Will be born in the great wailing hell. Killing, taking what is not given, engaging in sexual misconduct, lying, and giving intoxicating drinks made from grain and concoctions to those who have taken vows, and becoming a holder of wrong views, will lead to birth in the great hot hell. Killing, taking what is not given, engaging in sexual misconduct, lying, and causing those who hold vows to drink intoxicating drinks made from grain and concoctions, as well as wrong views and denouncing monks and nuns who hold vows, will lead to birth in the extremely hot hell. By the five deeds of fully accomplishing great evil, one will be born in Avīci (uninterrupted hell), namely: killing one's father, killing one's mother, killing an Arhat, causing dissension in the Sangha, and drawing blood from the Tathāgata Bhagavan with malicious intent. By those deeds, one will be born in the great hell of Avīci. He contemplates the ripening of the karma of the hell-dwellers and develops compassion for sentient beings. Furthermore, the practitioner of yoga abides contemplating the body in the body. How does he see the sentient beings belonging to the realm of pretas (hungry ghosts)? Furthermore, when the practitioner of yoga abides contemplating the body in the body, he sees with the wisdom born of hearing or with the divine eye, pretas born from various forms of miserliness, or those born five hundred yojanas below the earth, who in various ways have no food, have become extremely wretched, become food for each other, are exhausted by hunger and thirst, have become extremely miserable, and are scorched by the falling rain of fire. These are those who approach according to their karma, partake of the fruits of their karma, and are sheltered by their karma. Having seen those extremely miserable pretas, furthermore, when the practitioner of yoga abides contemplating the body in the body, he thoroughly observes the beings belonging to the realm of animals. He sees with the wisdom born of hearing or with the divine eye, beings who have become various forms.

are visible. In short, for those who roam in the three places, it is like this: those who roam in the water are fish and so on. Those who roam on the land are elephants, horses, cows, buffaloes, deer, pigs, and so on. Those who roam in the sky are also of many kinds. Furthermore, when a yogi dwells contemplating the body in the body, how does he see the animals born from the place of birth with the wisdom arising from seeing and hearing or with the divine eye? Answer: He sees the animals that will be born from the four places of birth with the wisdom arising from hearing or with the divine eye. Those born from the womb are pigs, cows, buffaloes, elephants, horses, and so on. Those born from eggs are snakes, geese, partridges, domestic birds, crows, and so on. Those born from moisture are lice and bedbugs, and so on. Those born by transformation are mostly long-necked dragons, and so on. He sees the animals as they truly are. For all of these three situations, no matter how desires and pleasures change, disappear, separate, or disperse, or what is unchanging, or all beings' common friends, non-friends, and intermediate aggregates have not been distinguished, or whatever deaths and births have occurred and not occurred, there is not the slightest bit in the hell realms, the ghost realms, the animal realms, and all that is included in the realms. Monks, this cycle of existence is not to be desired. Just as it is not joyful, it is not pleasing. It is so discordant, so deceptive, so utterly destructive in nature, and all beings commonly suffer. Therefore, monks, abandon desire for the place of cyclic existence. Vain, deceptive, utterly destructive in nature, impermanent, painful, creating darkness, contemplate!

May you be quickly liberated from these small things! In this way, may the Brahmins, householders, and monks of the city of Lati also see the external body as it truly is through the practice of yoga with the inner body of self, and abide in contemplating the body as body. Furthermore, how do the Brahmins, householders, and monks of the city of Lati abide in contemplating the body as body in the inner body of self? Here, they truly see and discern the impure parts that have decayed within the body in the inner body of self, not just once, but from head to toe, abiding in contemplating the body as body. When the practitioner of yoga first discerns, he sees through the wisdom born of hearing or through the divine eye, the bony head formed by the four sutures of the skull, which is a combination of four pieces of the skull, and there are worms moving within it. Those of the same kind feed on the food skull. The second type of worm, called "skull mover," moves to eat the brain marrow. They also exist separately, and there are those of the same kind and those who eat the brain marrow. Those worms that move in the bone seams of the skull exist separately in the skull seams of the head. They also have the same kind and food. The worm called "hair eater" exists outside the skull, and it feeds on the roots of the hair. If this food becomes the main food, then the head becomes bald. The worm called "ear walker" exists separately inside the two ears, and it is born from there and is also food. If it becomes angry, then the ear will ache and become diseased. The worm called "nose enterer" exists in the nostrils, and it is born from there and is also food. If it becomes angry, then it will eat all that has been eaten, drunk, smeared, and tasted. They move from my nose to the brain marrow to eat, and because of this fault, my throat will feel uncomfortable. Word.
