ཤིག་ཅེས་གསོལ་བ་བཏབ་ནས། དྲང་སྲོང་དེས་ཀྱང་དེ་བཞིན་དུ་བྱའོ་ཞེས་སྨྲས་སོ། །དྲང་སྲོང་གཅིག་གིས་ཀྱང་བདག་ཁྱོད་ཀྱི་ རིགས་སུ་སྐྱེ་བར་བྱའོ་ཞེས་སྨྲས་པ་དང་། རྒྱལ་པོ་རབ་ཏུ་དགའ་ནས། ཁྱོད་ཀྱང་བདག་གི་རིགས་སུ་སྐྱེ་བར་ཤོག་ཤིག།ཅེས་སྨྲས་སོ། །དེ་ནས་རྒྱལ་པོ་ཕྱིར་ལོག་ནས་དུས་ཕྱི་ཞིག་ན་དྲང་སྲོང་གསེར་གྱི་མདོག་ཅན་ཚེའི་དུས་བྱས་ནས། བཙུན་མོ་ཆེན་མོའི་མངལ་དུ་སྐྱེས་སོ། །བུད་མེད་མཁས་པས་བུ་ཡོད་པར་ཤེས་ནས་བུ་ཕོར་ཤེས་ཏེ་བདག་ལ་ངེས་པར་བུ་ཕོ་ཡོད་དོ། །ཞེས་རྒྱལ་པོ་ལ་སྨྲས་པ་དང་། རྒྱལ་པོས་ཀྱང་བཙུན་མོའི་རིམ་གྲོ་བསྐྱེད་དོ། །ཟླ་བ་དགུ་ཚང་ནས་བུ་ཁྱེའུ་གསེར་གྱི་མདོག་ཅན། སྐྲ་མཐོན་མཐིང་ཁར་འདུག་པ། མཚན་དང་ལྡན་པ་ཞིག་བཙས་སོ། །རྒྱལ་པོ་རབ་ཏུ་དགའ་ནས་བཙས་སྟོན་བྱས་ཏེ། མཚན་མཁན་གྱིས་མཚན་བཏགས་ནས། བུའི་མིང་ཡང་དགེ་དོན་དུ་བཏགས་སོ། །དེ་ནས་བཙུན་མོ་གཅིག་ཀྱང་སེམས་ཅན་དང་ལྡན་པར་གྱུར་ཏེ། དྲང་སྲོང་ཅིག་ཤོས་ཀྱང་ཚེའི་དུས་བྱས་ནས་བཙུན་མོའི་མངལ་དུ་སྐྱེས་སོ། །དེ་ནས་ཡང་བཙས་སྟོན་བྱས་ཏེ། མཚན་མཁན་གྱིས་མཚན་བལྟས་ནས། ཁྱེའུའི་མིང་སྡིག་དོན་དུ་བཏགས་སོ། །རྒྱལ་པོ་བུ་ལ་བྱམས་ཤིང་སྡུག་པས་བུ་འདུག་པའི་གནས་དབྱར་དགུན་སྟོན་དཔྱིད་སོ་སོར་བྱས་སོ། །ཁྱེའུ་ཆེར་སྐྱེས་ནས་རིག་པ་བཅོ་བརྒྱད་ལ་སོགས་ཏེ། གཙུག་ལག་ཐམས་ཅད་ལ་མཁས་པར་གྱུར་ཏོ། །ཕྱིས་དགེ་དོན་གྱིས་རྒྱལ་པོ་ལ་གསོལ་ཏེ། བདག་ཕྱི་རོལ་ཏུ་འཆག་ཅིང་ལྟད་མོ་ལྟར་འགྲོའོ་ཞེས་བྱས་པ་དང་། དེའི་ཕ་མས་ཀྱང་བུ་འཆག་ཏུ་འགྲོའོ་ཞེས་ལམ་སྲང་ཕྱག་དར་བྱེད་དུ་བཅུག་སྟེ། རྒྱལ་མཚན་དང་། བ་དན་བསྒྲེངས་ནས་མེ་ཏོག་གིས་གཏོར་ཏོ། །བདུག་པ་དང་། སྤོས་ཀྱིས་བདུག་པ་ལ་སོགས་པས་ཡོ་ལང་བཤམས་ནས། དགེ་དོན་གླང་པོ་རིན་པོ་ཆེ་སྣ་བདུན་གྱིས་བརྒྱན་པ་ལ་བསྐྱོན་ཏེ། དྲིལ་བསྒྲགས་རྫ་རྔ་བརྡུངས་རོལ་མོ་དང་སིལ་སྙན་དཀྲོལ་ཏེ། རྐྱ་པ་བརྒྱ་སྟོང་སྙེད་ཀྱིས་བསྐོར་ཏེ། གྲོང་ཁྱེར་གྱི་ཕྱི་རོལ་ཏུ་སོང་ངོ་། །ཡུལ་མི་ཐམས་ཅད་ལམ་གྱི་གཡས་གཡོན་ན་ཁང་བུ་བརྩེགས་པའི་སྟེང་ན་མིག་མི་འཛུམས་པར་ལྟ་ཞིང་། འདི་བྱིན་དང་གཟི་བརྗིད་ནི་ཚངས་པ་དང་འདྲའོ་ཞེས་བསྒྲགས་སོ། །དེ་ནས་སོང་སོང་བ་ལས་མུ་ ལྟོ་བ་དག་ཅིག་གིས་གོས་ཧྲུལ་པོ་གྱོན་ནས་སྣོད་ཆག་པ་ཐོགས་ཏེ། ཅུང་ཟད་བསླང་ངོ་ཞེས་འབོད་པ་དགེ་དོན་གྱིས་ཐོས་ནས། དེ་དག་ལ་ཁྱོད་ཅིའི་ཕྱིར་འདི་ལྟར་ཉོན་མོངས་ཤིང་སྡུག་ཅེས་དྲིས་སོ། །དེ་དག་ལས་ཁ་ཅིག་ནི་འདི་སྐད་དུ་བདག་ལ་ཕ་མ་དང་ཕུ་ནུ་དང་བུ་སྨད་དང་། གཉེན་བཤེས་མ་མཆིས་པས་སྡུག་གོ་ཞེས་ཟེར་རོ། །དེ་ལ་ཁ་ཅིག་ནི་བདག་ཅག་ཡུན་རིང་དུ་ནད་ཀྱིས་བཏབ་པས་མི་སོས་ཏེ་སྡུག་གོ་ཞེས་ཟེར་རོ། །དེ་ལ་ཁ་ཅིག་ནི་བདག་ཅག་བག་མ་བྱས་པས་ཆོམ་པོས་བཅོམ་སྟེ་ཅི་ཡང་མི་བདོག་པས་སློངས་མོ་བྱེད་དོ་ཞེས་ཟེར་རོ། །དགེ་དོན་གྱིས་དེ་སྐད་ཅེས་སྨྲས