Thus it is. All these dharmas arise from causes and conditions. They cease when the causes and conditions are not complete. Whatever depends on causes and conditions is without self. These causes and conditions also have no maker, no feeler, no instigator, and no complete instigator. It is without self, and whatever is without self is empty of self and what belongs to self. Why is that? Because the nature of the eye is such that it is not permanent and not imperishable, therefore it is thought that there is no self or what belongs to self in it. In this, how all dharmas have no taking and discarding, are not made by the Shravakas, not made by the Pratyekabuddhas, and not made by the Tathagatas, the eye of all natures is without self. Whatever is without self is empty. With the aspect of non-apprehension, all dharmas are empty. Likewise, by meditating up to the door of the signless liberation, the basis of attachment will be abandoned, and all the afflictions arising from that cause will also be abandoned. At that time, some will realize the first truth. Some will realize up to the fourth truth. From what is called the ear, up to the nose and tongue, it is the same. Furthermore, by properly attending to the entire body, one discerns individually. Some first divide one hair into fifty parts, and then break it down into ten parts. It is the same for all the hairs that are relied upon, so that one becomes without stiffness. In any hair, no self is apprehended. It is the same for the skin of color, flesh, blood, phlegm, sinews, intestines, brain, bones, marrow, and warmth itself. For the upward moving winds, the downward moving winds, and the winds that neither take nor discard, likewise, as previously explained, one attends to the object, thereby making such individual observations of this body. By properly attending to the mind, one makes such individual observations. How does one attend? The mind relies on dharmas, and dharmas also arise relying on the mind. Friend, through consciousness, name, form, sense bases, and the contact of aggregation arise.

, feeling, and craving becomes even more intense, grasping, existence, birth, and old age and death. All these dharmas truly arise dependent on the consciousness of mind. The consciousness of mind does not come from the east, nor does it come from below. Only in a single instant, due to the cause of the aggregation of conditions, the instant in which the consciousness of mind arises also ceases. It does not remain close in the second instant, and after ceasing, it does not go anywhere, nor does it accumulate. All these dharmas arise truly from conditions. They cease when conditions are not complete. Everything depends on conditions, therefore they are without self. These conditions are also not the doer, not the feeler, not the initiator, not the universal initiator, because they are invisible, therefore they are without self. Whatever is without self is emptiness, without self and what belongs to self. Why? Because the nature of mind is such, it is not permanent, nor is it indestructible, therefore it is thought that there is no self or what belongs to self in it. All dharmas are of the nature of arising and ceasing, there is no taking or abandoning in this. This is not done by the Shravakas, not done by the Pratyekabuddhas, not done by the Tathagatas, but by nature and essence, mind is without self. Whatever is without self is emptiness. In an invisible way, all dharmas are without self. Whatever is without self is emptiness. Similarly, by meditating up to the door of signless liberation, one will abandon the basis of attachment, and one will abandon the afflictions that arise from its cause. At that time, some will realize the first truth, and some will realize up to the fourth truth. The wise, having thus completely sought the self here, because it is invisible, just as it is without self, it will become their own direct perception. Shariputra, the wise, abiding by abiding in emptiness, without aspiration, and abiding by abiding in the signless, becomes worthy of being bowed to by all the lords of the gods Indra, worthy of being offered to, and manifest.

It is worthy of being protected, worthy of being remembered, and worthy of being believed. From the one called the Lord Brahma to the one called the Lord of the Gods, and the Lord of the Nagas, the Lord of the Yakshas, the Lord of the Asuras, the Lord of the Garudas, the Lord of the Kinnaras, and the Lord of the Mahoragas, all are worthy of being prostrated to, worthy of being offered to, worthy of being manifestly protected, and worthy of being remembered. All human lords are also worthy of being believed. Shariputra, this peaceful essence dharani, the core of wisdom, was bestowed upon me by the Tathagata, the glorious Lotus Heart, received from the hands of the Bodhisattva Akashagarbha, and the great assembly, the Heart of the Sun, declared it, and bestowed faith.
