Thinking to place it in one place, but they were physically tired, physically exhausted, and physically bent, and even though they tried their best, they could not move that large, wide stone. How could they even think of lifting or throwing it? Then, the Blessed One, surrounded by a Sangha of monks and with a monastic community leading the way, went to the place where that large, wide stone was located. The giants born in the city of Kushinagar saw the Blessed One coming from afar. Seeing him, they rejoiced and were delighted, and joy, happiness, and contentment arose, and great respect for the teacher arose. Everyone welcomed the Blessed One. They bowed their heads at the feet of the Blessed One and circumambulated the Blessed One three times. After circumambulating the Blessed One three times, they stood silently to one side. The Blessed One said to the giants of the city of Kushinagar who were standing to one side: "Young men, is this also undertaken with great effort? Are you laboring?" After the Blessed One said this, the giants of the city of Kushinagar said to the Blessed One: "Venerable one, we, the giants of the city of Kushinagar, having served the wandering giants, have fallen into sin, and the sinful worms have entered the lotus grove. Those giants born in sin have served in the best way, offered the best offerings, and also served with the best respect for the teacher. The Blessed One also benefited them with the excellent, abundant, and unsurpassed Dharma. Now, we have heard that the Blessed One, surrounded by a Sangha of monks and with a monastic community leading the way, has come to the fields of our village, the city of Kushinagar. Having heard this, we thought to ourselves: We should also benefit ourselves by serving and making offerings to the Blessed One. Therefore, we are cleaning the entire city of Kushinagar according to the ritual, sweeping it clean.

Also hold festivals grandly. Also, the place where the Blessed One (Bhagavān) passed away should be cleaned according to the rituals. From now on, it would be good if we all welcomed, thinking like this, then we all gather together and truly rejoice, without disputes, wholeheartedly, with one mind and one heart, clean the entire city of Kushinagar according to the rituals. Alas, the strong warriors of the city of Kushinagar, possessing the most perfect body, possessing great strength have appeared, they will say that, after repeatedly thinking like this, those knowledgeable people, the warriors of the city of Kushinagar and the young warriors, listen, this road of ours...

Alas, the courageous heroes of the city of Kusha, endowed with the most excellent form, endowed with great strength, have appeared!' they will say.
