Then, a great light appeared, and that golden light illuminated all the halls adorned with jewels, and even the entire universe of the three-thousand-great-thousand world system was illuminated by that great golden light. Except for the light of the Tathagatas and the light of the empowered Bodhisattvas, all other lights in this three-thousand-great-thousand world system, such as the light of the sun and moon, the light of Indra and Brahma and the world protectors, the light of gods, nagas, yakshas, gandharvas, asuras, garudas, kinnaras, and mahoragas, as well as the light of fire, jewels, precious stones, lightning, and stars, were all subdued, dimmed, and obscured. This three-thousand-great-thousand world system, where forms and darkness accumulated between the worlds, even the sun and moon, which possess such great magical powers, such great strength, and such great authority, could not be bright, shining, or clear, but that light made everything clear. That light did not obscure the grass, trees, medicinal herbs, and forests. Whether it was black mountains, snow mountains, Mount Meru, small encircling mountains, large encircling mountains, axis-holding mountains, or large axis-holding mountains, all the great mountain kings were not obscured, and even the sentient beings in the Avici hell could see, and the entire three-thousand-great-thousand world system was illuminated and became clear. When the bodies of sentient beings in hell, or those born in the animal realm, or the sentient beings in the realm of Yama were touched by that light, all their feelings of suffering disappeared, and their bodies and minds were greatly satisfied, and they thought that they possessed all happiness. In the hall adorned with jewels, in front of the Bhagavan, around the entire mandala, there were lotuses of the seven precious substances, with petals as large as chariot wheels, possessing hundreds of thousands of petals.

Fragrant, radiant, beautiful to behold, colorful and pleasing, covered above with a net of precious umbrellas, as smooth as katsalindhi and pleasant to the touch, sixty kotis emerged from the earth and appeared sublime. The fragrance emanating from each of those precious lotuses spread throughout the entire three-thousand-great-thousand world system, filling the entire three-thousand-great-thousand world system, and all the incense of the gods and humans in this realm was overwhelmed by the fragrance of the lotuses. All those gods, humans, nagas, yakshas, gandharvas, asuras, garudas, kinnaras, and mahoragas whose nasal consciousness was touched by the fragrance of the lotuses were filled with the joy of the Dharma, thinking, "I am free from afflictions." The venerable Ananda saw that golden light and the appearance of the lotuses. Having seen them, he was amazed. Being amazed and astonished, he rose from his seat, draped his upper robe over one shoulder, knelt on his right knee, and, with palms joined, bowed towards the Blessed One, saying to the Blessed One, "Blessed One, this beautiful light, and the appearance of these lotuses, never before seen or heard, what are they a sign of?" Having asked this, the Blessed One said to the venerable Ananda, "Ananda, this is the bodhisattva named Inexhaustible Wisdom from the east, surrounded and guided by sixty kotis of bodhisattvas, coming together, and this is a sign of their arrival." After the Blessed One had spoken thus, not long after, at that time the bodhisattva Inexhaustible Wisdom caused the earth to shake greatly and emitted intense rays of light, and through the great miraculous power of the bodhisattva, the great strength of the bodhisattva, and the great transformation of the bodhisattva, he caused a great rain of flowers to fall, played countless musical instruments, sang loudly, and was surrounded by sixty kotis of bodhisattvas.
