The Sutra of the Holy One Throwing Stones The Sutra of the Holy One Throwing Stones In Sanskrit: Arya Shila Kshiva ta Sutram. In Tibetan: The Sutra of the Holy One Throwing Stones. Volume One. Homage to the Holy Manjushri, the Youthful! Thus have I heard. At one time, the Blessed One, having traveled through the land of the giants, arrived at the place of sin, and resided in the lotus grove of the sinful worm. Then, the Blessed One said to the Venerable Ananda: Ananda, come to the city of Kusha! The Venerable Ananda replied: As the Venerable One commands. And so, the Venerable Ananda listened to the Blessed One. At that time, the giants of the city of Kusha numbered about five hundred. Each of these giants had hundreds upon hundreds of attendants. 善逝、应供、正等觉佛陀也应供养，在各个方向和角落，我们的大善行广为人知，通过声音和诗句而显得卓越。如果有人将这块宽广的巨石从这边抬到另一边，就会说：“啊呀！拘舍城的巨人们真是勇敢啊！啊呀！拘舍城的巨人们真是坚韧不拔，拥有最佳的肢体，并且非常强壮啊！”因此，有智慧的人们会说：“这块宽广的巨石在哪里呢？大家都去看看吧，就是这样。”拘舍城的巨人们互相倾听着这些话，他们各自骑着骏马，心想：“我们是这片土地上最强壮的。”他们因种姓、力量、体格和财富而骄傲自满，发出高亢而巨大的声音，喧哗吵闹，感到高兴、快乐和满足，心中充满了喜悦。他们带着极大的财富，从拘舍城出发，带着马、骡子、蓝色公牛的首领、 健壮的公牛、大象，以及成百上千的香象，前往那块宽广的巨石所在的地方。到达后，他们用坚固的毛绳多次缠绕那块宽广的巨石。有些人架设梯子，用芒草、巴瓦扎草的绳子和马牵引的绳子来回拉动。有些人想用犁铧将其从根部挖出。有些人想用战斧砍伐。有些人想用金刚杵击打成粉末。有些人想用身体的力量捆绑住边缘并将其移动。有些人想用健壮的公牛和公牛的首领将其推倒。有些人想用牛群的力量将其彻底摧毁。有些人想用药物的力量将其破坏。有些人想用咒语的力量使其隐形。因此，他们以这样的努力、正直和勤奋，才将它从这边抬起。

The Sugata, the Arhat, the perfectly enlightened Buddha, should also be offered to. In all directions and corners, our great virtue is widely known, and it becomes prominent through sounds and verses. If someone lifts this wide, large stone from this side and places it on the other side, people will say, "Oh, the giants of Kusha city are truly brave! Oh, the giants of Kusha city are truly steadfast, possessing excellent limbs, and are very strong!" Therefore, wise people will say, "Where is this wide, large stone? Let everyone go and see it, it is just like that." The giants of Kusha city listened to each other's words, and each of them rode on fine steeds, thinking, "We are the strongest on this earth." They came, arrogant and conceited due to their lineage, strength, physique, and wealth, making loud and great noises, clamoring and chattering, feeling joyful, happy, and content, with joy in their hearts. With great wealth, they came from Kusha city, bringing horses, mules, leaders of blue bulls, strong bulls, elephants, and hundreds of thousands of fragrant elephants, and went to the place where the wide, large stone was. Having arrived, they repeatedly wrapped the wide, large stone with strong hair ropes. Some erected ladders, and pulled it back and forth with ropes of munja grass, balbaja grass, and horse-drawn ropes. Some wanted to dig it out from the root with iron plows. Some wanted to cut it down with battle axes. Some wanted to pulverize it with vajra strikes. Some wanted to bind the edges with physical strength and move it completely. Some wanted to topple it with strong bulls and leaders of bulls. Some wanted to completely destroy it with the strength of the cattle herd. Some wanted to destroy it with the power of medicine. Some wanted to make it invisible with the power of mantras. Therefore, with such effort, honesty, and diligence, they lifted it from this side.
