ན་པོ་སྟོན་པ་དྲུག་ནི་ཡོན་ཏན་དང་ལྡན་སྙམ་སྟེ། དེ་བཞིན་གཤེགས་པ་དང་ཆོ་འཕྲུལ་འགྲན་ནོ་ཞེས་མཆིས་ན། བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ཀྱིས་ཚར་བཅད་དུ་གསོལ། བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ཀྱིས་བཀའ་སྩལ་པ། ང་ཉིད་དུས་མཁྱེན་ཏོ། །དེ་ནས་ལི་་་རྣམས་ཡུལ་མི་རྣམས་དང་། ཡོ་བྱད་རྒྱལ་པོ་གཟུགས་ཅན་སྙིང་པོ་བཞིན་དུ་སྦྱར་ཏེ། སང་ལྟ་བུར་འགྲན་པ་ལས། དེ་རིང་ལྟ་བུ་བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་དགེ་འདུན་དང་བཅས་པ་ཡུལ་་་ར་གཤེགས་སོ། །་་འི་རྒྱལ་པོ་ཨུ་དྲ་ཡ་ན་ཞེས་བྱ་བས་ཀྱང་བློན་པོར་བཅས་ཏེ། དེ་བཞིན་གཤེགས་པ་བསུའོ། །ཡངས་པ་ཅན་གྱི་མི་རྣམས་སང་ལྟ་བུར་དེ་བཞིན་གཤེགས་པ་ལ་ཕྱག་འཚལ་དུ་འོངས་པ་ལས། ་་ར་གཤེགས་སོ་ཞེས་ཐོས་པ་དང་། སྟོན་པ་དྲུག་པོས་ཀྱང་བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་གཤེགས་སོ་ཞེས་ཐོས་ནས། སྔར་བས་ཀྱང་ལྷག་པར་ང་རྒྱལ་སྐྱེས་ཏེ། ཡང་བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་གང་ན་བ་དེར་དོང་ངོ་། །ཡང་དེའི་ཚེ་ལི་་་རྣམས་ཀྱང་ཐེག་པ་ལྔ་བརྒྱ་བཤམས་ནས། འཁོར་ཁྲི་ཕྲག་བདུན་དང་གཟུགས་ཅན་སྙིང་པོའི་འཁོར་དང་བཅས་ཏེ། ་་ར་སངས་རྒྱས་དང་སྟོན་པ་དྲུག་ཆོ་འཕྲུལ་འགྲན་པ་ལ་བལྟར་དོང་ངོ་། །སྟོན་པ་དྲུག་པོ་་་ར་ཕྱིན་ནས། རྒྱལ་པོ་ཨུ་དྲ་ཡ་ན་ལ་གཏམ་སྔ་མ་བྱས་ཏེ། དགེ་སྦྱོང་་ཏ་མ་འདི་སྡོད་དུ་མ་བཏུབ་ནས་བདག་ཅག་ལ་བྱོལ་གྱིས། རྒྱལ་པོས་བདག་ཅག་དང་ཆོ་འཕྲུལ་འགྲན་པར་དུས་ཐོབ་ཅིག་ཅེས་གསོལ་པ་དང་། ཨུ་དྲ་ཡ་ནས་སངས་རྒྱས་ལ་འདི་སྐད་ཅེས་གསོལ་ཏོ། །སྟོན་པ་དྲུག་ནི་བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་དང་ཆོ་འཕྲུལ་འགྲན་ནོ་ཞེས་མཆིས་ན་མཁྱེན་ཏམ། བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ཀྱིས་བཀའ་སྩལ་པ། ང་ཉིད་དུས་མཁྱེན་ཏོ། །དེ་ནས་ཨུ་དྲ་ཡ་ནས་རྒྱལ་པོ་གཟུགས་ཅན་སྙིང་པོ་བཞིན་དུ་སྦྱར་ཏེ། བཤམས་པ་དང་། བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་དགེ་སློང་གི་དགེ་འདུན་དང་བཅས་ཏེ། ཡུལ་ཝར་གྱིར་གཤེགས་སོ། །ཝར་གྱིའི་རྒྱལ་པོ་ཤུན་ཙི་ད་ལས་ཀྱང་མི་མང་པོ་དང་དེ་ བཞིན་གཤེགས་པ་བསུའོ། །་་འི་མི་རྣམས་ཀྱིས་ཀྱང་དེ་བཞིན་གཤེགས་པ་ཡུལ་ཝར་གྱིར་གཤེགས་པ་གཟོད་ཐོས་ཀྱིས། སྟོན་པ་དྲུག་ཀྱང་ཕྱི་བཞིན་སོང་ངོ་། །དེའི་ཚེ་རྒྱལ་པོ་ཨུ་དྲ་ཡ་ན་འཁོར་སྟོང་ཕྲག་བརྒྱད་ཁྲི་དང་རྒྱལ་པོ་གཟུགས་ཅན་སྙིང་པོ་ལ་སོགས་པ་ཐམས་ཅད་དང་འགྲོགས་ཏེ་ཡུལ་ཝར་གྱིར་གཤེགས་སོ། །དེ་ནས་སྟོན་པ་དྲུག་པོས་རྒྱལ་པོ་ཤུན་ཙི་ད་ལ་ལ་བདག་ཅག་དགེ་སྦྱོང་་ཏ་མ་ལ་ཆོ་འཕྲུལ་འགྲན་པར་གྱིས་ཤིག་ཅེས་གསོལ་པ་དང་། རྒྱལ་པོ་དེས་ཀྱང་དེ་བཞིན་དུ་གསོལ་ནས། བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ཀྱིས་ང་ཉིད་དུས་མཁྱེན་ཏོ་ཞེས་བཀའ་སྩལ་ཏོ། །རྒྱལ་པོ་དེས་ཀྱང་ཡོ་བྱད་སྦྱར་ཏེ་བཤམས་པ་དང་། བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་དགེ་སློང་གི་དགེ་འདུན་དང་བཅས་ཏེ། ཡུལ་ཏི་ཀི་ཙ་ཤི་རིར་གཤེགས་སོ། །ཡུལ་ཏི་ཀི་ཙ་ཤི་རིའི་རྒྱལ་པོ་ཨིན་དྲ་བ་མི་ཞེས་བྱ་བས། འཁོར་མང་པོ་དང་དེ་བཞིན་གཤེགས་པ་བསུའོ། །དེའི་ཚེ་རྒྱལ་པོ་ཤུན་ཙི་ད་ལ་འཁོར་ཁྲི་ཕྲག་ལྔ་དང་། རྒྱལ་པོ་གཟུགས་ཅན་སྙིང་པོ་ལ་སོགས་པ་ཐམས་ཅད་དང་འགྲོགས་ཏེ། ཡུལ་ཏི་ཀི་ཙ་ཤི་རིར་དོང་ངོ་། །སྟོན་པ་དྲུག་པོ་ཡང་ཡུལ་དེར་ཕྱིན་ནས། རྒྱལ་པོ་ཨིན་དྲ་བ་མི་ལ་སྐད་ཆེན་པོར་དགེ་སྦྱོང་་ཏ་མ་དང་། བདག་ཅག་ཆོ་འཕྲུལ་འགྲན་པར་གྱིས་ཤིག་ཅེས་ཟློག་མ་ཐུབ་བོ། །དེའི་ཚེ་ཨིན་དྲ་བ་མིས། བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་གང་ན་བ་དེར་སོང་ནས་དེ་བཞིན་དུ་གསོལ་པ་དང་། བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ཀྱིས་ང་ཉིད་དུས་མཁྱེན་ཏོ་ཞེས་བཀའ་སྩལ་ཏོ། །དེ་ནས་རྒྱལ་པོ་དེས་ཀྱང་ཡོ་བྱད་བཤམས་ཏེ། དུས་ལ་བབ་པ་དང་། བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་དགེ་སློང་གི་དགེ་འདུན་དང་བཅས་ཏེ། ཡུལ་་་ཌ་ར་གཤེགས་སོ། །ཡུལ་དེའི་རྒྱལ་པོ་ཚངས་སྦྱིན་ཞེས་བྱ་བས་ཀྱང་། འཁོར་མང་པོ་དེ་དག་དང་དེ་བཞིན་གཤེགས་པ་བསུའོ། །ཏི་ཀི་ཙ་ཤི་རིའི་མི་དག་དེ་བཞིན་གཤེགས་པ་བཞུད་པར་གདོད་ཤེས་ནས། སྟོན་པ་དྲུག་ཀྱང་དེའི་རྗེས་སུ་སོང་ངོ་། །རྒྱལ་པོ་ཨིན་དྲ་བ་མིས་ཀྱང་འཁོར་ཁྲི་ཕྲག་དྲུག་དང་བཅས་ཏེ། རྒྱལ་པོ་གཟུགས་ཅན་སྙིང་པོ་ལ་སོགས་པ་རྒྱལ་པོ་ཐམས་ཅད་དང་འགྲོགས་ཏེ་གནས་དེར་སོང་ངོ་། །སྟོན་པ་དྲུག་ཀྱང་དེའི་ཕྱིར་ཕྱིན་ཏེ། དེ་བཞིན་དུ་རྒྱལ་པོ་དེ་ལ་གསོལ་ནས་ རྒྱལ་པོ་དེས་དེ་བཞིན་དུ་གསོལ་པ་དང་། ང་ཉིད་དུས་མཁྱེན་ཏོ་ཞེས་བཀའ་སྩལ་ཏོ། །དེ་ནས་རྒྱལ་པོ་དེས་ཀྱང་ཡོ་བྱད་སྦྱར་ཏེ་བཤམས་པ་ལས། བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་དགེ་སློང་གི་དགེ་འདུན་དང་བཅས་ཏེ་ཡུལ་སེར་སྐྱར་གཤེགས་སོ། །ཡུལ་སེར་སྐྱའི་ཤཱཀྱའི་རིགས་རྣམས་གཅིག་གིས་གཅིག་སྦྲན་ནས། ཐམས་ཅད་འདུས་ཏེ་དེ་བཞིན་གཤེགས་པ་བསུའོ། །ཡུལ་་་ཌ་འི་མི་རྣམས་ཀྱིས་ཀྱང