shravasti, the evil woman who sells snakes, Utpalavarna, also joins there. The young and immensely strong, ignorant Pusa Tsun-da also joins there. The internally decrepit one named Subhadra, who is one hundred and twenty years old, also joins there. The Shakya clan, who are of noble lineage, also join there. When in Shravasti, the one of low internal lineage who raises the broom handle also joins there. Therefore, the Dharma of the Shramana Gautama is a motley crowd, without distinction between good and bad. It is not a place worthy of offering or respect. For example, when a great wind rises, all the leaves or petals scatter together, so too is the Buddha's Dharma. For example, just as many birds gather on food or sugar cubes discarded by people, so too is the retinue of the Shramana Gautama, taking and eating whatever they get. Therefore, why do you all intend to make offerings to the Shramana Gautama? At that time, although many people heard these words, just as the great earth cannot be moved, so too their minds, which were merely slightly inclined and reverent towards the Tathagata, did not waver. Among the many retinues, the words spoken by the six heretical teachers did not cause their minds to waver, but remained as firm as a vajra. Without increase or decrease, they thirsted for the Tathagata as if parched, and after seven days had passed with faith, the Tathagata also returned from the Heaven of the Thirty-Three to Jambudvipa, surrounded by countless hundreds of thousands of divine retinues, and the rays of light of the Tathagata illuminated and brightened everything, and the music of the gods sounded.

From countless offerings, all beings, including gods, nagas, yakshas, gandharvas, asuras, garudas, kinnaras, mahoragas, humans, and non-humans, gathered, prostrated, and made offerings. At that time, King Udayana, along with his retinue, welcomed the Tathagata from afar, bowed his head to the Tathagata's feet, and sat to one side. Then, the six heretical teachers also gathered together and thought, 'This thing called "བྱུར" of ours has come here. Even if we proclaim it among the people, it will not help their faith. Now, if we proclaim it among the assembly of gods and humans, we fear that we will not be able to distinguish the difference.' At that time, the six heretical teachers, thinking in this way, led hundreds of thousands of retinues and came to the place where many retinues had gathered, and sat to one side. At that time, the son of a gandharva, named Dharma Mala, holding a lute made of seven precious jewels, came to where the Tathagata was, bowed his head to the feet, and sat to one side. Sitting to one side, he played music accompanied by songs, and the extremely pleasant sound of the music satisfied the minds of all the retinues. The Shravaka Shariputra and others, without realizing it, moved their bodies, swayed, and began to dance. Mount Sumeru also shook and swayed. At that time, the Tathagata entered the samadhi called "Having Marks," and by the power of that samadhi, the sound of the lute resounded throughout the three thousand great thousand worlds. From the sound of the lute, the sounds of suffering, emptiness, impermanence, impurity, and selflessness arose. All sentient beings heard from that music the sounds of repaying the kindness of the Tathagata, repaying the kindness, and serving their parents for immeasurable and countless kalpas. All sentient beings who heard that sound came to the place in Jambudvipa where the Buddha was, bowed their heads to the feet, and sat to one side. At that time, the Tathagata was in samadhi.
