Sixth, Indra and Brahma, and hundreds of thousands of billions of gods, rained down divine flowers, incense, garlands, agarwood, tagara, and timely sandalwood powder rain, and stood before me with palms joined, saying: 'Good man, may all sentient beings not kill me, and we will completely liberate all sick sentient beings in all Buddha-fields from all diseases.' May all those who do not rain and cause famine, as well as sickness, death, quarrels, and even the ten non-virtuous paths of action, be liberated, and may sentient beings be placed on the virtuous ten paths of action. When I jumped from that tree, the gods caught me from the sky, and then I taught sentient beings and made them practice the Dharma. Then I made many hundreds of thousands of billions of sentient beings possess the five supernormal powers. My words caused the gods to place and separately arrange sentient beings in all those Buddha-fields between the virtuous ten paths of action. Venerable Bhagavan, my aspiration is like that. Then the Bhagavan praised the Bodhisattva Akashagarbha, saying, 'Well done!' and said, 'Good son, your aspiration is like that, and it is very good, very good to proclaim such a lion's roar of practice that is difficult to practice!' Good son, how did you, who were formerly called Ganga, who delighted in the sun, not become inspired by me to generate the mind of enlightenment for the first time? He replied: Venerable Bhagavan, I have never before generated the mind of unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. Venerable Bhagavan, this is how I first became a Bodhisattva: Venerable Bhagavan, I was in the presence of the Tathagata Brahma, and at that time I made such an aspiration as is now spoken. The Bhagavan said: Good son, if you had not generated the mind of enlightenment before, who taught you such an aspiration? He replied: Then I was in a solitary place.

When I was in a dangerous place and wanted to make a vow, in my dream, the Tathagata Brahma Lord advised me to make those vows, and I also made vows in front of that Tathagata. At that time, I developed compassion for sentient beings and realized the faults of samsara. Later, through recollection, I completely abandoned the speech of offering and giving, and made such vows. The Blessed One said: Have you entered those realms that you have seen? He replied: No. By whose power? He replied: Venerable Blessed One, by the power of the distinction of vows. The Blessed One said: Son of good family, it is so. By the power of the distinction of vows, sentient beings can be completely liberated from all the realms they have seen. By the power of anything else, sentient beings cannot be completely liberated from all the realms they have seen. Son of good family, for the sake of Bodhi, whose is this prophecy? Does it belong to the skandha of form to the skandha of consciousness in the three times of past, present, and future? Or does it belong to these six sources of sensation of pleasure, pain, and neither pleasure nor pain in the three times of past, present, and future? Or does it belong to no sensation? For the sake of Bodhi, whose is this prophecy? He replied: Venerable Blessed One, it is like this, I was prophesied, or I will prophesy, or I was prophesied to be unsurpassed, perfectly complete Bodhi, these are not. Why is that? Just as this space has no substance, no thing, no nature, nothing at all, no letter, no attainment, unspeakable, similarly, these dharmas also have no substance, no thing, and so on, to unspeakable, unborn. Venerable Blessed One, the form of the three times has not arisen, it is far from the nature of seeing and close to separation, and even consciousness is unborn. Venerable Blessed One, the eye of the three times has not arisen, it is far from the nature of seeing and close to separation, and even the mind of the three times, and pleasure, pain, and neither pleasure nor pain, the sensation has not arisen, it is far from seeing.

up to the point of being separated from the nature of (form). Venerable Lord, I do not perceive the true limit of form in the three times, nor the arising, abiding, or ceasing of the nature of phenomena. I do not perceive it abiding in the realm of phenomena, and I do not truly see name and form. Even in mere designation, I do not truly see the nature of form. Likewise, feelings, perceptions, formations, and, venerable Lord, I do not truly see the nature of consciousness even in mere designation, up to the true limit of consciousness in the three times. Lord, I do not truly see from the true limit of the eye in the three times to the nature of the eye, which is merely designated, up to the contact that arises from the combination of mind within the three times, pleasant feeling, painful feeling, and neither pleasant nor painful feeling. Venerable Lord, I do not perceive the arising, abiding, or ceasing of the true limit, the nature of phenomena, and the faultless nature of phenomena. I do not perceive the realm of mind and phenomena. I do not truly see the nature of the abiding of mind. Why is that? All phenomena are like a barren woman's child, like seeking a nature in the sky, without coming or going, and not being grasped by anything. All phenomena are like cataracts, like mirages, like dreams, like reflections of the moon in water, like seeking a nature in the sky, without coming or going, and not being grasped by anything. Venerable Lord, there is a samadhi of the Bodhisattva Mahasattva called "abandoning characteristics, not grasping," which is not shared by all Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas. What is the samadhi that is separated from the nature of form and cannot be grasped? It is like this: inner emptiness, outer emptiness, inner-outer emptiness, emptiness of emptiness, great emptiness, ultimate emptiness, conditioned emptiness, unconditioned emptiness, ultimate emptiness, beginning