་པ་ཐོས་ནས། མཆི་མ་བླགས་ཏེ་སོང་ངོ་། །ཕ་ཟད་ཅིག་ཙམ་ནས་ཤན་པ་དག་ཅིག་སྲོག་ཆགས་བསད་ནས་པགས་པ་བཤུ་བ་དང་། དམྱལ་གཏུབ་པ་དག་མཐོང་ནས། དགེ་དོན་གྱིས་ཨེ་མ་ཧོ་འདི་དག་ཅི་བྱེད་ཅེས་དྲིས་པ་ན། བདག་ཅག་གི་ཕ་མེས་རྒྱུད་ཀྱིས་འདི་འདྲ་བའི་གསད་པའི་ལས་བྱེད་དེ། འདི་མ་བྱས་ན་མི་འཚོའོ། །ཞེས་ཟེར་རོ། །དེ་ལ་དགེ་དོན་ངོ་ཚ་བར་གྱུར་ཏེ་བལྟ་མི་ཕོད་པར་སོང་ངོ་། །དེ་ནས་ཡང་ཕ་ཟད་ཕྱིན་པ་དང་ཞིང་པ་དག་ཅིག་ཞིང་རྨོས་པའི་འོག་ཏུ་སྲིན་བུ་མང་དུ་བྱུང་བ་ལས། བྱ་མང་པོ་དག་སྦྲུལ་གདུག་པ་དག་ཐུ་ཞིང་ཟ་བ་མཐོང་བ་དང་། འདི་དག་ཅི་བྱེད་ཅེས་དྲིས་པ་ན་བདག་ཅག་ནི་ཞིང་རྨོས་ཏེ་ས་རློགས་པའི་ཤུལ་དུ་ས་བོན་བཏབ་ནས། ཕྱིས་མང་དུ་སྐྱེས་ཏེ་དེས་འཚོ་ཞིང་རྒྱལ་པོའི་དཔྱ་ཡང་དབུལ་ཞེས་ཟེར་རོ། །དགེ་དོན་དེ་ལ་ཡང་ངོ་ཚ་བར་གྱུར་ནས་ཕ་ཟད་སོང་བ་དང་། རྔོན་པ་བྱ་རྒྱ་དྲེས་པ་དང་། རྙི་བཙུགས་ནས་བྱ་རྣམས་བཤོར་བ་དང་། སེམས་ཅན་དག་བྱ་རྒྱ་དང་རྙི་ལ་ཟིན་ནས་ལུས་རྡེག་ཅིང་འཐེན་ཀྱང་མ་ཤོར་ཏེ། སྙིང་རྗེའི་སྐད་ཕྱུང་སྟེ། ཤིན་ཏུ་འཇིགས་སྐྲག་པ་དག་མཐོང་ནས། ཁྱོད་འདི་ཅི་བྱེད་ཅེས་དྲིས་ན་བདག་ཅག་ཀྱང་རྒྱུད་ཀྱིས་འདི་འདྲ་བ་གསོད་པའི་ལས་བྱེད་པས་འཚོ་ཞེས་ཟེར་རོ། །དགེ་དོན་གྱིས་དེ་སྐད་ཅེས་སྨྲས་པ་ཐོས་ནས་ཤིན་ཏུ་ཡི་མུག་སྟེ། ཡང་ཕ་ཟད་སོང་བ་དང་། ཉ་པ་དག་ཉ་རྒྱ་བཙུགས་ནས་མང་དུ་ཟིན་ཏེ། ཐང་དུ་ཕུང་པོར་སྤུངས་ནས་ད་དུང་ཡང་འགུལ་བ་དག་མཐོང་ནས་འདི་དག་ཅི་བྱེད་དྲིས་ན། བདག་ཅག་ཀྱང་རྒྱུད་ཀྱི་ལས་གཞན་མི་བྱེད་ཀྱིས་འདི་ལྟར་ཉ་བཤོར་ཞིང་འཚོ་བར་བྱེད་དོ། ། ཞེས་ཟེར་རོ། །དགེ་དོན་གྱིས་དེ་ལྟ་བུ་དག་མཐོང་ནས་འདི་སྙམ་དུ་བསམས་སོ། །སེམས་ཅན་འདི་དག་ནི་དབུལ་ཕོངས་པས་བགོ་བ་དང་། བཟའ་བའི་ཕྱིར་འདི་ལྟ་བུའི་ཁ་ན་མ་ཐོ་བའི་ལས་གསོད་པ་སོགས་བྱེད་དེ། འདི་དག་ནི་ཚེ་འཕོས་མ་ཐག་ཏུ་ངན་སོང་གསུམ་དུ་ལྷུང་སྟེ། མུན་པ་ནས་མུན་པར་འགྲོ་ཞིང་། ཐར་པའི་དུས་མེད་དོ་སྙམ་དུ་བསམས་ནས་ཕྱིར་ཁྱིམ་དུ་

祈请说“赐予”，那位仙人也说“就这样做吧”。一位仙人也说“我将转生为您的后代”，国王非常高兴，说“您也转生为我的后代吧！”。之后，国王返回，在稍晚的时候，一位金色肤色的仙人去世后，转生为王后的大腹中。聪明的妇女知道怀有身孕，并且知道是男孩，肯定地对国王说“我肯定怀的是男孩”。国王也增加了对王后的侍奉。九个月期满后，生下了一个金色肤色的男婴，头发是深蓝色的，具有吉祥的征兆。国王非常高兴，举行了诞生庆典，请相师取名，给孩子取名为善义。之后，另一位王后也怀有身孕，另一位仙人也去世后，转生为王后的腹中。之后，又举行了诞生庆典，请相师看相，给孩子取名为恶义。国王疼爱儿子，为儿子建造了适合春夏秋冬居住的住所。孩子们长大后，精通了十八种学问等所有学科。后来，善义请求国王说“我想去外面散步观光”，他的父母也允许儿子去散步，让人打扫街道，竖起旗帜和幡幢，用鲜花散布。用熏香和香料等布置了盛大的仪式，让善义骑上用七宝装饰的珍贵大象，敲响锣鼓，演奏音乐和钹，由成百上千的人围绕着，前往城外。所有居民都站在道路两旁的楼房上，目不转睛地观看，并宣称“这福德和光辉如同梵天”。之后，走啊走啊，一些 饥饿的人穿着破烂的衣服，拿着破损的器皿，呼喊着“稍微施舍一点”，善义听到后，问他们“你们为什么如此痛苦悲伤？”

