The worm called "acting within" dwells in my head, and if the one born from it and eating it becomes angry, then sores will appear on the head. The worm called "moving between the joints" dwells separately in my body, between the cheeks, and is born from it and also eats it, and it goes everywhere between the outer sides of the ears, and if it becomes angry and eats, it pierces like a needle. The worm called "eating saliva" dwells in the tube where the flavors of food flow and at the root of the tongue, and is born from it and eats it, and if it becomes angry, then my mouth will become dry. Worms dwell separately at the roots of the teeth, and if the one called "eating the roots of the teeth" becomes angry, then the teeth will ache. Thus, the yogi dwells observing the body in the body of the inner self. Ten kinds of worms dwell in my head. Furthermore, the yogi dwells observing the body in the body of the bones, flesh, and separate inner selves of the head, and how much there is of the bones and flesh of the head is seen by the wisdom born from hearing or by the divine eye. The skull of the head is in four pieces. The cheekbones are three. The jawbone is one. The bones of the roots of the teeth are thirty-two. Thus, the bones of my palate are two. The bones of the neck are five. Furthermore, the yogi dwells observing the body in the body of the inner self, and how much flesh there is in the head of the self and how much the flesh of the head is increased by food, is seen by the wisdom born from hearing or by the divine eye. There are four pieces of flesh in my skull. There are two on the cheeks. There is one between the foreheads. There is one each for the throat, nose, and tongue. There are two pieces for the two lips. There are two pieces of the skin flaps of the ears, and they are closely connected to those lumps of flesh and grow closer due to my food, and they stretch out, expand, and become very large. Furthermore, the worms...

The things that make the throat sluggish in ten ways are: for example, eating the mucus in the mouth, producing saliva, and vomiting, which cause fluid to flow in the ten veins of the throat. Being intoxicated with sweetness, extremely intoxicated, not distinguishing the six tastes, making "la la la" sounds, extremely disliking tastes, very fond of sleeping, and being obese. To this, monks, the yogi abides contemplating the body in the body, in which places of this body have my worms become diseased, or not become diseased, and what actions are they doing? He, through the wisdom arising from hearing, or through what is seen by the divine eye, the worm that eats saliva mainly resides in the first area of the throat. When it is filled with the nature of the food I eat, and then falls into the stomach below, it is covered with mucus like vomiting in an instant, so it will descend from the swelling. Those snots are mixed with all the covered mucus. It will also become swollen, and if it becomes very obese, then it will make me cough with phlegm. Oily, sweet, very sweet, not too sour, and very cool foods will arise in the throat area. Furthermore, the yogi abides contemplating the body in the body, is the worm that produces saliva killing my teeth, or is it not killing the teeth? He, through the wisdom arising from hearing, or through what is seen by the divine eye, the worm that produces saliva separately resides in the crevices of my throat. If it exists naturally, then the food I mentioned before will not become vomit. Due to complete comfort, the fluid will also clearly flow to the ten flowing veins. For example, if there is too much phlegm, it will not become disease-free. The worm will lick phlegm, sputum, or the heart. Furthermore, the yogi abides contemplating the body in the body.

Observing and abiding. He, having seen with the wisdom born of hearing or with the divine eye, what does the worm called "emetic" do to me, whether it exists naturally or unnaturally? And what foods reside separately in my body? The extreme emetic enters into the ten channels through which semen flows, and from the region of the throat's tube, it moves upwards from the channels in an instant and appears. Even when food is eaten, it causes me to produce five types of vomiting: wind, bile, phlegm, a combination, and that caused by bees. If it remains in its own place, it descends to the bottom of the stomach as previously mentioned, causing my food to be well transformed, and it also feeds on saliva. How does the emetic worm cause vomiting through wind? He, having seen with the wisdom born of hearing or with the divine eye, if it occurs to me because of lightness, coldness, roughness, a slight contraction of the channels, and not sleeping. It enters into the tube of my neck, causing wind to arise, and because of the fault of my emetic worm moving from its position, I experience vomiting caused by wind. Furthermore, the yoga practitioner observes and abides following the body on the body. How does my emetic worm cause vomiting through bile? He, having seen with the wisdom born of hearing or with the divine eye, when one has eaten too much food that is hot, warm, salty, and contains transforming salt, the faults of my warmth and so on cause the emetic worm to feel oppressed, and it moves upwards from its position, thereby causing me to produce vomiting caused by bile. Furthermore, the yoga practitioner observes and abides following the body on the body. How does phlegm cause extreme vomiting? He, having seen with the wisdom born of hearing or with the divine eye, after eating food that has become sweet, cold, heavy, oily, soft, and sleeping day and night.
