Non-virtuous deeds are great. Whatever binds all sentient beings, and whoever, upon seeing a Dharma speaker, turns their back and sits down, this non-virtuous deed, the previous non-virtuous deed does not even come close to a hundredth of it, a thousandth, a millionth, in number, part, count, example, or cause. Why is that? Because whoever slanders a Dharma speaker, that is slandering the Buddha. Wishing to honor the Buddha, one should honor the Dharma speaker. Wishing to make offerings to the Buddha, one should make offerings to the Dharma speaker. Wishing to prostrate to the Buddha, one should prostrate to the Dharma speaker. Why is that? Because the all-knowing one arises from Bodhisattvas, and the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, arise from Bodhisattvas. From where, relying on whom, the Bodhisattva generates the mind of enlightenment, from that place, relying on that, it should not be said that they abide in the enjoyment of the desires of afflictions. It should not be said that they never abide in pure conduct. It should not be said that even if they enter into formless concentration, they approach formlessness. Why is that? Because the Bodhisattva is not born from the power of afflictions, but the Bodhisattva is born from the power of aspiration. That is liberation from all childish behaviors. Whoever wishes to show the afflictions of a Bodhisattva, that is merely wishing to show the form of the realm of space. Son of good family, for example, since all nagas universally belong to the nature of nagas, therefore the naga king Anavatapta also enters into the count of nagas, but is not stained by the three faults of nagas. What are the three? Sand grains do not fall on his head, he does not dwell together with the body of a weary one, and the fear of garudas does not arise for him. Son of good family, he is not stained by those three faults of nagas. Son of good family, similarly, a Bodhisattva, a great being, even though experiencing all play and joy, does not desire the three realms.