Having prayed, saying "Grant it," that hermit also said, "So be it." One hermit also said, "I shall be born into your lineage," and the king was overjoyed and said, "May you also be born into my lineage!" Then, the king returned, and at a later time, a golden-colored hermit passed away and was born in the womb of the great queen. The wise woman knew that she was pregnant and knew it was a boy, saying to the king with certainty, "I definitely have a son." The king also increased his service to the queen. After nine months, she gave birth to a golden-colored boy, with hair of a dark blue hue, possessing auspicious signs. The king was overjoyed and held a birth celebration, and the name-giver gave a name, and the boy's name was also given as Virtue-Meaning. Then, another queen also became pregnant, and another hermit also passed away and was born in the womb of the queen. Then, again, a birth celebration was held, and the name-giver looked at the signs and gave the boy the name Sin-Meaning. The king loved and cherished his sons, and built separate residences for them to live in during the summer, winter, autumn, and spring. The boys grew up and became skilled in all the arts, including the eighteen sciences. Later, Virtue-Meaning requested the king, saying, "I would like to go outside to stroll and sightsee," and his parents also allowed their son to go for a walk, ordering people to sweep the streets, raise banners and flags, and scatter flowers. They arranged a grand procession with incense and perfumes, and had Virtue-Meaning ride on a precious elephant adorned with the seven treasures, and they beat drums and played music and cymbals, surrounded by hundreds and thousands of people, and went outside the city. All the townspeople stood on the buildings on both sides of the road, watching without blinking, and proclaimed, "This fortune and glory are like Brahma." Then, as they went on and on, some hungry people, wearing ragged clothes and holding broken vessels, called out, "Give a little!" Virtue-Meaning heard this and asked them, "Why are you so miserable and sad?"

