名为度母。舍利子，为何称作正等觉佛陀？因为心平等，心无染污，心不散乱，现证诸法，诸法皆为平等性，诸法皆为无不平等，因此称作正等觉佛陀。舍利子，具足此四法的菩萨，其精进不退，不为一切烦恼所染，现证无上正等菩提而成佛。舍利子，菩萨修持此四法，乃是如来所知、所见、所证、所获、所现证，故能现证圆满菩提而成佛。菩萨不退失这些功德，且修持一切圆满之行，必能现证无上正等菩提而成佛。 舍利子，具足四法，菩萨便能获得赞叹之行。何为四法？舍利子，在此，菩萨不会变得傲慢自大，而是为了断除傲慢而精进。不会变得贪恋执着，而是为了舍弃贪恋而精进。不会变得嗔恨，而是乐于修习慈爱。不会变得愚痴，而是具有智慧的力量，亲近智慧，以智慧行事，成为智慧的主人，以智慧出离，为了舍弃愚痴之网而精进，为了摧毁黑暗而精进，重视智慧之因，且具有力量，必定获得智慧。舍利子，具足此第一法，菩萨便能获得赞叹之行。舍利子，此外，菩萨以利益众生解脱为己任。舍利子，譬如某人见到自己唯一疼爱、喜爱且无可替代的儿子被国王遗弃在刑场，他的父母啊

It is called Tara. Shariputra, why is it called a perfectly enlightened Buddha? Because the mind is equal, the mind is without defilement, and the mind is without confusion, directly realizing all dharmas, all dharmas are of equal nature, and all dharmas are without inequality, therefore it is called a perfectly enlightened Buddha. Shariputra, a Bodhisattva who possesses these four dharmas will not have his diligence stolen away. He will not be defiled by all afflictions, and he will directly realize the unexcelled, perfectly complete enlightenment and become a Buddha. Shariputra, the practice of these four dharmas by a Bodhisattva is known, seen, understood, attained, and directly realized by the Tathagata, and thus he will directly realize perfect enlightenment and become a Buddha. A Bodhisattva who does not fall away from these qualities and perfects all aspects of practice will directly realize the unexcelled, perfectly complete enlightenment and become a Buddha. Shariputra, if one possesses four qualities, a Bodhisattva will attain praiseworthy conduct. What are the four? Shariputra, in this case, a Bodhisattva will not become arrogant or conceited. He has embarked on this path to overcome arrogance. He will become free from attachment. He has embarked on this path to abandon attachment. He will become free from hatred. He will rejoice in cultivating loving-kindness. He will become free from delusion. He will possess the power of wisdom. He will rely on wisdom. He will act with wisdom. He will become the master of wisdom. He will attain liberation through wisdom. He has embarked on this path to abandon the net of delusion. He has embarked on this path to destroy darkness. He will diligently take up the cause of wisdom and possess power. He will surely attain wisdom. Shariputra, if one possesses this first quality, a Bodhisattva will attain praiseworthy conduct. Shariputra, similarly, at any time when a Bodhisattva with superior intention sees any sentient being committing evil, he will say, "Alas, these sentient beings of inferior wisdom are falling away from my correct livelihood!" Then the Bodhisattva will generate compassion. Shariputra, if thinking of protecting others, one should protect oneself. Shariputra, a Bodhisattva with such a desire to benefit others will not commit evil deeds even for the sake of life. Shariputra, if one possesses these two dharmas, a Bodhisattva will attain praiseworthy actions. Shariputra, furthermore, a Bodhisattva seeks the Dharma with reverence, upholds the Dharma with reverence, and gives the Dharma with reverence. Shariputra, how should a Bodhisattva seek the Dharma with reverence? Shariputra, for a Bodhisattva who desires the Dharma, there is no treasure in the world that he is unwilling to give up out of reverence for the Khenpo and Acharya. There is no service he would not perform with his body. There is no place he would not gladly go on foot. There is no verbal service he would not gladly offer. What is the reason for this? It should be understood that the treasure of the Dharma is superior to all treasures, therefore I should abandon all treasures and seek and uphold the treasure of the Dharma. What is the reason for this? Because this Dharma can cut through all bonds. This Dharma can cut through birth, old age, sickness, death, sorrow, lamentation, suffering, and displeasure, therefore one should generate the mind of a jewel, generate the mind of rarity, generate the mind of medicine, because this Dharma can pacify the sickness of all sentient beings, so I should seek such a Dharma in order to pacify the sickness of all sentient beings. For the sake of a four-line verse, even if one were to give away a pile of jewels as large as Mount Meru, one would not generate a thought of difficulty. However, one would generate a thought of difficulty for upholding that very four-line verse. For the sake of a single word of the Dharma, even if one were to give away a universe filled with the seven precious substances, equal to the peak of existence, one would not generate a thought of difficulty. However, one would generate a thought of difficulty for upholding that very single word of the Dharma. Shariputra, a Bodhisattva upholds the Dharma with such reverence and such respect. Shariputra, this is also a wonder of a Bodhisattva. Shariputra, what do you think? Is there anyone who, seeking life, would give away this much of a pile of jewels for the sake of life? He replied: Bhagavan, no. The Bhagavan said: Shariputra, a Bodhisattva Mahasattva, desiring the Dharma, even for the sake of a single word of the Dharma, would rather fall from the realm of Brahma, or enter into a universe filled with fire throughout the three thousand great thousand worlds, but would not generate a thought of difficulty. However, one would generate a thought of difficulty for upholding this very word of the Dharma. Shariputra, that is how a Bodhisattva upholds the Dharma with reverence and respect. Shariputra, how does a Bodhisattva give the gift of Dharma with reverence and respect? Shariputra, when a Bodhisattva gives the gift of Dharma, he does not generate a mind of material gain, thinking that from this gift of mine I will obtain robes, alms, bedding, medicine for the sick, and utensils, or even that from this gift of mine I will obtain praise. Such a noble being does not give the gift of Dharma with such thoughts. However, they think about how these sentient beings are born and age