་། དེ་བཞིན་གཤེགས་པ་བཞུད་པར་གཟོད་རྟོགས་ནས་སྟོན་པ་དྲུག་པོ་ཡང་རྗེས་སུ་སོང་ངོ་། །རྒྱལ་པོ་ཚངས་སྦྱིན་འཁོར་ཁྲི་ཕྲག་བརྒྱད་ཅུ་དང་། གཟུགས་ཅན་སྙིང་པོ་ལ་སོགས་ཏེ་རྒྱལ་པོ་དྲུག་ཆར་ཡང་འཁོར་དང་བཅས་ཏེ། བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་གང་དུ་གཤེགས་པའི་རྗེས་སུ་དོང་ངོ་། །སྟོན་པ་དྲུག་ཀྱང་དེར་ཕྱིན་པ་དང་། ཤཱཀྱའི་རིགས་རྣམས་ལ་དགེ་སྦྱོང་་ཏ་མ་དང་། ཆོ་འཕྲུལ་འགྲན་པར་བྱས་པ་ལས་ངེད་ཀྱི་མཐུ་ཆེ་བ་ལས་བྱོལ་ལོ་ཞེས་ཡེངས་མ་གཏམ་

外道六师心想具有功德，禀告说要与如来比试神通。世尊请予以制止。世尊说：我自知时。之后，离车人等与当地民众，以及如仪国王形坚藏一样准备着。本来说好明天比试，但今天世尊与僧众已前往某地。某地的国王邬陀衍那也率领大臣迎接如来。广严城的人们本来说好明天来拜见如来，但听到说已前往某地。外道六师也听到世尊已前往某地，比之前更加傲慢，又去往世尊所在之处。当时，离车人等也准备了五百乘车，与七万眷属及形坚藏的眷属一起，前往某地观看佛陀与外道六师比试神通。外道六师到达某地后，先对邬陀衍那国王说：沙门瞿昙无法在此久留，逃到我们这里来了。请国王给我们机会与我们比试神通。邬陀衍那对佛陀这样禀告说：外道六师禀告说要与世尊比试神通，您知道吗？世尊说：我自知时。之后，邬陀衍那像形坚藏国王一样准备着，世尊与比丘僧众前往瓦尔吉国。瓦尔吉国的国王顺次达也率领众多民众迎接如来。某地的人们也才听说如来已前往瓦尔吉国，外道六师也随后前往。当时，邬陀衍那国王与八万眷属及形坚藏国王等所有人都一同前往瓦尔吉国。之后，外道六师对顺次达国王说：请让我们与沙门瞿昙比试神通吧。国王也同样禀告后，世尊说：我自知时。

The six heretical teachers thought they possessed merits and reported that they wanted to compete with the Tathagata in miraculous powers. They requested the Blessed One to stop them. The Blessed One said: I know the time myself. Then, the Licchavis and the local people, as well as King Rūpadhāraṇa, prepared in the same way. They had agreed to compete tomorrow, but today the Blessed One and the Sangha had already gone to a certain place. The king of that place, Udrāyaṇa, also led his ministers to welcome the Tathagata. The people of Vaishali had agreed to come to pay homage to the Tathagata tomorrow, but when they heard that he had gone to a certain place. The six heretical teachers also heard that the Blessed One had gone to a certain place, and they became even more arrogant than before, and went to where the Blessed One was. At that time, the Licchavis also prepared five hundred vehicles, and together with seventy thousand attendants and the attendants of Rūpadhāraṇa, they went to a