Like an elephant entering a tamer's house, destroy the forces of the Lord of Death. Whoever in this Dharma and Discipline, conducts themselves with mindfulness, will completely abandon the cycle of birth, and will bring suffering to an end. Thus it is spoken. Then, those rays of light circled the realm of the three-thousand great-thousand world system, following after the Blessed One. If the Blessed One wished to prophesy about past actions, they would not appear on the Blessed One's robe. If he wished to prophesy about future actions, they would not appear in front. If he wished to prophesy that sentient beings would be born in hell, they would not appear on the soles of his feet. If he wished to prophesy that they would be born as animals, they would not appear on the heels of his feet. If he wished to prophesy that they would be born as hungry ghosts, they would not appear on his toes. If he wished to prophesy that they would be born as humans, they would not appear on his two knees. If he wished to prophesy that they would become a wheel-turning king of power, they would not appear on the palm of his left hand. If he wished to prophesy that they would become a wheel-turning king, they would not appear on the palm of his right hand. If he wished to prophesy that they would be born as gods, they would not appear on his navel. If he wished to prophesy that they would attain the enlightenment of a Hearer, they would not appear on his face. If he wished to prophesy that they would attain the enlightenment of a Solitary Buddha, they would not appear on the hair between his eyebrows. If he wished to prophesy that they would attain the Unsurpassed, Perfect, and Complete Enlightenment, they would not appear on the crown of his head. Then, those rays of light circumambulated the Blessed One three times, and disappeared into the crown of the Blessed One's head. Then, the Venerable Ananda, with his palms joined, asked the Blessed One: "A variety of thousands of colors, many emerged from the door of your mouth, they illuminate all directions, just as the rising sun does." Again, he asked in verse: "Free from frivolity and, abandoning arrogance and displeasure, the Buddha is the supreme cause for beings, the victorious subduers of enemies are the cause."

Without causes or conditions, they do not show a smile like a lotus root or a conch shell color. With steadfastness and their own wisdom, they understand the times. Those who seek to hear the victorious teachings of the renunciates, Pray that the supreme words of the Thubpa Khyuchok (Supreme Sage) be firm, And that the doubts arising in the minds of the virtuous be dispelled. Like the ocean and the king of mountains, steadfast, The protectors, the complete Buddhas, do not show smiles now. For whose benefit do the heroes show smiles? That is what most beings desire to hear from you. The Bhagavan said: Ananda, it is so, it is so. Ananda, the Tathagatas, Arhats, perfectly enlightened Buddhas, do not smile without cause or condition. Ananda, do you see this Tirthika (non-Buddhist) benefactor showing me such respect? Venerable one, I see it. Ananda, this Tirthika benefactor, by giving away the roots of virtue, the mind of enlightenment, and the Dharma of giving, will achieve perfect enlightenment in three countless eons, will be embraced by great compassion, will perfect the six paramitas, will possess the ten powers, the four fearlessnesses, the three unmixed mindfulnesses, and great compassion, and will become the unmoving Tathagata, Arhat, perfectly enlightened Buddha, and will appear in the world. His Dharma of giving is what makes my mind rejoice. After the Bhagavan spoke thus, the monks rejoiced and greatly praised what the Bhagavan had said. The so-called king, the Buddhas, the Bhagavats, were honored, respected, depicted, and offered to by kings, great ministers, wealthy people, People of the palace retinue, merchants, captains, gods, nagas, yakshas, asuras, garudas, kinnaras, and mahoragas. The Buddha, the Bhagavan, who is worshipped and known by the great Brahmas and others, endowed with great merit, having obtained robes, food, bedding, seats, medicines for the sick, and medical supplies, was dwelling in Shravasti with the community of Shravaka monks, in the Jeta Grove, Anathapindika's Garden. At that time, King Prasenajit of Kosala and King Ajatashatru were not on good terms with each other. Then, King Ajatashatru equipped the four divisions of his army, namely the elephant corps, the cavalry, the chariot corps, and the infantry, and led them out to wage war against King Prasenajit of Kosala. King Prasenajit of Kosala also heard that King Ajatashatru had equipped the four divisions of his army, namely the elephant corps, the cavalry, the chariot corps, and the infantry, and had led them out to wage war against him. Having heard this, he also equipped the four divisions of his army, namely the elephant corps, the cavalry, the chariot corps, and the infantry, and led them out to wage war against King Ajatashatru. Then, King Ajatashatru seized all of King Prasenajit of Kosala's elephant corps, cavalry, chariot corps, and infantry, and King Prasenajit of Kosala was defeated, frightened, and exhausted, utterly defeated and turning his back, he went to Shravasti alone in a chariot, and this happened three times. Then, King Prasenajit of Kosala entered a chamber of sorrow, leaning on a cane with his hands, and sat there dejected. At that time, in Shravasti, there was a wealthy merchant, rich in possessions and great in enjoyment, possessing vast and extensive holdings, endowed with the wealth of Vaishravana, rivaling the wealth of Vaishravana, who heard how King Prasenajit of Kosala was defeated, frightened, and exhausted, utterly defeated and turning his back, and had gone to Shravasti alone in a chariot. Having heard this, he went to where King Prasenajit of Kosala was.
