When giving the donation of completely giving away flesh and blood, just like the aspiration generated by the Thus-Gone One, with this donation of completely giving away flesh and blood, may I enable all sentient beings to take essence from all that is without essence. Thus, make the aspiration. And there is also the following verse: Whatever ripening I have from the donation of flesh and blood, may all beings obtain essence from all that is without essence. Then, how should one strive diligently for the donation of feet? Son of the lineage, the Bodhisattva should think thus: The so-called donation of feet is the supreme word for the Bodhisattvas' bodies to become indestructible like a vajra, completely perfected. Therefore, I should definitely give the donation of feet. When giving the donation of feet, just like the aspiration generated by the Thus-Gone One, with this donation of feet, may I make the bodies of all sentient beings indestructible like a vajra, completely perfected. Thus, make the aspiration. And there is also the following verse: With this donation of feet, may I make the excrescences of the pus-filled bodies of all sentient beings become perfected, indestructible vajra bodies. Furthermore, the Bodhisattva should think thus: By giving perfect and beautiful colors, one will become endowed with beautiful colors, so I should definitely give perfect and beautiful colors. By giving perfect and beautiful scents, one will become endowed with the scent of fame. By giving perfect and delicious tastes, one will obtain abundant resources. By giving perfect and pleasant tactile sensations, one will become soft-handed and youthful. By giving from one's own hands, one will obtain service. By giving respectfully, one will be honored by others among relatives and so on. By giving at the right time, one's wealth will be accomplished and increased at the right time. By giving suitable and pleasing things, one will become attached to pleasing enjoyments such as beds and clothes. By giving without harming others, one will obtain stable enjoyments. By giving with joyfully accepting unpleasant things, one's retinue will be close.

should give. This is the one with broken precepts. This is the one endowed with virtuous qualities. This is the one endowed with non-virtuous qualities. If one gives to this one, then the fruit will be great, the benefit will be great, and the power will be great. If one gives to this one, then the fruit will not be great, the benefit will not be great, and the power will not be great, one should not think in this way. Furthermore, possessing correct mindfulness, because of not being non-correct mindfulness, when that giving, that giving, one should not generate the thought: "By this giving and root of virtue, and by the complete giving of this Dharma giving, may I become a king, or another king, or a great minister (Sanskrit: amātya), or a god, or a nāga, or a son of the gods, or any other god." So where then? Elsewhere, one should dedicate it entirely to the unsurpassed, perfectly complete enlightenment. By this root of virtue and by the complete giving for the sake of the Dharma, may I liberate those sentient beings who have not crossed over, liberate those who have not been liberated, exhale those who have not exhaled, cause those who have not completely passed into nirvana to completely pass into nirvana, and for the blind world without a guide, may I become a guide, a complete guide, a liberator, a protector, a refuge, an island, and a friend. One should dedicate in this way. To that, one should say this: By giving for the sake of the Dharma, may I, from the ocean of samsara, by the Great Vehicle that is not other, liberate all sentient beings. May all beings be released from the bonds of afflictions. Exhaling those who have not exhaled, may I show the path of nirvana. For the blind world without a guide, may I become a complete guide. For embodied beings, may I become a protector, a friend, an island, and a refuge. Son of the lineage, in this way, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva should diligently strive in the perfection of giving. Then, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva in mountain caves, huts, mountain valleys, crevices, and medicinal groves,