certain place to watch the Buddha and the six heretical teachers compete in miraculous powers. After the six heretical teachers arrived at a certain place, they first said to King Udrāyaṇa: The Shramana Gautama could not stay here for long and fled to us. Please give the king a chance to compete with us in miraculous powers. Udrāyaṇa reported to the Buddha in this way: The six heretical teachers reported that they wanted to compete with the Blessed One in miraculous powers, do you know? The Blessed One said: I know the time myself. Then, Udrāyaṇa prepared like King Rūpadhāraṇa, and the Blessed One and the Bhikshu Sangha went to the country of Vārgi. King Shun Chida of Vārgi also led many people to welcome the Tathagata. The people of a certain place also heard that the Tathagata had gone to the country of Vārgi, and the six heretical teachers followed. At that time, King Udrāyaṇa and eighty thousand attendants and King Rūpadhāraṇa and all the others went to the country of Vārgi together. After that, the six heretical teachers said to King Shun Chida: Please let us compete with the Shramana Gautama in miraculous powers. After the king also reported in the same way, the Blessed One said: I know the time myself.

Then, the king also prepared the necessary items, and when the time came, the Blessed One, together with the community of monks, went to the country of... Da. The king of that country, named Brahma Datta, also welcomed the Tathagata with many attendants. The people of Tiki Tsashi Ri, having learned that the Tathagata had departed, the six heretical teachers also followed him. King Indravarmi, with sixty thousand attendants, and King Kusumnandi and all the other kings, went together to that place. The six heretical teachers also went there for that purpose, and similarly reported to the king, and the king also reported similarly. The Blessed One said, 'I know the time.'