It is like this. Some of them say, 'I am suffering because I have no parents, siblings, children, or relatives and friends.' Others say, 'We are suffering because we have been afflicted by illness for a long time and cannot recover.' Still others say, 'We were robbed by bandits after we got married, and we have nothing, so we are begging.' When Gedun heard them say this, he shed tears and left. After a while, he saw some butchers slaughtering livestock and skinning them, and some people dismembering corpses. Gedun asked, 'Alas, what are these people doing?' They said, 'Our ancestors have been doing this slaughtering business, and we cannot survive without doing this.' Gedun felt ashamed and left without daring to look. After that, he walked a little further and saw some farmers plowing the fields, and many worms emerged from the ground. Many birds and venomous snakes were fighting to eat these worms. He asked, 'What are these people doing?' They said, 'We plow the fields and turn the soil, then sow seeds in the ground. Later, the crops grow, and we live on them, and we also pay taxes to the king.' Gedun also felt ashamed of this and walked a little further. He saw hunters setting up nets and traps to catch birds. The animals were caught in the nets and traps, struggling and flapping their bodies, but they could not escape, uttering pitiful cries, and were very frightened. He asked, 'What are you doing?' They said, 'We have been doing this killing business for generations, and we live on it.' When Gedun heard them say this, he felt very depressed and walked a little further. He saw fishermen setting up nets to catch fish, catching many fish, piling them up on the shore, and they were still moving. He asked, 'What are you doing?' 'We don't do any other business for generations, we just catch fish like this to make a living.' They said this. When Gedun saw these scenes, he thought, 'These sentient beings are doing such unwholesome deeds such as killing for clothing and food because of poverty. Immediately after they die, they will fall into the three lower realms, going from darkness to darkness, and there will be no time for liberation.' Thinking this, he returned home.
