Gaining retinues and becoming the eyes of all sentient beings, thereby pleasing the appearance of the Buddha. Shariputra, whether a son or daughter of good family, the root of virtue from offering a lamp will obtain the kingdom of a wheel-turning monarch. Moreover, they will possess unwavering faith and be supremely pleasing to behold, or they will obtain the great magical powers of the lord of the gods, Indra, and possess a thousand eyes, or they will become Brahma, skilled in the realm of Brahma, and thus obtain renowned meditative absorption. By completely dedicating the root of virtue to enlightenment, they will obtain those eight supreme qualities of Dharma that are desired. Furthermore, they will obtain eight qualities. What are the eight? Obtaining the immeasurable eyes of the Buddha, obtaining the immeasurable fearlessness of the Buddha, obtaining the immeasurable magical powers of the Buddha, obtaining the immeasurable discipline of the Buddha, obtaining the immeasurable samadhi of the Buddha, obtaining the immeasurable wisdom of the Buddha, obtaining the immeasurable liberation of the Buddha, and obtaining entry into the immeasurable minds and thoughts of sentient beings. Shariputra, the immeasurable ripening of offering a lamp in this way is completely grasped. Shariputra, furthermore, when sentient beings hear the Tathagata teaching the Dharma, saying, "How amazing! Emaho! The Dharma is being taught! How amazing! Emaho! The Dharma is being excellently shown!" By offering a lamp in this way, and regarding the lamp offered as a sesame oil lamp, this will cause one to hold the lamp of the Dharma. That root of virtue from offering a lamp will obtain eight immeasurable accumulations. What are the eight? Obtaining the immeasurable accumulation of mindfulness, and similarly applying this, obtaining the accumulation of intelligence, the accumulation of faith, the accumulation of diligence, the accumulation of wisdom, the accumulation of samadhi, the accumulation of fearlessness, and the immeasurable accumulation of merit. These eight immeasurable accumulations will be obtained. They will also obtain four individual perfect knowledges, and thus gradually obtain the wisdom up to the omniscient wisdom. 以作布施的善根，能获得八种殊胜的功德。八种是什么呢？获得相貌殊胜，获得眷属殊胜，获得戒律殊胜，获得转生天人和人中殊胜，获得信心殊胜，获得勇气殊胜，获得无有烦恼的圣道，以及证得无上圆满正等觉的菩提。舍利子，为什么称作不可思议呢？因为以此供养如来，其果报不可思议，利益不可思议。当时，世尊说了这段话：努力吧，显现出来吧！于佛陀的教法中精进吧！如大象摧毁茅草屋，摧毁死主的军队吧！世尊说了这段偈颂。之后，世尊对具寿舍利子说：舍利子，这五法是极难获得的。五法是什么呢？获得转生为人，于如来的教法中出家，对此生起欢喜，戒律圆满，以及漏尽。舍利子，这五法是一切众生极难获得的，而你们已经获得了。世尊如此说道，善逝如此宣说后，导师又说了这段话：为了菩提利益众生，以此供养善逝佛塔，智者以此所作之业，生生世世都将变得殊胜。从此命终，被天人赞叹，获得清净的转世。如须弥山般不可动摇，光芒照亮四方，美丽动人。天众见到后，心怀敬意，极度恭敬地对他生起欢喜。赞叹他，供养他，一遍又一遍地看也看不厌。以福德为名，他值得天人供养。如同梵天居所中的梵天一样美丽。他究竟依止了什么样的业呢？

By the root of virtue of having made offerings, one obtains eight excellent qualities. What are the eight? One obtains excellent form, one obtains excellent retinue, one obtains excellent morality, one obtains excellent birth among gods and humans, one obtains excellent faith, one obtains excellent courage, one obtains the noble path free from all afflictions, and one attains the complete and perfect enlightenment of unsurpassed perfect enlightenment. Shariputra, why is it called immeasurable? Because by offering to the Thus-Gone One, the fruit is immeasurable, the benefits are immeasurable. Then, at that time, the Blessed One said this: Strive, manifest! Be diligent in the Buddha's teachings! Like an elephant destroying a house of reeds, destroy the armies of the Lord of Death! The Blessed One spoke this verse. Then, the Blessed One said to the venerable Shariputra: Shariputra, these five things are extremely difficult to obtain. What are the five? Obtaining birth as a human, ordaining in the teachings of the Thus-Gone One, taking delight in it, perfecting morality, and the exhaustion of outflows. Shariputra, these five things are extremely difficult for all sentient beings to obtain, and you have already obtained them. The Blessed One said this, and after the Sugata had spoken thus, the Teacher also spoke these words: For the sake of enlightenment, benefiting sentient beings, by offering this to the stupa of the Sugata, by the actions done by that wise one, in all lifetimes, it will become extraordinary. From here, having died and transmigrated, praised by gods and humans, one will obtain that pure rebirth. Like Mount Meru, he is immovable, and with rays of light, he illuminates all directions and is beautiful. Having seen him, the hosts of gods, with reverence, with utmost reverence, generate joy in him. They praise him and make offerings to him, and they are never satisfied by looking again and again. Named by merit, he is worthy of being worshiped by the gods. Like Brahma beautiful in the abode of Brahma. What kind of action did he definitely rely on?
