彼时，将成为大洲，成为处所，成为怙主，成为救护，成为助伴，成为依赖。彼大国王心中如是思忖：唉！我将往何处去？我将往何方去？我将于何处获得完全的摄受？谁将成为我的归宿？如是思忖之际，他见到众生投生于地狱。例如，在无间地狱、热地狱、极热地狱等众生地狱中，经历多年、数百年、数千年，感受巨大的痛苦、难以忍受的痛苦、剧烈的痛苦、粗暴的痛苦、不悦意的感受。直至众生感受地狱之苦所造的一切罪恶不善之业完全耗尽清净之前，他都不会迎来死亡的时刻。他又见到众生投生于畜生道，例如，在浩瀚的海洋中，生有生鱼、吞噬生鱼之物等，众生互相残杀、互相侵害、无有自主地出生。他又思忖：我不会投生于饿鬼道吧？例如，在饿鬼道中，经历多年、数百年、数千年，连水的声响都听不到，更何况是见到水呢？大国王，因此，你应当观无常，观衰败和消逝，应当因死亡而感到恐惧。以佛法治理国政吧！不要以非法治理。你应当与佛法相合！不要与非法相合！那是什么缘故呢？大国王，你的这个身体，如此良好地被守护，如此良好地被养育，也终将迎来死亡的时刻。具备一切功德，极其长久地 食用、咀嚼、品尝、满足，以众多清净的福德使之满足而养育的身体，在最终卧于床榻之时，也会被医生抛弃，药物、食物、佳肴、羹汤也无济于事而被抛弃，遭受饥渴的侵扰，在不适中迎来死亡的时刻。大国王，像这样，你沐浴身体并涂抹香油，用熏香熏染，散发着花朵的香气

For example, in the hells of sentient beings such as Avīci, the hot hells, and the extremely hot hells, for many years, many hundreds of years, many thousands of years, they experience great suffering, unbearable suffering, intense suffering, harsh suffering, and unpleasant feelings. Until all the sinful and unwholesome deeds that cause sentient beings to experience the suffering of hell are completely exhausted and purified, they will not experience the moment of death. He also saw beings being born in the animal realm, for example, in the vast ocean, there are raw fish, creatures that swallow raw fish, and so on, beings killing each other, harming each other, and being born without autonomy. He also wondered: Will I not be born in the realm of pretas? For example, in the realm of pretas, for many years, many hundreds of years, many thousands of years, even the sound of water cannot be heard, let alone seeing water. Great King, therefore, you should contemplate impermanence, contemplate decay and disappearance, and you should be afraid of death. Govern the kingdom with Dharma! Do not govern with non-Dharma. You should be in harmony with Dharma! Do not be in harmony with non-Dharma! Why is that? Great King, this body of yours, so well protected, so well nurtured, will also eventually experience the moment of death. Endowed with all virtues, and for a very long time, eating, chewing, tasting, and being satisfied, nourished by satisfying it with many pure merits, even that body, when finally lying on the bed, will be abandoned by doctors, and medicine, food, delicacies, and soups will be of no avail and will be abandoned, suffering from hunger and thirst, and in discomfort will experience the moment of death. Great King, like this, you bathe your body and anoint it with fragrant oils, fumigate it with incense, and the fragrance of flowers
